@@HolyHumanistNuriyah like many Religions,it's a load of Superstitious nonsense, created by certain scholars or so called ' Wise men' hundreds ( or thousands) of yrs ago to assist leaders ( like the Greeks,Egyptian Pharoahs and Roman's to name but a few!) to maintain order over mostly ignorant and illiterate people!
Now I'm pretty much agnostic,so I don't discount the idea of a ' Higher Power' for the Universe and Metaphysics is a interesting study, but the rest of these man made Religions,I don't buy!
But I respect anyone's right to believe & worship whatever they please in Peaceful manner, but Islam is not about ' Peace' it's primarily about Submission and conquest!..

@@HolyHumanist why are you women allowing your subjective experience with some modern Islamic country or state or govt, disillusion you from the truth of Islam? That means you never had faith if you allow anything worldly or material to move you away from Allah! Women's rights. You do know Islam was the first religion to give women to rights. Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia or Iran, or any modern Islamic country, are not even practicing Sunnah or Shariah correctly. Not a single Islamic country is. Example: Interest and usury is haraam in Islam and every Muslim majority country or Islamic state's banking system depends on interest/usury like the west.

    • @isasooner5
      @isasooner5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@HolyHumanistYou're trying to fit the Qu'ran and Islsm into a liberal, secular paradigm which is subjective by their very nature and can never be proven to be true. Allah says; if you read the Qu'ran in a superfical way and shallow way, you will find contradiction and flaw. But of you read, study and contemplate and reflect on the Qu'ran, you will find no flaw nor contradiction. Think about this. The Qu'ran is the only book in human history, the only piece of literature in human history, that gives the reader a falsification test. It tells you do this, this, and this to disprove the Qu'ran. It says bring another verse, chapter or book like it, if the Qu'ran is false. No other or scripture or literature does this.
I actually wonder actually how much you've studied, contemplated and reflected on the Qu'ran and the life/biography of Muhammad. Because Everything you're saying about Islam, is objectively false. You may be right about how horrid certain Islamic states or countries are toward women, but that has nothing to do with the Islamic theology and religion. Are you aware that Islam has the richest tradition of female scholars in human history! The world's first university was founded by a Muslim woman. All the female scholarship In Islam over the millennia and you just ignore all of that! Judaism, nor Christianity, nor Buddhism nor Hinduism, has anything close to this tradition among women. In many cases, quite the opposite.

    • @isasooner5
      @isasooner5 ปีที่แล้ว

@@HolyHumanist Also, the English translation of the Qu'ran, is not the Qu'ran. The Arabic of the Qu'ran is a completely different genre of Arabic, than even the normal Arabic. It's a completely different syntactical structure, style, with a unique grammatical construct, and the Pagan Arabs at the time of the prophet, were completely baffled by when Muhammad began to recite Qu'ran to them. They couldn't make sense of it, and they were masters of the Arabic language, literature and poetry. So much so the Arabs called the speech of the Qu'ran magic, because the Qu'ran brought new Arabic words and new meanings of words, the previous Arabs had never heard of or heard spoken in that way, but knew what they meant when they heard it. How do you explain this phenomena? Prophet Muhammad was completely unlettered and illiterate. So when he started reciting the first three words of Surah Al Baqarah, Alif! laam! meem! These are letters. How and where did prophet Muhammad learn these letters from? You can speak a language perfectly and not have a clue about the alphabet or letters of a language. The only time you need to know letters is when you are reading or writing, which Muhammad could not do, and it was known among everyone during his time he could not read or write. The Jewish rabbi scholars and Christian priest scholars, used to make fun of Muhammad for being unlettered and illiterate. They would question why people where going to Muhammad an illiterate man, about knowledge of the Hebrew Torah and Christian bible, because the Qu'ran talks about both of them extensively. So how and where did he learn the Qu'ran to be reciting all the time and how did he know Arabic letters in the alphabet if he couldn't read or write?. The Arab Jewish rabbis and Christian priests in Medina, wondered this very thing. They were baffled at how the prophet Muhammad could be reciting this unheard of style of Arabic, let alone reciting letters of the Arabic alphabet, without knowing how to read or write. They all wondered, who taught him this? Who is his teacher? In fact his teacher was Allah.

Agreed. I studied Islam for several years, with some sympathy, before gritting my teeth and tackling the Koran itself. About a third is okay, but quite dull. A third is badly plagiarized stories from The Bible, and it isn’t even in the right order. About a third is every bit as horrendous as it’s rumored to be.

