I don't understand how she's changed so little and yet completely altered the vibe of the song to sound way more sinister. Ado never ceases to amaze me.
A little bit of soft vocal fry and a couple voice cracks can go a long way. Ado's low vocals are also just very husky in general, good for jazzy songs.
My favorite cover by Ado. I like the original song and the singer there does a good job. But Ado has the ability to put so much depth and subtle variations on each word that it's so much more impactful, while also nailing the delivery.

I had a really weird feeling the first time I watched it. After two years of listening to Ado, I was already used to her singing in Japanese and English, but here she sang in Korean and it was like an error occurred in my brain. I couldn't match her voice with what she was saying 😅. After listening to it more, I started to perceive it normally and I really like it. I'm glad that Ado is expanding her horizons 💙
as someone that tried to learn Korean, I recognised some words and was like "wth, Korean?" mind you, didn't look at the description, caugh me off guard BUT gotta admit, a nice surprise.
