Its wonderful to see good people who genuinely wish to help others. We need this attitude everywhere. Big thank you and congratulations.
I am so happy I watched this video. I am a new shop and am trying to learn the ins and outs of this biz. I especially loved the unpopular opinions as I'm noticing that there are things that I think I should be doing, but it's all about what is most authentic to you. Appreciate this!
I really enjoyed this interview. As a greeting card designer with my cards in local stores, I learned a few things.
Just what I needed. Reminder to nail down the logistics side before launch. Thanks Becca and tx for the generous insights, Anita. Great questions!

Thank you so much for this video! I hope you do more like it to keep us updated & on top of our game. My one question (maybe I missed it in the video?) but for shipping/handling, I know Anita said she didn't build it into the cost of the card, but does she still charge the customer for S&H in addition to the cost of the card, or pay it herself?
Such a helpful and informative interview. Thank you
Thank you both

Great interview I'm doing research to help my sister out with her card business and this has been very informative. I'm going to share the link with her. Thanks.

Love from India 🇮🇳
So helpful ❤
I would like to see more of the printing and card stock info. My fiancé is a carpenter and I know wood has gone up exstensively, and when I heard her say paper prices going up I never put two and two together.
I like the giant watermelon slice on the shelf
That resonated with me when she said she'd put effort into Instagram then it made her unhappy. I felt that.
I am thinking about starting a handmade card business. My concern is knowing if my cards are worthy of selling cards. I used to sell to boutiques, travel agencies etc. And a summary to introduce myself
Loved this. Maybe a weird question but i've done art for years. I don't share it very often because its very personal to me. I want to use some of the ideas to start a line of cards. How do you keep others from using your artwork/copying your ideas?
THAT, my friend is the best question of all. I create cards for relatives and friends. Christmas, birthdays, get wells, and have ideas for t-shirts ,and so forth. the hard part is the idea, and I'd hate to inadvertently give away a good idea.
I have all of my father's original complex and wonderful humerous illustrations from Norcross Greeting Cards which has been out of business since 1981 and there is Noone who owns their rights except me now... Hal Greer was the top selling Studio card artist for the defunct Norcross.
How do I sell or monetize these original line art?
Thank you. I love Google!
No link to the company’s site and social? Weird.
I have a few questions, what kind of companies or manufacturers etc??…do I contact to have my greeting cards printed and cut to shape of my card designs and packaged? Question 2- which kind of companies of shops do I contact to see if they would be open to carry my greeting cards? I did think about hallmark but I think they do their own in house designs.
Do i need a biz license to sell handmade invitations??
Don't you need a barcode-type # attached to each design, before selling them in stores?
I’ve been printing my own cards and would like to have them printed for me instead. Wonder where Anita has hers printed?
If you were going to use a printer at home can you recommend one?
Check out my free supplies guide: www.thehappyevercrafter.com/supplies/ I list a couple different printers. :)
Does the store provide you a SKU?

Anita, what if I don't want to go into business, but just sell my greeting cards to a buyer who can make huge profits. From Billy Young