There's a very small percentage of people who are genuinely searching for the truth where, if they were provided with the evidence contrary to their beliefs, they would go on the side of the evidence..." This is so very true. What I believe to be true also is that the majority of people believe themselves to be in that minority.
How do we ensure we ourselves are in that minority? How do we increase the size of that minority? And long term, how do we get as many people as possible to be in the category of always following the evidence based on critical reasoning and logical process (ideally to the point of it being the modus operandi of not just the majority, but the vast majority)?

Shouldn't your recitation of facts serve as all the words needed to make your point? And calling her a deceiver is not a fact, as it would require you to know her motives. Additionally, Nuriyah's main audience is intended to be Muslim or ex Muslim - people who are familiar and who should have read their holy book thoroughly. On top of that, I have heard her multiple times speak on how people should read the Quran so they can see for themselves. Your arguments here are only half formed sir. If all religions are taught in the same way and critical thinking and skepticism is encouraged, it will allow people to more easily see faults and problematic issues in their own texts and hopefully a much easier route out/easier dismissal of falsities. @@JesusisaMuslim Why don’t you show me these instead?
      Surah 2:282
O you who have believed, when you contract (i.e. when you have or contract a debt) a debt one upon another for a stated term, then write it down. And let a writer write it down between you with justice, and let not any writer refuse to write it down, as Allah has taught him. So let him write and let the one upon whom is the truthful duty of payment (i.e. the debtor) dictate, and let him be pious to Allah his Lord and not depreciate anything therein. So, in case the one upon whom is the truthful duty is foolish, or weak, or unable to dictate himself, then let his patron dictate with justice. And call in to witness two witnesses of your men; yet, in case the two are not two men, then one man and two women from among the witnesses you are satisfied with, so that (in case) one of the two women should err, then either of the two should remind the other, and let the witnesses not refuse whenever they are called (upon). And be not too loath to write it down, (whether) it is small or great, with (Literally: to is term) its term. That is more equitable in the Providence of Allah, and more upright for testimony, and likelier that you will not be suspicious. Except (when) it is commerce present that you transact among yourselves, then it shall be no fault in you if you do not write it down. And take witnesses when you sell one to another, and let not either writer or witness be harmed, and in case you perform (that), then that is evident immorality in you. And be pious to Allah, and Allah teaches you; and Allah is Ever-Knowing of everything.
      Sahih al-Bukhari 2658
      Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
The Prophet ﷺ said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind."
      Deficiency?
You got to be kidding me?
      Right?
      Surah 2:223
Your women are a tillage for you; so come up to your tillage however you decide, and place forward (good deeds) for yourselves; and be pious to Allah, and know that you will be meeting Him. And give good tidings to the believers.
      Another version
Your wives are a place of cultivation [i.e., sowing of seed] for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers.
Sunan Abu Dawud 2158 and 2159
Muhammad bin Al Munkadir said I heard Jabir say The Jews used to say “When a man has intercourse with his wife through the vagina, but being on her back the child will have a squint, so the verse came down. Your wives are a tilth to you, so come to your tilth however you will.”
      Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas:
Ibn Umar misunderstood (the Qur'anic verse, "So come to your tilth however you will")--may Allah forgive him. The fact is that this clan of the Ansar, who were idolaters, lived in the company of the Jews who were the people of the Book. They (the Ansar) accepted their superiority over themselves in respect of knowledge, and they followed most of their actions. The people of the Book (i.e. the Jews) used to have intercourse with their women on one side alone (i.e. lying on their backs). This was the most concealing position for (the vagina of) the women. This clan of the Ansar adopted this practice from them. But this tribe of the Quraysh used to uncover their women completely, and seek pleasure with them from in front and behind and laying them on their backs.
When the muhajirun (the immigrants) came to Medina, a man married a woman of the Ansar. He began to do the same kind of action with her, but she disliked it, and said to him: We were approached on one side (i.e. lying on the back); do it so, otherwise keep away from me. This matter of theirs spread widely, and it reached the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).
So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur'anic verse: "Your wives are a tilth to you, so come to your tilth however you will," i.e. from in front, from behind or lying on the back. But this verse meant the place of the delivery of the child, i.e. the vagina.
      Sunan Ibn Majah 1853
      It was narrated that:
Abdullah bin Abu Awfa said “When Muadh bin Jabal came from Sham, he prostrated to the Prophet who said: 'What is this, O Muadh?' He said: 'I went to Sham and saw them prostrating to their bishops and patricians and I wanted to do that for you.' The messenger of Allah said: 'Do not do that. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! No woman can fulfill her duty towards Allah until she fulfills her duty towards her husband. If he asks her (for intimacy) even if she is on her camel saddle, she should not refuse.' ”
      Jami At Tirmidhi 1160
Talq bin Ali narrated that The Messenger of Allah said:
“When a man calls his wife to fulfill his need, then let her come, even if she is at the oven.”
      Surah 4:34
Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom you fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them.
      Sahih Al Bukhara 5825
      Narrated `Ikrima:
Rifa`a divorced his wife whereupon `AbdurRahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi married her. `Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her (Aisha) of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating). It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came, `Aisha said, "I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!" When `AbdurRahman heard that his wife had gone to the Prophet, he came with his two sons from another wife. She said, "By Allah! I have done no wrong to him but he is impotent and is as useless to me as this," holding and showing the fringe of her garment, `Abdur-Rahman said, "By Allah, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! She has told a lie! I am very strong and can satisfy her but she is disobedient and wants to go back to Rifa`a." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, to her, "If that is your intention, then know that it is unlawful for you to remarry Rifa`a unless `Abdur-Rahman has had sexual intercourse with you." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) saw two boys with `Abdur- Rahman and asked (him), "Are these your sons?" On that `AbdurRahman said, "Yes." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You claim what you claim (i.e.. that he is impotent)? But by Allah, these boys resemble him as a crow resembles a crow,"

