Hi Chris, Another great vlog sir. I retired and relocated to Isabela province from the UK one year ago. My Filipina wife and I built our new home on the 1000 sq m lot we had. I was lucky enough to retire at age 55 (I was a director for Pirelli Tyres) after working for more than 30 years. I agree with you in that every day feels like Christmas Day. I know I'm very lucky. Someday I even have to pinch myself. At the same time we built the house, we also bought a 3 hectare farm to grow rice. It's so rewarding and satisfying seeing your house built and knowing we are feeding the Philippines 🇵🇭 Cheers Simon
Hey Chris, admittedly, when your video started and the lights were low / you had your morning voice / you were looking right into my eyes, I felt a mix of tingles and discomfort all at the same time 😜 Then, the ride got epic. Your hootin' and hollerin' is infectious, so you definitely know how to have a good time by yourself, even in the dark, haha. I think you will be an incredible tour guide - yup, that is my shameless plug and pandering to get hired as your unpaid assistant. Keep em coming!
What a great video!!! Holy karabaw... So many positive vibes so early in the morning made my day before it had begun. Thanks for this shower of positive thoughts and attitude. It arrived here in Batangas in full force (another "typhoon" so to speak) 🤜🤣🤛
4:30 a.m. is my Normal starting time. No alarm needed. I am excited to be celebrating my 10th year as a Full time resident in the Philippines and 23rd year of visiting the Philippines.
I know the feeling of retirement, being in the Philippines and making the most of each day Chris I'm heading out to Panglao this morning to go fishing for the first time in the Phils, can't wait!!! To anyone thinking of visiting Cebu, make the most of the local transport options like Jeepneys and motorbike transport companies like Move Both are awesome Great footage mate, enjoying your adventure, more power to you Cheers n
"welcome to retirement" Chris, I had a small bike in my teens, but haven't ridden a moto in 45 years. I'm 63, in good health and fit (e.g., hiking, working out, etc.). Is there any practical reason I should not plan to get a bike there, like a Honda ADV160 type of thing? I have no issue with buying a small 4 x 4 SUV (used around $35K USD). But I want to travel the islands and a bike seems a good way to go. Great shots: beautiful ride!
The mountains of Negros Island has a great maximum potential for tourism ,but it is infested with NPA rebels and politicians killing each other for power.. And there are several massacre killings due to land disputes on farm lands.
Yeah. I had to dig a little bit after reading your comment and seeing some things that bring up some concerns. From what I get though none of problems that have been reported involve foreigners
@@CarefreeChris They don't target foreigners though, but it sure does affect the tourism industry in Negros. A lot of this rebels are also are allied or use as goons by local politicians. A seating governor of NegOr was killed by a rival politician just a couple of years ago.
