The emotion on Michonne’s face when she realizes that it’s Carl and Rick inside of the house Like the way she was smiling with her whole face while also being on the verge of just bursting out crying Yeah still makes me emotional every time I watch it.

Rick is still in pain and can barely stand because of his fight with The Governor and when he was in the bathroom taking his shirt off he was examining the bruises on his torso rib and chest area hence why he’s wheezing and that scene when those 3 walkers are on top of Carl is a callback to Season 2 Episode 10 when Rick had 3 walkers on him.
my favorite arc of the show is beginning, from here until 7-1 is pure cinema. so excited to see your guy’s reaction.
I tried to keep watching after season 7-1 just to see comeuppance, but nothing but disrespect so I quit after 8 finale

Same here, tho for me it was season 8.5, at that point (I won’t spoil or anything but if u know what happens you know), all the bad decisions they made kinda culminated into one very bad decision and it just was not worth it lmaooo

i started watching the show from the pilot, every episode as it came out up until 7-1. after that i dropped off for a couple years, i came back and caught up (it was somewhere around the end of 8 i believe,) but i didn’t really like seasons 7 or 8. they have their moments, but it is definitely the lowest point of the show because it’s too dragged out. i see so many people say they stopped after 8, but i really like 9, 10, and 11. they’re much better than 7 and 8. that’s just my opinion though. i won’t spoil shit but there are some really big things that i enjoy throughout those three latter seasons. so, if you have any time i highly recommend you try to finish it. no hate if you don’t though, either way i hope you have a good day 😸
Yall missing out, dont be a normie. Learn to appreciate the good things about 7-8 and you get to enjoy the huge resurgence in quality that goes from S9 all the way to the end in S11. Only braindead normies that let groupthink influence their decisions in life quit the series during 7-8. For me Negan being a hilarious legend was more than enough to carry 7-8 for me.

Fun Fact: the scene where Michonne takes out the small herd was improvised She was only supposed to take out a few because that’s what they had for the budget of the episode but the director never said cut so Danai (Michonne) Just kept going and unchoreographly took them all out It was so good that they kept it in
Also Danai Gurira (Michonne) had admitted that she keeps swords in the trunk of her car and it freaks people out when she gets her car cleaned lol.
I always felt bad for Rick this episode. The governor tore his ass up 😭😂

The look/feel Michonne gets from looking at the one Walker that looked like her she explained on the Talking Dead She sees that she is not being seen and was feeling like she was one of them like she was when we first meet her Also the two new Walker pets were the Governors men FYI: Chandler Riggs did eat that whole can of pudding He said on The Talking Dead that he is done with pudding for a while This is why it is important for when you get caught up to watch the Talking Dead after each episode.
How are they gonna get caught up to watch talking dead it’s over
Fun fact: During the filming of the pudding scene. The crew played a prank on Chandler (Carl) and did take after take, till he was sick from eating the pudding.
Carl ate a giant can of pudding, he was definitely shitting liquid for a couple days 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love the end of this episode so much! The quiver in Michonnes lips and the “its for you” gets in the feels every-time 🥰
I don't 'agree' with Carl but he is a kid and he is devastated from loosing his baby sister... so he is mad, trying to find someone to be angry at... to blame... to dump all of his emotions on.... that is what parents are for sometimes.
Michonne kept looking at that walker cuz she did look kinda like her and she didn't want to look like the dead and walk with them like she is dead, she realized she needed her people so went back to where she seen Rick's tracks to find them.
The moment Michonne saw the walker with braids, she was actually seeing herself as a walker, which is why it changes when she walks off the screen.
In each one of these episodes, in this part of the season, the characters are facing their inner demons and also confronting the challenging situation they are having with each other. There is a great deal of pain in these people but working thru it with each other can bring strength and purpose. I hope you both enjoy these episodes and where they take you in the series.
The intro changed a bit after the last episode. Also, I think this is the closest Carl has felt to Rick since the beginning. He had to see what being a brat could get him and he didn't like it. He just wasn't ready for reality to hit him. Michonne was bad ass in this and thankfully we got some back story on her.
During the Michonne and walkers, she was to kill I think 5 walkers and she was doing so great that the producers just let her go wild and took out other things
Carl was 100% being a snotty teenager.