Bible: Women don't inherit if the father dies (Numbers 27:8). Bible says girls should be burned if they commit adultery. (Leviticus 21:9).

Mohammed is supposed to have lived from 570 to 632 A.D. The first mention of his home city Mecca in the Saudi Peninsula in any literature begins in 741 A.D. Mecca does not appear on any map until approx. 900 A.D., even though all the other surrounding ancient towns and cities do appear on the old maps. The very oldest ruins in Mecca are from an Ottoman fort, the earliest I've seen that fort dated is to 1299 A.D. The Prayer Walls of all the earliest mosques for the 1st 100 years that Islam is supposed to have existed are all facing in the direction of Petra, Jordan or possibly Jerusalem. The earliest coins minted in what was supposed to be the Islamic empire have images of Caliphs holding crucifixes in the western half, Zoroastrian fire alters in the east. There are also plenty of examples of Mohammed as well as animals and people depicted in Islamic art and statuary from the beginning of Islam right up to the present era.

I remember years ago a very progressive Muslim man, said only radical change could save, Islam and that the only way to "save Islam from itself, was to largely contextualise the Quran. So you completely ignore, all the extreme things that don't make sense in the modern age". Or you don't take them literally. So the bad things in the Quran become irrelevent. . That way you end up with a broad and universal message of a commitment to God and doing good things and being a good person. A bit like some progressive Christians are these days. He argued that in the long term Islam would struggle to hold on to its future generations, if it did not manage to change.
The Truth is Christians and Jews have done this quite a lot to their scriptures over the centuries and this has allowed these religions to evolve greatly over time.
It is also true that Jewish and Christian scripture are easier to understand in this way because their complexity was always taken into account (because the Bible is not one book, but a collection of many books, written over a period of over 1000 years, by many different authors, written in different styles with different goals, ) and that, Jewish and Christian scriptures were always understood to be "inspired by God" rather than the literal word of God which is what Muslims have always assumed the Quran to be.
So it seems to me that Christians and Jews have more leeway in how they understand and interpret their holy books. But one can hope that something like this is possible for Islam. There are definitely some Muslims, that want to take Islam In this direction so hopefully they will continue to grow in number. And then one day we may get a kinder gentler Islam just like we eventually did with Christianity and Judaism.

Your heart is so pure and clear. You are doing this to help others. I have so much respect for you🙏I have been studying Islam since about 2017 because I love to study people in general. When you learn about a persons food, culture music, language and faith - it’s so easy to connect with others. I’m a traveler and I was living in Saudi for 2 years and that is why I studied it. I always asked questions or listened but I held off on giving my own thoughts or opinions. As I was a guest in the country. I still study because it surprises how many people from the west are adopting it. It’s seems these people are having to deeply dig to find a sense of meaning or truth and they have been sold into this cult type faith. Please keep up with your work and I hope you’re able to earn a living and not have that hindered by extreme people who can’t handle someone leaving. 🙏

When I was 12-13 I just read the first chapter translated (alone in my room), I was shocked the Quran casually mentionning and talking about slaves and slavery, I thought salvery and sex slavery was banned in islam.
As young teens we didn't even properly learn the human reproduction in biology yet and these mullahs already talk about marriages lol
My parents and islamic teachers only showed me the beautiful face of islam, to not frighten young childs, the brainwashing process with harsh verses starts when you pass 15+ years. Even then most of mullahs dont want you to read translations till you're not "prepared" to, mentally, because once the violence is normalized through brainwashing and hate speech, you re not stunned when you read it in the book, and you're convinced that is justified.

