- What an exciting day at the farm! We now have three sets of triplets at the farm, this morning Ginger had 2 boys named Little Duck and Dempsey and a doe named Doughnut! They weren’t quite ready to join the crazy party in the barn but maybe tomorrow! The kids led by Allagash were so silly and some of Claire’s two day old sweeties made it up on the hay bales today!

What joy! Such a chorus of goat voices, high pitches and lower pitches, all coming from the cutest little hopping and jumping furry babies! Their mothers are so patient and good. These videos are relaxing, healing, and amusing!

Yes they go to new homes about 8 weeks if we are not keeping them.

Does a goat's beard have any social significance? I know both males and females have them, but are they "revered" as elders or something? Animals have more culture than most of us give them credit for.
I used to shave them to make them look more like show goats, but since Covid I’ve been letting them grow and it’s amazing to see how fancy some of their beards are!
