I was stood right next to where the red flares were being lit, just mental! Had the best bunch of people around me and my mate too. This really was so so good... Glasto 2011 highlight for me!
To see this live was something else all together. The visuals, the flares, the 50'000 odd people dancing in treacle like mud. Absolutely loved horse power, what a buzz
We were miles back but still the atmosphere was great. Someone had this fucking rocket thing just shot up into the sky from the middle of the crowd and hung there. Not like a flare, but seeing it shoot up was mental.
I had an epic rave in my living room watching The Brothers work it out. Highly disappointed at the BBC for only showing 30 minutes of this set.. and also missing the first few songs. Knew it didn't open on Horse Power. Although I did enjoy those glorious 30 minutes I was left wanting more. I LOVE THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS
My 14yr old daughter has been raving over this performance to her Spanish friends (obviously we live in Spain) but they think us Brits are all crazy!!!!......oh well !!!
@chump5874 Hey man, don't hate too much. Here in the States, we don't get ANY televised coverage of the big festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, or Ultra. Even half an hour of the Chems would be mind-blowing for a fan like me!
It's a shame the Chandelier bit right at the start of the set isn't shown on the main BBC highlights, that was some amazing light work. Where did it go? It was raised up and down throughout the set.
@AmMartha I'm still buzzing from it a few days on. To top this off then caught Orbital over at Arcadia afterwards. Don't get many finer evenings that that.
@90louie90 Hi, yes they did do Galvanize, but from what I can remember, it was a very short version. Maybe as they were a bit late coming on. Great show though, was very uplifting, Swoon was immense.
@TheLozia no offence but what are you trying to say exactly? That the chemical brothers would rather have their set shown for a pathetic half an hour or have their FULL set shown a la coldplay? Check the spike in album sales for the main stage headliners. I'll repeat again. Coldplay are aresholes & boyonce looks amazing & can dance.