Islam is so unfair with orphan childs, there's no concept of adoption or foster parents.
If you don't know your biological father, you have no respect, no status or recognition in this world, and your "legal guardians" cannot name the kid with their last name, the child must also do pardah with the mom and other kids because they're not considered as real brothers and sisters.
It all started with Muhammad when he wanted to marry his own daughter-in-law Zaynab, wife of his adopted son Zayd. And Allah made it legal by breaking the rules of rishta & affiliations with adopted children, not considering it incest.
Well I'm still Muslim because of fear of hell and "IF it is real and truth" but I believe there is so many bullshit in this religion I'm forced to accept.
I don't want to be atheist because I'm a believer, but I just follow and practice what I want and what is logic and rational to me.

@@HolyHumanist and Muslims justify their sht "if you knew the high status and values of women in Islam, you'd wish to be a woman"
"There's an entire Surah dedicated to women in the Quran"
Well, a surah that only bash and tell how the female gender is inferior, with lower IQ, weak and needing permanent protection, and how Allah will sadistically punish them in hell, or angels will curse them all night if they refuse an intercourse.
And I like how Allah doesn't care about good charity people will send them in hell because they didn't read kalimah, but a bad Muslim and human being who sinned all his life, did injustice and killed people, will one day go to heaven just because he is by name Muslim.
In this world, with human laws, people pay for their crimes, not matter the gravity and degrees of it, or "he's not a thief anymore now he became good person" he will still face the sentence according to the circumstances.
But Allah will forgive easily, even monstrous crimes, if you did "51% of naikiyan" he will trash all the gunnah and send you to heaven. What about the victims who were just minding their business and didn't ask anything ???
That's why again, Allah is unfair when it comes to accountability, he will make excuses to pardon bad people, and that will also depend on his mood.
But he could be very angry and send you to hell fire if you date people or listen to musics 😂
Why is it haram? Because it's bad? Nah, just because Allah and Muhammad don't like it. 😂
So basically even Allah will judge based on his sentimental mind or emotions towards the person, why does the "Mighty God" have humans like behaviors ?

    Also i have to add.
You are a very pretty girl and it always warms the heart to see beauty and critical thinking together.
You talk about being aprehensive of joining a religion again.
This is the very reason why in Judaism we don't allow conversions unless the person has studied for years and has being rejected a number of times.
Like islam, you csnnot leave judaism.
You won't get killed if you do, but becoming, say christian, is simply ignored by us and unless specific will instructions for example you would be burried as a jew.
So becoming Jewish is a one way street.
We don't want someone to become Jewish not fully aware of this and down the road become resentful and turning against Yisrael and our holy Torah.
That is why we want the potential convert to be fully aware of what is Judaism and be 100% sure that this is truly the path he (or she) has chosen no matter what.
That is the reason why conversion to Judaism is such a long and frustrating process.
Because we want the person to be certain it's truly the path they want because there is no turning back.
Greetings from Jerusalem, the Jewish capital of the Jewish state of Yisrael.

Why does Bible degrade women? For example: A woman should learn in quietness and full submission (Timothy 2-11). If they have any questions, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church (Cor1-14-34).
Bible: Women don't inherit if the father dies (Numbers 27:8). Bible says girls should be burned if they commit adultery. (Leviticus 21:9).
Women are not allowed to divorce in Christianity (Luke 16:18)
BIBLE: Put to death women and children in the Bible if they don’t believe Christianity (Ezekiel 23:46-47). Jesus said I didn’t come to bring peace but a sword Matthew 10:34.

First of all, the woman is not a Jew, she is a Canaanite. He’s literally not calling her a dog 😂. What are you talking about??? It’s like y’all don’t read.
26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
27 “First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
28 “Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
29 Then he told her, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.”
He specifically says he was sent for the Jews… but she persists, and he ultimately praises the Canaanite woman’s faith.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