Guys there is no way Michonne can use that katana that well if she was not trained before the fall. I know she was a lawyer and she was into cultures and arts.
I think that Carl was mad at Rick but I also think he was really scared that he would die. I think he thought if he didn’t really need his dad it wouldn’t hurt as much and he wouldn’t be as scared of being alone.

Carl is pretty much preteens/early teens now, teen angst is a thing and is probably alot worse in this kind of world. He is grieving and hurting and sometimes people lash out when dealing with what he has been through. While nothing that happened was really Rick's fault he was the one in charge even if there was a council, everyone still looked at him as the man with the final say. Carl gets alot of hate in this episode but I can understand why he is upset and why he lashed out at his dad. Keep in mind he thinks Rick is unconcious and isnt hearing what he is saying so he isnt really trying to hurt his dad. Now did Rick maybe hear some of what Carl said, maybe.
That WAS a good episode - damn bloody good!
For what it's worth, as Chance asked: I'm 100% with Carl in this episode. He'd seen Hershel die horribly, his mom and his baby sister, too. With it still in his mind that he saw his dad kill Shane - it has to be hellish for him to put all of this together and make sense of it.
His dad shouted the rest of the group down and insisted he was gonna protect them all on his terms! And he didn't. Carl has every right to vent as he did.

I agree, while none of those things were really Rick's fault since he was technically the leader even when there was a council, everyone pretty much looked at him as the man with the final say. The blame is gonna usually fall on the one who was in charge when shit hits the fan. I understand Carl's anger, it's mostly the grief thats making him talk the way he is when he unloads on Rick the way he does, I think anyway. Also Carl is still a kid and entering puberty, one can only imagine how the usual teenage angst is gonna go when you are living a daily nightmare like Carl is.

Agreed, not only is it completely understandable where Carl is coming from, the immaturity with which he goes about it speaks to the fact that, no matter what, he is still a kid, he yells cruel teen angst ramblings at his dad and he tries to be independent, he enjoys the adrenaline of messing with walkers (kid brains tend to reward adrenaline seeking behavior more than the avg adult brain) and makes a silly note on the door, he eats a whole can of pudding instead of rationing
Easily a top 5 ep for me, I love the way it explores what growing up in a world like this can look like
I am still somewhat mystified and bamboozled by the presence of a 112 oz can of chocolate pudding in someone's home . Who does that?!? I judge all "apocalypse/prepper" how-to videos now solely on whether or not they have 112 oz pudding cans in their survivalist inventory.
On Talking Dead I believe they gave that Hershel head prop to a fan 🤣
Comic Comparisons : The arc where Rick talks to Lori over the phone actually happens at this point in the comics after the prison battle because Lori’s death happens later in the comics than in the show Rick actually carries the phone with him.
Carl wasn't in a good head space when he was saying those things about Rick. I don't agree that everything was Ricks fault, but I do think Carl would have survived, at least for a while.

Great reaction fellas, and this episode was great in my opinion, you have to have filler episodes in every show so I think even though it was, it was still good, who ever says different ain't really a fan. You two dudes rock though, I'm loving you're reactions for real, great job and keep it up.

I had two ‘what the h***’ moments, one was, why Carl did not just sneak up behind the Walkers on the porch, use one hand to hold one against the house while putting a knife in the head of the other then take out the other one instead of the way he did it, second why, (if Carl is all that and can take care of himself), he did not knock on the door to the next level and wait to hear if there were any Walkers behind it, as he was taught, instead of just opening it since it opened outward, 😏

Carl has some survival knowledge but lacks wisdom and experience. It put him ahead of the Woodbury kids but he's not quite on par with the adults in terms of pull/respect so he has a wicked chip on his shoulder about it.
Jason I wouldn't want to have the armless chinless walkers either but I absolutely would be covered in walker blood/guts pretty much constantly eventually becoming anosmic to the smell in order to camouflage myself from walkers and live among them getting the best scavenge and using them as a natural defense against people.

i hear ya! theres so much seasons we wish we could binge them, but if we did that we would hafta put a hold on some cartoons. unfortuantely since this is 40minutes thats pretty much 40minutes worth of cartoons which is 2vids so 3walking dead vids = 6 cartoon vids. we would get so much hate from our cartoon fanbase if we did that =/ not to say we don''t love doing the cartoons!
