Years ago I bought insurance salvage buy long stopped. My 2023 Icon i40 golf cart with only 500 miles was totaled in Hurricane Milton. It was in 20" of salt water. My insurance company estimated the parts alone was over $4000 with a chance it would need more parts. Labor was $1450. I got a good settlement and pity someone thinking they could buy my nice cart and fixing it cheap. You need a laptop and softwear from Icon to work on it. As with toys, the batteries were not included in the insurance settlement and the 6 of them are very expensive. I enjoy the videos and we sometimes made big bucks rebuilding salvage but other times we had the worst money losers ever. Enjoy your videos and glad I am retired.
You can't believe how crazy our insurance rates have gotten in Florida. In the 11 years I have lived here, we have had 3 hurricanes and we no longer buy insurance for our modest home as it is unbelievably expensive.
Those jet skies might be easy fixes my jet ski got flooded out in hurricane sandy and the insurance company let me keep it for $250 ...all I did to it was clean it out, change the oil and spark plugs and it was ready to go and I still have it
Theres a guy here in Ft Worth that runs his own business and all he does is buy wrecked motorcycles and parts them out!! He has a VERY profitable business
if you get a golf cart careful cuz some side by sides cost less and have a bigger engine and that allows them to be registered like a car, well atleast in arizona it does where golf carts are legal only on 30-35mph when for the same price & sometimes cheaper brand new and when you can buy a sxs's thats legal on 55-65mph roads golf carts are not
That was interesting to see the boats and jet skis on foam blocks. Maybe I missed it on the earlier video; why is there no marked water line on the vehicles that were flooded?
It's interesting to see the magnitude of the flooded stuff. It would be nice if you guys could read some of the official notes and letter codes posted on cars and trucks. Same on the boats.
Hey Niko Bro's i watch all your copart videos and intrested in import a land cruise .. I wish you one day make a video on Landcruisers .. i know you dont like Japanese SUV or trucks
How do you get on the property to view? I called about a flooded boat and was told it was a future auction and unable to gain access to property. It listed an address that's right down the street can i just drive to the location and try to view?
Man in watching these videos of your ,17000 and counting cars god know how many motorcycles ,there is going to be a huge ,huge demand on the dealers down there and not to mention all the other toy dealers to.
@@johnengland8619 ir your replying to my comment i was referring to what i think will be a huge demand on dealers to have there innovatory full for ppl replaseing their cars ,motorcycles what have you .
we sent 381 bikes n scooters to copart . tried save some . 24 to 36in salt water .all junk. next day 3 days later . even swap harnesses and computers. would run but all bearings sound like bad skateboard wheel. all transmitons crusty inside
What i don't get is in Florida you had several days warning to get your stuff and get out, i understand some reasons why but it looks like they either stayed and rode it out or they walked out thinking insurance will cover it. Anyone who has filed a claim knows sometimes insurance companies run out of money in disasters like that and only pay cents on the dollar and good luck finding insurance after that.
So basically Craigslist for the next 3 or 4 years is going to be flooded with sales of cars and motorcycles and toys that have all been saltwater submerged. Wow. I guess you're just going to have to avoid any vehicle that was ever titled in Florida.
Cobart Germany you can forget about prices, you can buy used vehicles with less kilometers from private individuals, accident vehicles are available there for starting prices, no thanks, USA on the other hand is great, let's see how much the fun costs me there but I still think it's cheaper than in Germany
If they got an inboard engine and has any salt water in me engine compartment you can hang it up engines going to be seized up tighter than fort Knox I don't know what it is today I haven't had a boat with an inboard engine and probably 20 plus years when I have one that sink out there at Titusville Marina in the late '90s early 2000s in it we got a billage pump quit working during the rain storm and the motor seized up on it just a bare block was like five grand
Florida is their own worst enemy. Some of these items are near perfect, they never saw enough water to damage them. By claiming insurance on anything and everything, the day will come that only the very wealthy can afford to live in Florida, mainly due to insurance costs.

I did not see 1 single moped but did see a bunch of scooters!
Insurance must be very expensive there, the amount of payouts are incredible, great content🙏🙏

The longish boat you asked about is a Panga - very popular in Central and South America.
Panga is a very sea worthy boat but not fancy at all.
Love to buy a 3 wheeler. Worth the time to rebuild it I think.
So many precious machine s destroyed in just a few hours....wow

The quick money is in the golf carts

So when are we going to see the auctions and see what these things actually go for?
How do you know where these auctions are? Online?? Who is the better places as far as quality and price.

I don't think dealers would buy or even service a bike with a history like these

Nayese ❤❤
How about a quick purchase and rebuild
I build boats for a living. 25 plus years. The boat would be a pain in the acc because you would have to rewire the entire boat.
My dude---please, please, please get a mic sock to reduce the wind noise--you are always outside!!!
Wassup
Time to move to Florida or Texas

That's a crying shame. Especially the zoom in shots are hurtful

IAA is worse than copart, but neither one is worth a crap.
How so? In fees and things or not disclosing damages?
panga
