Item list:
- ogre bellows, bucket of water, bear fur, 2 silk
- toad crunchies (premade from the shop in grand tree is fine)
- soft leather, 1 feather, magic logs, approx. 100 gp
- a weapon to kill a cb11 with level 20 stats, including prayer and hp
- 8 empty inventory slots
- weight reducing armor only, 3 stamina potions
Teleports: 1 to Arandar gate, 3 to ardy, 1 to Fally, 1 to CW
if you don’t already have a second barrel of naphta during the regicide quest:
- 1 Anti poison for isafdar traps and approx 10 coal
- 1 tele to a bank and then to Rimmington. (Duel ring + house)

For the people who are going to do this quest after the song of the elves update. You will not complete your quest by talking to the "head mourner" (has a different name now) but you will need to teleport with your Teleport crystal to Lletya and talk to Arianwyn to complete your quest. Gl guys :)

Read This before you start the quest!!!!!
0:00 - 2:00 What items you need
2:00 - 2:00 What you need for the barrel of Naphta
If you don't have the barrel of Naphta, bring 2 pieces of food with you just to be sure
If you have the barrel of Naphta you can skip 3:40 - 5:48
7:11 - 8:21 How to charge your "teleport crystal" (you can skip this)
7:11 just use a slayer ring to teleport to the stronghold slayer cave and continue at 9:20
13:35 to repair your trousers just keep pressing the space bar and they will be fixed
17:07 the "Head Mourner" is replaced by "Essyllt"
19:06 the fixed device will be in your inventory skip to 19:46
32:45 If you have your barrel of Naphta and you made it into a "toxic naphtha" skip to 34:28
I just used a home teleport and used the range in the kitchen of Lumbridge
38:51 You will not complete this quest, at this piont , use your Teleport crystal to go to Lletya, head east to the quest sign and talk to Arianwyn to complete the quest.

39:00 DO NOT DROP the MOURNOR outfit!! Save it for part 2!!

This quest could use a remake. A lot of stuff has changed within the quest. Also maybe make it more clear where the people who already had the 2nd barrel of Naphtha need to go next. Finish it back in Lletya by speaking to Arianwyn too btw!
Additional hints:
Necklace of passage gets you to the lvl 11 mourner really quick.
Ogre bellows are found in Rantz' cave if you lost it.
You can relog or world hop to skip the one minute waits.

You can use the necklace of passage for a faster teleport to the arandar gate by teleporing to the outpost.
this man is the goat i wont take that from him but he really remade all the easy quests and left the old hard long ones on old outdated guides with missing teles that are in game now etc

WEAR A NECKLACE OF PASSAGE FOR 9:50. IT has a teleport directly to outpost making it quicker.

Response to the MM2 guide requesters: I'm now completing the elven quest line since it only required 1 level 60 skill (ranged).
Next I'll be completing the 2 lunar quests because they require 2 level 60 stats (mining/crafting) and then swan song requiring 3 (fishing/cooking/magic).
FTp2 and devious minds somewhere in the mix and then second to last: Grim tales requiring 1 level 70 skill (wc).
Lastly: MM2 which requires 2 level 70 skills (crafting/slayer) but 4 if including agility and thieving to reduce failing.
Will you be doing mournings end pt 2 soon? I want to do the quest to craft death runes but am waiting for your guide :)

hey im stuck, i just teleported to ardougne with my red toads and such but there are 0 sheep, compared to how u have a ton of sheep :(

Thank you so much for your videos, I love how you throw in little good things to know like how to get more teleportations in the crystal. I refuse to watch other quests guides with an exception of snugglequest because you go so in depth in not only the quests but the items obtained in the quests.
Fast way to get to the Arandar gate. Use a NECKLACE OF PASSAGE, and then Teleport to OUTPOST. Just run a little west!

if you want to go faster to the combat 11 monster, you can simply use the necklace of passage and teleport yourself to the outpost

Tip for Ultimate Ironmen: You are able to store the full Mourner outfit in your POH Armor Case. DO NOT DROP IT.

Hey all you 2019 post prif nerds, you need to go back to lleyta after the end of talking to head mourner talk to the elf nerd in the big house all the way east to finish quest
The ending isn't the ending anymore.... You have to return to "Arianwyn" now in "Lletya"
yep a quick google fixd it but they did change alot over time
Some other things I have noticed have chagned, other than the quest ending:
- You don’t have to wait a minute to get the items that would usually take this long to get.
- Some characters have changed appearence, dialogue or are completely different, but not enough so that you can’t figure out what to do.
23:00 "and now all the sheep in the neighborhood have been recolored." xD
9:00 You can now use the new silver jewelry 'Necklace of Passage' to teleport to the Outpost (Jokkul's hut east of Arandar Pass).
"I need two pieces of silk and some bear fur"
"Ok, I have those right here"

If you are completing the quest in 2020, you can use a necklace of passage to tele right to the outpost when going to kill the mourner for his outfit.

A fast way to get to west ardoungne is by pulling the Edgeville lever and then pulling the wilderness lever. Takes you right next to the gate.

On your way to kill the mourner, you can now use a "Necklace of Passage" (buy on the GE) to get much closer to the back gate by using the Outpost teleport option.
should of put a note on regicide quest to make 2 barrels to save time on this quest had 2 but u said to drop it ... -.-

For those doing the quest now, instead of teleporting to the gnome stronghold and running south just use a necklace of passage and teleport to the outpost

I have reached 200 quest points because your guides! And I received a master clue, where I have done 7 steps now and the last one is something which requires the completion of Mournings End Part 2. So I had to do Regicide, Roving Elves and Both of ME's. This is why I love and hate Runescape. Wish me luck for the clue...

if anyone is watching this in 2020 jagex has now updated it to where clan wars is replaced with the Ferox Enclave. to restore your stats go to the Ferox Enclave and find the white portal that says free-for-all go through it and go back out and all of your stats are restored just dont go over the line and you're good

Slayer musiq's naphta steps wont work anymore @ 33:30 when you are making naphta because the fractional still is a terrible mechanic:

Right valve to the right, wait for pressure to be Green.
Left valve to the top (pressure will stay in Green forever)
Add 2 coal, heat will go up, Add 1 more coal every time the heat falls below Green. Wait.
You can wear a ring at any time in the house, no need to take it off

UPDATE: There's now a Necklace of Passage that you can use to teleport to the Outpost, which is next to the Arandar gate.

Make sure you watch the naptha process first!!! You will lose your barrel of tar if you fail to do it properly!

If you used your barrel to operate and used all of your coal and you failed to make the naphta,you can close the interface,go get more coal and get back without making another barrel of coal
