      @@iamtriston666 I don’t think so. Kids are gonna do it regardless, that’s a fact, so would you rather make them worry about getting in trouble and go somewhere else to do it, or let them do it happen which keeps the safe and builds trust

    My parents were like that, as long as I communicated, there wasn’t much I wasn’t allowed to do. And my Dad told me, if I wanted to drink, he’d rather I drank with them at home.

      Yup, my parents would laugh at me for getting in trouble. When adulthood came, it created a friendship relationship with my parents instead of authority which is pretty healthy.

      And Stanley Tucci is very sexy in this movie as well. It’s a common trope in most teen movies to desexualize the parents to keep the focus on the teens but I like that they didn’t do that in this movie. Emma Stone is gorgeous so it makes sense for her to have gorgeous parents.

    This movie is great and this scene really showed it perfectly. The family's warmth, shared wit and humor. We feel connected to them organically.
