**NOTIFICATION SQUAD** So now I've gone to the northern tip and completed my missions. Now I would like to ask you again, where you want me to go in Japan and that will become my next mission to complete!
Your next mission, is to go to the southern most tip of Japan, dragging chris along, eat something delicious, and then dance for US. Also I think your little driving navigator was on mute.
Ryotaro, the quality of the videos keep getting better! The humor and style continue to improve more and more to become uniquely yours. Keep it up, man! P.S If you need any help kidnapping Chris, just let me know
Literally yes Chris won the The Best Guest in the Trash Taste Awardw It'd literally be the best thing if Rissotoro wins it next time and trash talk Chris about it
This is by far the best video you have made so far, I can see how you have improved as time goes by. Keep up the good work! You just went to the most northern point so I think it’s only natural to go to the most southern point now.
This guy's a natural TH-camr. Laughed into my own noodles when he did the bit about being caught in the blizzard and then said 'only joking!'. Very likeable chap in his own right. Keep 'em coming, Rytardo.
This was my favorite video so far! I love when you're being silly and sarcastic it suits your channel well! I felt like I could taste the noodles when you were trying them! 😋 It's so amazing when you hear of restaurant owners picking each vegetables themselves! It shows how much they care. Do they serve the noodles warm or cold? I bet warm would be lovely in that weather. Hokkaido looks so amazing. I'd love to see people explore it more! I'm especially fascinated by the snowy regions (since I'm from Florida) Way to go Ryotaro!
It Would be really cool to see you and chris travel to Aogashima volcano island, especially as i know its on chris's to do list and it seems like a place so few tourists will ever get to visit.
Kudos to the cameraman/camerawoman, they did an excellent job filming this one. The shots of the soba being made were perfect as well as the framing for the interview. Also your ability to ask meaningful interview questions and elicit short but sweet responses is fantastic, great video overall. The quality of your stuff is going way up!
Your videos are getting better and better, not only the quality and content, but the fluidity of the way you speak, cut and direct it all. I particularly enjoyed that short interview it was very fluid. Keep up the great work Risotoro!
Etorofu's Shibetoro point is the most northern point. However, this is a terrific video with great commentary and the most respectful treatment of a master chief.
You showed us the Samurai training. I'm definitely going there with my friends when we make our trip to Japan. I heard there was a town that specializes in make knives of all kinds. Would you give us your insight of that town? One of my friends wants to buy Japanese wood working tools. Is there, as for the knives, a town or a place that specializes in that? I love to see how precise Japanese wood furniture is made and the tools they use.
Ryotoro, your short interview with the soba chef and owner of the restaurant was very nice. Even though I don't speak Japanese, I could tell from his enthusiasm that he is very proud of his restaurant. You did a good job of showcasing the food and the chef - congrats!
been to Wakkanai, Soya Misaki around 3 times, its not a destination that has many stuff to see, but nature and weather makes it incredibly memorable, its always windy, tide is high all the time, yet wilderness and tranqulity, arduous journey one has to take to get there makes it real good destination to visit.
Good video with lots of character from Ryotaro. He has an interesting personality to watch and this goes well with making up a little 'story arch', construing the videos events into a little adventure, in my opinion. Keep it up
First saw you on Chris's abroad in Japan videos and absolutely love your unique insights into your native country and your sense of humor. So happy I found your channel; keep up the the awesome content. Ryotaro for the win! Much love from Canada
Thank you Ryotaro for this video. This is exactly what i needed as i will be heading to wakkanai for 3 nights in december 23. i was thinking of what to do with 2 full days in wakkanai then this video came up!!
Fun + informative + good production quality = like + subscribe Even though he was silent, the cinematography was screaming the signature of Chris. And the end on that snow-covered beachy area, is that a reference to the original opening of James May's Japan documentary? Nicely done
Chris Broad: "I'm going to spend eight years not seeing Mt Fuji because it's covered in clouds". Ryotaro: "Hold my beer. I have an entire country to not see because it's covered by clouds".
Thanks Ryotaro. I'm really enjoying the videos. Hokkaido is the same size as Ireland (my home country). It's one of the places I really want to visit in Japan when I can visit with my family.
I think putting Eurobeat songs from Initial D could make your car go faster. But it could be too dangerous... I guess this might be one of many places for Ryotaro to invite Chris and then assassinate by giving him a lot of delicious food xD
Yay Ryotaro video! Your warmth and happiness radiates. I'm on a low carb diet currently and have been since Christmas, but now I'm craving some noodles😅
That trip to the North reminds me of driving through Wyoming and Twin Falls in one day... by myself. I had darude playing for like 2 hours on repeat. Good times.
Regarding the different suffixes for four prefecture names (Osaka-fu, Kyoto-fu, Tokyo-to and Hokkai-do when everyone else is xxx-ken), let's just say it's mostly to do with their history. Ultimately, these four prefectures are still ranked equally from the other prefectures in Japan. It would be like Massachusetts calling itself the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, but is officially still the same as the other US States. Ditto for the local authorities below prefectures, namely the shi (city), machi/cho (townships) and mura (village), who are named as such based on their population and size, but are ultimately all 2nd-tier municipalities.
Man, I only just recently found your channel...coming from Chris...your content is absolutely amazing! I laugh so freakin much XD keep up the great work! Quality content!! Btw I really wanna go try out that soba now!! :D Cheers from Brazil!
Thanks for your effort Ryotaro-san, been to Hokkaido once & it’s very beautiful!! but haven’t been anywhere as far north as you went 😁. Never been to Shikoku....hope you shows us the sights there one day....
Mate 🇦🇺 Having lived in Aus... 5h?... You know that's just round the block 🤣 With most of our major drives 12h and over, I'm surprise you even blinked! And giving in to the Japanese Dashboard Woman... Well - no comment ;) Loving your channel, and keep being you... 😀
I've always wanted to visit Hokkaido and maybe even live there for a year or so. I traveled to Japan on my own back in the start of 2014 and it was the most amazing trip I have ever taken. When I go back, Hokkaido is on my list!!
I know how you feel driving. I did a similar thing driving from Sapporo to Nemuro in order to see the sunrise from Nosappumisaki. The first sunrise on 2020. What high hopes I had for that year....
Ryotaro has evolved beyond the need of a Broad! he has become his complete own thing with his own journey! "an ancient mans trip through Japan" is my new favorite series!
Hahaha! Ryotaro, you are nuts but also very entertaining. And I really appreciate the interviews with locals! And good food tips. This restaurant sounds great; I hope the details are in the description!
"Go to the most northerly part of Japan" Risotoro: "why?" "No one else has done it" Risotoro: "So..." "There's also a michelin restaurant there." Risotoro: "I'm on it!" Also, Nodles 8:53
These landscapes remind me of my motherland (Kamchatka, Russia) sooo much. Sometimes it feels so weird when I think of how close some regions of Japan are to Russia and that we might have shared the same weather and nature... but not the infrastructure (all hail smooth japanese roads)
In the Netherlands snow just disappeared. Not that it snowed so much before, but man I miss those quiet snow walks. Even if it was just for a couple days. Snow is underrated these days. I like it because it has its own atmosphere, where everything is more quiet and soft and cold

