Michelle does the most basic stunts, and as soon as there's some semblance of jeopardy, she calls in her stunt double. If Michelle was a man, Jackie would punched her in the face by now.
@@kh7688 Jackie has never done all his own stunts. It's been reported and proven that doubles and composite takes have been used throughout his entire career.
He does THE VAST MAJORITY of his own stunts, which is still incredibly impressive.

That jump was wired. There are takes where they practiced timing everything and she's floating in the air on the bike. Still pretty crazy stuff with a real train tho. edit: even Jackie was under pressure to do something crazier to top her stunts in Super Cop
The train is super slow and it move back and forth for about 30 meters. I watched how it was done in my teen cause they were shooting it in my hometown. She and the bike was wired. But still..need guts to do it though..
That honesty is so damn refreshing. She tells it like it is. Also a testament to the flaws our friends can have. Despite having beliefs that can even teeter on degrees of unethical ideologies, she still says they're friends. A good example of how you should be honest, but doesn't mean you have to make some kind of villain out of a person.

Yes, Hong Kong action movie industry is very tough. Due to tight schedule and money spent, often they don't have time to practice and choreograph the fights, they were built on the set and filmed as they go trying stuff out. Unlike Western films where You have like half a year to plan and get everything right, films in Hong Kong back in the 80s 90s usually need to finish filming within 1~2 months. Some even less time if low budget films.

@OMundodeDavidson Doesn't matter Men or Women, it was difficult to do filming in HK. Tight schedule, sometimes no exact script, choreography done on the set, extreme waiting times and long shooting shifts. It was really TOUGHER than Hollywood.

Michelle and Jackie have both been practicing martial arts for decades, when I was little all my parents did was watch chapter upon chapters of Chinese movies after work, this is how I ended up familiar with all the Asian stars before they hit the western stages. Never knew this but most of the Chinese news my parents watched were propagated Chinese news, can't seem to get them off of it. lol they are like Zombies when it comes to following the news.

I love Michelle Yeoh. She’s so elegant & talented! I wouldn’t have said this in front of a camera though. I think it’s totally okay to rip your friends a new one (if it’s necessary) but not out in public.
I think she knows who she can say this about and who she can't, like she has a good grip on what's acceptable when it comes to her friendship with Jackie. Jackie Chan can be quite blunt, too. I'm also sure she has relationships with other individuals and famous people who have shown similar mindsets and doesn't speak to the public about it. Also, considering the timeline this took place, far before cancel culture and the metoo movement, she knew it wouldn't hurt his name and career.
