Good example of experimental creative progressive designing ... using the inherent 'dynamic' modelling abilities as new opportunities suggest themselves...using the model as the actual dynamic sketching tool. Impressive to watch. Also like and appreciate the 'work' in getting smooth /joined patches - good to see the shortcomings / solutions and fails...the honesty of KS comments has to be admired.
Hello!, amazing tutorial do you have a version with audio or captions. I’d love to do exactly what you are doing but I cannot tell at all what tools you are using 😢. So fast
Hi @Kuechmeister. Congrats for the excellent work. I think Plasticity will create cleaner surfaces/sheets if you always use curves with the same number of cvs on the same directions. It creates that huge number of cvs because it has to interpolate between curves with different number of cvs.
@@KuechmeisterI'm having similar issues myself with the creation of a helmet shell, where I'm getting continuity issues when I join sheets using the join command. I might have to join them together using lofts
The fillet tool does not seem to be chordal.....Hope it has that option. These fillets are really bad. Anyway this software might be cool for fast ideation, sure ;) Thanx. I didn t know it, I m a hardcore nurbs guy, lol ;)
I used my Moi3d knowhow to get fast in Plasticity, so I think both are good, Plasticity and Moi3d are mini tools, so you don't need long time to learn it's not like full 3d tool like maya, cinema or Blender.
let me get it straight, you only model in cad and render in c4d? What's your opinion on modeling in polygon software? Is it worth trouble or it's much easier do the model you need and retopologize?
@4:08 can't fill this thing (i can, but it looks awful)Ii'm working on this thing like a surgeon and tried so much.. is it possible that the beta version you're using got an upgrade for patching or something?
Everytime it shows "D" it means "shift D" the key record tool I use, often don't record the "shift". Shift D is duplicate. The curve change is rebuild spline.

I might actually consider getting this since I can't afford Alias. Really nice video with good workflow

Yes but in Plasticity can't get a connection between patches, and there not CVs Editing possiblty. Your idear sounds more like a alias way.

Dude… you re awesome!!!
Awesome!
So plasticity can create 4 sided patches with g2 continuity? by the way, you absolutely rock.. putting out so much high value content
Great video...
Can you make a game joystick or controller tutorial??
Your video is amazing.
ex) MIIO STUIO Controller, NINTENDO PRO CONTROLLER

Should I learn Moi3D or Plasticity? Coming from a Blender Background, no Cad Experience

Any plan on making a complete tutorial from 0 to hero on modeling cars in Plasticity?
This would be much work.

Since 2009 (Moi3d) I model hardsurface thinks only in CAD, and now in Plasticity more and more.
@@Kuechmeister and if you need to apply textures, do you do retopology and unwrap?

Yes, it's the beta v1.1.18
sorry what command you are using when you cut the sheet you press D and it changes to curve?

How could u PATCH with 4 curves and 1 sheet's edge? 10:37
Beta v1.1.20
@@Kuechmeister How to download it?
I really love your videos! You could make money off these if you had narration and went a little slower.
Should consider using those text to voice AI, I've heard a few that sound quite good.
Try watching 0.25 speed..