So now I've gone to the northern tip and completed my missions. Now I would like to ask you again, where you want me to go in Japan and that will become my next mission to complete!
Your next mission is Uchiura Numazu, agent Risottoro
How about the most Southern part of Japan? :)
Next stop: the Southernmost point of Japan.
You have your mission, Agent Rissottoro. Good luck.
Go to the southern most point of Japan agent rissotoro
Your next mission, is to go to the southern most tip of Japan, dragging chris along, eat something delicious, and then dance for US.
Also I think your little driving navigator was on mute.
Make Ryotaro's Journey Across Japan with Chris as a sidekick. The journey will provide enough oppurtunities/accidents to take over his channel :D
"Journey through Japan" for differentiation's sake.
it will then be Ryotaro in Japan
And in contrast, it should be the most luxurious trip possible, just to show off to a certain peasant called Chris.
Would definitely watch that
Journey Across Japan: Two Men, Only One Survives
Love that you put “Clair De Lune” in this video. Much classier than Chris’ channel!
He only wears black sweat shirt, what do you expect?

I recommend inviting yourself to Chris Broads apartment to criticize his interior design.

So when we going to the most southern, western and eastern part of japan 🤔
Appear on Trash taste podcast and get more views than Chris
I would love that
no
Let's do that
Literally yes
Chris won the The Best Guest in the Trash Taste Awardw
It'd literally be the best thing if Rissotoro wins it next time and trash talk Chris about it
The quality of your videos are getting better and better 👍
Очень приятно, что за меня подняли невидимый стакан! Спасибо Рйотаро

@@mt8956 I've expressed my gratitude for noticing my existence
Watching this at 5 AM in California, keep up the great work Ryotaro 🥳
Ha! Now watching at 7am in California.
Man now I know why Chris always takes Ryotaro on road trips, The sound track.
Natsuki's gonna come down with a copyright claim for that "justice delicious". Also, when are you bringing him or Sharla to your channel?
Sharla already on this channel, the karaoke bar one
Wow, Ryotaro has a really good singing voice. I want a full version of him singing Sukiyaki by Kyu Sakamoto lol.
Years. YEARS I've been looking for that song's title. Thank you.
That really caught be off guard, he has fantastic voice!

I love how you do the interviews, you keep them very respectful and natural. I can't stand those awkward cringy interviews.
It Would be really cool to see you and chris travel to Aogashima volcano island, especially as i know its on chris's to do list and it seems like a place so few tourists will ever get to visit.
I punched the like button BEFORE the video started . . . Ryotaro madness . . . 🤣👍👍👍
I love how a lot of the traditional Japanese restaurant in Japan have a chef that is so passionate about their craft.
Kudos to the cameraman/camerawoman, they did an excellent job filming this one. The shots of the soba being made were perfect as well as the framing for the interview. Love the Toei-style intro animation so much! And I'd really love to try those amazing soba noodles now...
Etorofu's Shibetoro point is the most northern point. However, this is a terrific video with great commentary and the most respectful treatment of a master chief.
it warms my heart to see chefs who put in all their heart into making the food :')
You should got to the most southern part of Japan and wold like to see a video of historical places in japan like the ruins of castle Kanda
Excellent! Since I will never be allowed to travel anywhere, videos like yours are my only slice of sanity.

@@RyotarosJapan not worthy! Not worthy!
can remember doin the same headbang on same song in 2003 on Bali, in a Daihatsu Taruna 1.6 it was awesome
