He bowled 3 155 km/h deliveries in an over, and these days, if a bowler bowls one 149 km/h + delivery in the whole match, everyone gets so hyped up.

He gradually increased the pressure with every ball first 158 then 159 and then 161.3. He was trying to get a breakthrough but eventually was distracted by the batsman who was not giving him the space he needed that's why he gave himself in those raw bouncers with full pressure. What strange is that for himself it wasn't that hard to reach that speed of course it was in a way but he was in a flow state which satisfied the variated quality and gave some positive energy to bowl with more anger and pace with raw strength and speed with a little bit of technicality to make batsman give out space but damn that batsman played all those balls very technically. Hats Off to that guy!

Shoaib was lethal from 97 to 2000 unfortunately when he got I'm injured late 2002 he struggled however I rate him with multiple injuries he still bowled consistently 155k's up to 2011 most bowlers one minor niggle or injury they reduce speed to 147k's and then retire

A lot of people like to compare Umran Malik with Shoaib Akhter. I think it's useless to compare Umran with Shoaib. No disrespect to Umran. We wish him best of luck in his career. But, Shoaib was a character. His behavior, his aggression, his fighting ability was on next level. Even Pakistani bowlers can't beat him. He was a gangster on the pitch. We've never seen a bowler like him. He was a product of a culture. Pakistani culture was seen through him. He truely represented his country.

The amount of love seeing Akhtar, Afridi and Misbah from Indians and the love for watching Tendulkar, Sehwag and Dhoni on the fields from Pakistan was what that made that era beautiful...Rivals were not boys but absolute legends going into war with each other.Damn miss that era when I used to sit in my dads lap and watch these legends on the pitch. Now honestly both India and Pakistan team are nowhere near of what both used to be.. 😹

Those were the days when after each bowl all eyes were always at the speed meter when Shoeb Akhter and Bret Lee bowled.

  • @alokupadhyay1470

That was the battle between Brett Lee and Akhtar to know who's the fastest bowler in the world. And as a part of Asian continent I'm very proud to say that Shoaib Akhtar won that battle very convincingly.
