I love the new sweet and spicy honey lays chips. It’s one of my favorite flavors lays has come out with in a very long time since their fiery habanero flavor in my opinion. The flavor reminds me of honey bbq Cheetos puffs that came and went a long long time ago.
I’m glad you like them 😃
Maybe general tso’s is a better description for the sweet & spicy honey bag!
I think so 😃
Just finished that bag of s&s honey a few days ago and I remember thinking they tasted mostly of soy sauce, so it's funny you mentioned stir fry, but I got like..zero heat from them. Some bites almost came off as floral/rosy. Always love seeing how we all taste things differently!
I’m glad you got the soy sauce too!
I like the salt and vinegar popples that lays makes more than the kettle chips because the texture is so nice the flavor is similar I think
I love salt and vinegar chips. Have actually gotten a burn around my lips in college after a particularly “fun” night out followed by a bag of salt and vinegar chips 😂. I really like the extra vinegary ones too
😄😄
The sweet and spicy honey ones are so weird, I totally agree with that stir fry / soy sauce comparison. I think there's even a little bit of a wine sauce flavor, like chicken marsala. I wish they just made them actually hot honey flavored! I really liked the honey butter ones so imagine them with a little bit of heat...
I love salt & vinegar chips. I eat this brand in kettle style and I eat Tom’s salt and vinegar. Tom’s salt and vinegar is mostly in gas stations and rarely in grocery stores so I eat more of the other type since it’s easier to find so it may be my favorite now because I rarely go to different gas stations until I find it. Although I still occasionally do that when I want that really tart vinegar taste because I agree Lay’s Kettle Cooked Sea Salt and Vinegar is a more mellow vinegar and I really enjoy the crunchy texture of these although at times I want want brittle easy bite chip like Tom’s Salt and Vinegar chips. Have you had Tom’s Salt and Vinegar? If not maybe you can review it with other types of salt and vinegar chips ? I’m curious if you would like them best out of all salt & vinegar chips. That way Tom’s can be introduced to more people because I think it would be a lot of people’s favorite.
We have only reviewed Tom’s Dill Pickle & Mesquite BBQ. Unfortunately we don’t see a lot from that brand in our area.
@@TamiDunn if you ever see Tom’s Salt and Vinegar you should grab it. I’m curious how it compares to the malt vinegar chips you say you love. I’m not sure I’ve had chips with malt vinegar flavor do they say it on the bag? Also would you recommend any salt and vinegar chips that have malt vinegar; I mean a specific brand I might be able to find and try?
I don’t see it as often in the store, but I love the malt vinegar chips more than the regular salt and vinegar chips.
I believe i would try Salt and Vinegar ones for sure!!
I can't wait for your review for the Lay's IHop chips!!
Coming soon!
@@TamiDunn Awesome!!😃😃
My favorite Lays are the Chili Limon.
these looks delicious love salt and vinegar ☺️
I really miss the lays taco chips. Shocked they didn’t stick around longer!
Tami have you tried the Aldi brand Clancys hot barbecue chips? I love them so much. I’m usually picky and like my name brand chips but these are so good. I’m sure they won’t have them long though.😔 I haven’t tried their salt and vinegar yet that one is next.
We’ve had about three different barbecue chips from Clancy’s, but not the hot version.
Another Great Review!! I enjoyed the IHOP Lays I can't wait till you review those. Have a great week!!
Thank you!!
Funny to see the same expression on your faces. just at different times. Tami... I always like you hair up. It fits your cute personality.
Thank you so much!
I’m excited to try the spicy 🌶 chips. I’m not a salt and vinegar person but my husband is and he would enjoy them. Great review!
I hope you enjoy them!
Chips have stayed the same price because the amount you get in a bag (by weight) has decreased. Same effect.
I wish Lay's still made the sweet & spicy buffalo wing chips😢
tried them today. Immediately was like what the heck is this because I know what honey tastes like and it's not this! The stir fry/general tso's description is more like it than honey. After looking at the ingredients list and seeing: tomato, cheddar, cream, sour cream, butter, stevia, monteray jack and swiss along with carob powder (which is sort of sweet and chocolatey taste) it makes me wonder WTH were they thinking giving it such a description as "spicy honey" LOL. Such a strange blend of ingredients.
I agree!
The spicy ones sound like they’re way too hot for me. Salt and vinegar isn’t my go to flavour so I think I’d pass on both. Thanks for the review.
Fair enough! 😃😃
$2.50 at Walmart is a great deal! The Sweet & Spicy Honey Lay’s chips are $5-$6 at Giant Eagle Market District. We had to put them back because that is ridiculously expensive for a bag of chips. Plus, we thought we should wait for your review before buying it.
I hope your Walmart has them at a good price!
Unfortunately, at least near me, Giant Eagle and Market District’s prices are typically awful and not competitive at all with Walmart. I guess they make do because plenty of people would rather just get everything at one convenient store… but I wish they felt they had to make their prices more competitive
The spicy ones actually sound good to me, but regular Lay's have become too greasy to me... I wouldn't be able to eat a whole big bag of them.
And I can't share them with anyone in the house since I'm the only one who likes heat!
Those lays definitely weren't spicy to me. Tasted kinda lime-y... Not a fan. I do love salt and vinegar though
I wouldn’t buy them again either.
I would be avoiding the spicy ones at all cost lol and hogging the kettle chips!
I understand!
Kevin’s face spoke volumes and basically told me it was a pass for me 😂 I’m not a big Sea Salt & Vinegar gal, however it’s my pick as well. Thanks for a great review.
You are welcome 🤗
Thank you for a terrific review but I’ll have to pass. I bet people will love the sweet n spicy and salt n vinegar are a popular flavored chip.
Have a beautiful day.
I hope it’s a sunny day for you ☀️
My good friends food texter
