Do you think the limited amount of wrapping packaging is due to these brands aiming to be more environmentally friendly?

If that’s the case I think it is a great change, I always find it a bit annoying that I have to take out all the packaging before getting to the bag itself, also it takes forever to wait for them to do the packaging in store.

I thought that might be the reason but about two weeks ago I bought a Chanel bag at Paris and they wrapped it up for me beautifully just like they always do. Maybe the sales assistant that packaged her bag wasn’t feeling it that day🤷🏻♀️
@@_saraa__ got shoes from the same store in the summer and it wasn't packaged any more extravagant than this bag :)

I was hoping this was the bag you had chosen! It's SO YOU! I love how it has a classic shape, yet it's so modern and versatile, and that you can wear in so many ways. It's my dream bag and although I'm not a huge black lover, I must say I think it's the color that suits it the best! It's a little bit too expensive but as you say, it's an investiment and it will last you for a lifetime. So, of course it has to be made of some quality material (hence the leather. I also don't love the idea but the alternatives are too expensive and not as durable).
And please please, don't feel like you need to justify the fact that you spent so much money on a bag... Most of us would do it too and if you can afford it, go for it! Work hard, play hard 🖤

I absolutely love that you weren’t apologetic about buying yourself the gorgeous Chanel bag! You’re so correct in saying how much of an investment piece it is-especially in the black leather. Any of us that have been with you for a few years know exactly how hard you work, and even though both yourself and Alex make your videos look like so much fun, I can only imagine how exhausting it must be at times. Also wanted to say that your lounge looks so good! You’ve matched everything to a T without making it look too ‘matchy-matchy’ , if you know what I mean 😆 Can’t wait to see your closet now-sooo jealous as it would be wonderful to have one but when I see the amount of space you’ll need to bring together all the years of collecting your clothing, I am happy enough with my large double wardrobe serves my needs 😊

I noticed it too! Have a look at the diamond quilting and see where the flap is situated
I honestly prefer the trendy over the classic flap because of the top handle so good choice in my opinion 👍

I do wish you would do something on buying second hand luxury which in fact I prefer sometimes when it comes to Chanel because I think their quality was so much better back in the day than it is now. Your drapes are absolutely lush and glorious! However, it’s a toss up between that room and your bedroom as to my favorite! Both give a feeling of luxury and cozy comfort... and basically that’s what I love most! Beautiful, luxurious textures and a feeling of not too precious, but still elegant and cozy!
LOVE your Chanel bag! 🖤 To me it’s perfection! Not too big, not too small and classically elegant for all time! Every well-dressed lady needs a LBB (little black bag) 🖤 as well as a LBD! 🖤 There is no need to disclaim or explain your love and appreciation for fine quality leather goods. If we all do our little bit and make steps to help sustain our planet, it will be much more effective than a few trying to be perfect and do every single possible thing. You are allowed to have beautiful things, especially that you’ve worked hard for and earned. You don’t ever need to feel guilty because you do so many other things to help sustain our planet.
It’s not your responsibility to do every single thing to make up for the millions that do nothing. The fact that you talk about sustainability and share that message with thousands of viewers all the time is a lot more effective and productive than most. Enjoy your beautiful and well deserved goodies, if it brings you joy! For those screaming on their soapbox that consumption in almost any form is bad, they might try to attract more into action with respectful, encouraging dialogue and ways to make small, positive changes, rather than brow beating and shaming with attempted guilt trips. I'm curious as to what your feelings are about the Dior glass packaging. I get the marketability concept of "we''re removing forty tons of plastic from these products" in order to sell more product to the environmentally inclined consumer. But really, if any brand from high street to high end is making a packaging switch with environmental reasons in mind, it would make far more sense to have a packaging go-back reuse program, because the carbon footprint of glass is not better. The impact that any product packaging has can be measured at various stages - cumulatively called a life-cycle- including raw material extraction, material transport, material processing into the packaging, packaging transport, and packaging end of life. When brands switch to glass, very often times they don't consider packaging end of life. Plastics have a disadvantage because the largest part of their carbon print comes from the raw material extraction and processing which is why we push so heavily on reducing consumption, reusing, and end-of-life recycling them. Depending on their chemical composition, plastics be recycled into pellets in order to be remade into another product. However, over time this reduces the ability of the plastic to be recycled. It doesn't go on indefinitely. You can continually recycle glass without sacrificing quality, but to process the material in the same deconstruct/reconstruct way takes much a lot of carbon units, and therefore the 'most efficient way' to manage end-of-life glass packaging is reusing/refilling it to minimize environmental impact. But brands often don't take that step with their consumers, and therefore the switch does not have the same purported "net good" as the brand advertised.

My husband & I went to England & Paris last year & saved over $2000.00. We live in Australia & the exchange rate is terrible. The bag is delightful.🖤 I am so glad you like it. Classic and beautiful. There is a tiny flaw that can be easily fixed. On the strap, the leather that has been woven through the chain is sticking out in one spot. It's the first thing I noticed. I think you can fix it by slowly working the leather down toward the base of the strap until it is balanced. You never need to make excuses for buying what you want to buy. hi Victoria just as i was watching your vlog i was wondering since you are becoming more eco friendly if purchasing reusable bamboo make up remover pads would be of interest to you as they are zero waste, evidently it is more work because you have to wash them but its no more different that using hand or bath towels what do you think?

I love the Chanel trendy as well, I bought it in black and in a Tiffany kind of Blue, for me it’s one of their most beautiful bags.
I also think it’s time you buy your first Hermès bag because they are so hard to get, I would start with a Birkin 25 or 30 and then a Kelly 25.
They are so stunning...how can you not love a Hermès bag and the fantastic craftsmanship!❤️🖤❤️

I love leather and have incorporated it into my wardrobe for good reason because leather is definitely more durable and its important to buy natural fiber items that last longer. I try to buy my leather items second hand because that is more sustainable. Vestiaire is a great place to get that Chanel bag :).

Love the bag :). I always think that If you like something so so much,,even if costs little bit more -buy it, i do that as well, because i know first its not that often and second because I know for myself I always end up regretting afterwards if i don't buy it.
