This is the first song of hers that I ever heard. It was my first listen to this album. I was thinking what the heck is this. It builds up slowly on the album and has incredible sounding instruments. It's still my favorite song of hers. I have no idea why she isn't more popular or more widely known. Overall I'd have to say she's my favorite artist. And I'm 59 so I've been around.
I love it when she does stuff like this and then, all too rarely, says in some interview that she’s looking forward to catching up on some weeding, or making some jam.
I was born in the desert I been down for years Jesus, come closer I think my time is near And I've traveled over Dry earth and floods Hell and high water To bring you my love Climbed over mountains Traveled the sea Cast down off heaven Cast down on my knees I've lain with the devil Cursed god above Forsaken heaven To bring you my love To bring you my love To bring you my love To bring you my love I know he's gonna be here You know he's gonna be here Yeah alright Forsaking heaven Curse god above Lay with the devil Bring you my love To bring you my love To bring you my love To bring you my love
I worked really hard to learn this song. I'm really good at it. She still kicks my ass. There are these little nuances and open attitude that are just so hard to get right.
PJ's use of dynamic control - whispering, growling, wailing, crooning, and her guitar work on that legendary T-bird, strumming, power chords, full distorted chords, one line riffs, it makes the drama and power of the song punch out.
I'm trying to understand it too. Sounds like "but the sound... and the sea... didn't I?... the sound... the sea..." I don't know if there's anything else.
Whenever I'm down, I watch this performance and I get a glimpse of what my life could have been If I'd been a genius at what I do.
She could play that one song and walk of the stage. Fucking powerful. Nothing to hide behind, just laying her voice and skill out to see.

That guitar... amazing.
The whole performance is great, but that little reverb and the clarity of the guitar on this vid is great. I reslly enjoyed it too!
I have been in love with this woman for 20 years:)

She's incredible......what a performance.....what a song....
she is clearly from another planet
If anyone asked me what rock music sounds like, this is certainly one video I would show them.

Feels
I was born in the desert
I been down for years
Jesus, come closer
I think my time is near
And I've traveled over
Dry earth and floods
Hell and high water
To bring you my love
Climbed over mountains
Traveled the sea
Cast down off heaven
Cast down on my knees
I've lain with the devil
Cursed god above
Forsaken heaven
To bring you my love
To bring you my love
To bring you my love
To bring you my love
I know he's gonna be here
You know he's gonna be here
Yeah alright
Forsaking heaven
Curse god above
Lay with the devil
Bring you my love
To bring you my love
To bring you my love
To bring you my love

Awesome. Been looking for this version for a good few years now. Cheers!
Su voz me hace vibrar, literalmente
Me pasa lo mismo.
Always brilliant
A very select number of performances i would want to wind back time and go there. One from each decade and surely this is there.
She is hands down the most post powerful and dynamic female performer ever. Or at least in the top 5
SUPERB!
Abso-fucking-lutely phenomenal
This sounds better than the studio !!!!!!!
Fantastica
Heard some Neil Young around 2:06. Old man riff. Great performance.
I heard it too. She's spoken about her admiration for him, so it's not surprising.
I want to show my daughter this when she's ready... part of me hopes she's never ready...
the look she gives at 2:46
Right?
what a relevation!!
About one fifty mins in LOVE PEACE XXX
I'm not sure if that was cathartic or just plain terrifying :-)

Peaky fookin blinders
This is absolutely insane 😍! She's playing lead and rhythm guitar at the same time whilst singing!!!! 💗💗💗
and yet “real guitarists” on here claim she can barely strum. Wanking idiots
Sei bella come sei, si, cosi come sei, sei tu.
Deep deep deepest
holy shit.
I wonder if more than a few girls where very interested in PJ.
Wow
PJ fan from demos. Must say camera work here is wow.
la beauté sera convulsive ou ne sera pas .Breton.
Yahooooooo!!!
How many guitar pedals does Polly need?
what does she sing right before "I know he's gonna be here"?
I'm trying to understand it too. Sounds like "but the sound... and the sea... didn't I?... the sound... the sea..." I don't know if there's anything else.
I want to know too
The sounds of the sea
Midnight, and the sound of the sea
Definitive
Such a bad-ass performance. Pity about the fkd-up video geometry and the out of sync audio, but oh well
Why does this sound like a Tony iommi riff.??
She makes me feel dizzy.
I so want to play Hide the Chop Suey Roll with this Woman....
female hendrix
She scares me
the most satanic bitch in the music Illuminati business , to dark for my likeness
