- There is a big difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. Forgiveness takes one, but reconciliation takes two. Your spiritual maturity depends on your willingness to face, forgive, and release past offenses. I heard someone preaching lately that even exaggeration is a sin
What if you don't want to be reconciled with the person or people? You forgive them and wish them no harm; however, there is no desire to keep company with them.
It depends on whether the person is someone who you need to love from a distance (like narcissists, people who will hurt you if you go back to them), or if it's someone that there really should be no problem reconciling with. It's not about what you want. It's about doing the right thing
