많은 일들은 영웅의 관점에서 서술되곤 한다. 그 무용담을 듣고 있노라면 주로 영웅을 괴롭히는 악당보다는 영웅에게 이입하는 나를 발견한다. 옳고 선한 편에 서있다고 믿고 싶지만 그렇지 못할 때가 많고 남들에게 상처받은 것은 크게 기억하지만 내가 준 상처는 쉽게 잊어버리는 스스로의 모습에 환멸을 느끼기도 한다. 원하든 원치 않든 인간은 필연적으로 히어로와 빌런을 함께 안고 살아가야 하는 존재인 것 같다. 그 둘 중 상대적으로 소외당하는 빌런에게 한 번쯤은 주인공 자리를 주고 싶었다.

It is a message for the haters or for people who hate for fun or for no reason at all, to remind them that if you give hate to anyone, it doesnt just hurt them but also the people who love them and it is not necessarily just referring to the parents(biological). Why is this song so hard to understand for some? It's clearly about how hypocritical it is to call yourself a good person and someone else a bad person. Nobody likes to think they're bad people, and we all assume we're the heroes because from our perception, we are. To others, we might actually be the villains in their story, and the people who make our lives difficult might be the heroes of someone else's life. You can't view the world as black and white, because it's not.

the fact that she says "so many shades of grey" it means so many ppl have diffrent personality how much they are good will move to lighter grey and how much they were bad will be more dark, and grey is mix between white and black as we all know black usualy symbolize bad or evil while white is good and pure, but if you are grey you are neutral or depends wich side you have pigment the most

It's been a while, huh? I was looking into this song for an English assignment, but that's not really important. I do agree that this song isn't just black and white in its message, as people aren't simply naturally good or evil.
The song is more along the lines of how appearances/impressions can be deceiving/misleading and how we base the morality of a person on the interpretations of those appearances and initial impressions. We truly don't know the thoughts and intentions of a person, so we'll never know whether or not they are good or evil. Heck, the concept of good and evil differs for every person!
I think the key takeaway from this song is that we don't have the authority to label people as good or evil, because what if this person is only good/bad to me? What if they interpret good/evil differently? What does it even mean to be good/evil?

I wish one of my ex friends could see this. She sees things in black and white despite making a point to claim that she's this incredibly pure and understanding individual. She's also quick to deem someone a bad person if even a small part of them doesn't align with her beliefs. I doubt she'll ever acknowledge her hypocrisy. Lately I got sucked into a webtoon called Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and as I'm watching this I couldn't help but think how fitting the song and lyrics are for ORV! So good and creative!
If this was an OST it’d be in a kdrama about gambling. The main character is a girl who’s mom is an alcoholic after her husband left her. The daughter is forced to work tedious labor jobs to provide food for herself and money for alcohol for her mom. Eventually the mom dies and her mom’s father, her grandpa takes her in. He happens to be a wealthy gambler. Through his teaching and her raw talent the girl becomes a legendary gambler. She’s considered a villain because in one gambling session, she can take someone’s entire fortune away. This happens at night. During the day, she is a university student at a prestigious private school. Nobody knows about her gambling. The girls don’t like her because they’re envious of her looks. Some of the males flirt and harass her, but every time she beats them up without mercy. She is standoffish. The love interest comes in who’s a guy who figured out her identity and goes to her school. If anyone wants to come up with more, be my guest. I want more information on the love interest. :,)

For those who understand that this song is basically saying you might think you’re a hero but are actually a Villain to another. I feel like this a good representation on how people in war see themselves. For example, how the US sees themselves as good and other countries as bad. But to other countries, we are the bad ones and they are good. Etc. in the end, we are all villains, it’s an endless cycle.

"So many shades of grey. how can you still not know?" really gives away the fact, that you cannot view the world as only "Black and white" since there would be still shades of grey in between them to make your judgment on people more difficult to understand and see. Someone might be black at first to you, but then they would slowly turn into a shade of grey to see a change or when you now understand them more in a way. yourself can be white but then turn into a shade of grey making you seem like you were not always good.

A wonderful thing is that, knowing the themes of this song, it could fit into several D&D alignments. Chaotic Good, Chaotic Neutral, True Neutral, and Lawful Evil are all wonderful fits, but honestly anywhere besides plain Lawful Good or extreme Chaotic Good, the actual black and white in the many grays, works.

I think it's about words you're saying, not necessarily hatred. You can hurt other with your words both unintentionally and intentionally. So maybe something you're saying is killing someone, maybe something someone else is saying to you is killing you

Honestly, I have to say that this MV is aesthetic. I love the video and its concept. I love how this song combine with a bit jazz in it, which makes the song kinda stand out in a bunch of sound-liked songs. I don't insult any singers, I just hope that there would be some diversity in kpop songs.
Stella Jang are really talented. She reminds me of BiBi as their types of music are a bit different compared to everyone. Their lyrics are dope, and there are always some hidden meaning behind it. It just wonder why they are not famous.( Well, BiBi is kinda famous, I think.)
