  • Israelis and Palestinians - Let's talk straight
    This social project was inspired by Joyner Lucas' song "I'm Not Racist", as after watching it, Israeli educator/artist Uriya Rosenman embarked on a 3-year journey - travelling, researching, and collecting opinions of diverse Jews and Arabs across Israel in order to transform them into a straightforward rap song that will convey our complex reality.
    This video mirrors the extreme voices I encountered, blinded by fear and nurtured by simplistic narratives.
    The young generation had enough. We believe in change, and we want to live and love.
    By promoting authenticity, understanding complexity and speaking the harsh truth - we can let go of past traumas and build a better future together.

    • @gioraisaharov6140
      @gioraisaharov6140 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Listen, one of the problems with the conflict is people who look for reasons to argue about and the way they choose to comment such as the comments above. The thing is that there are more people then just Palastinians that feeling oppressed or discriminate, such as Bedouins, christian Arabs and Muslims that are neither. I happened to know Uriya and Sameh (the creators of the video) and that's how we talk about the problems when we talk about them. Some targeting the issues specifically about the Palastinian problem some targeting it in to a larger scale and include all Arabs in Israel and around it. There is a way to create a dialogue without attacking. You don't have to agree with everything I say but try maybe to look on my effort to support. I don't have to support in the exact way that fits you guys/girls I do it my way. Have a blissful week and happy idle Mubarak

Why are they insisting on keeping the hatred going? It's up to the younger generation to say enough is enough. POWERFUL! I was in tears by the end. You both have done amazing work with this piece. May yours and others' voices bring light to the world regarding what is really going on there that we--the world--are not being told the truth about.

      What makes this work so operatically universal makes it relevant to the privileged all over the world.
      Something this well-written and performed is like a ritual of catharsis that could go a long way to building the kind of cooperative humanity that Global Pandemics require of us all to be prioritized more than our capitalistic competitive spirit and militaristic macho Daddy Warbucks profiteering nuclear nightmare radioactive techno bullsquat.
      Even our capitalistic competitive spirit has been surpassed in terms of evolutionary adaptation by the oligarchs concentrating the world's wealth via legal constructs like Intellectual Property Rights that far exceed mere patents by gizmo inventors and has allowed with zero Anti-Trust Law\Anti-Competitive Law Enforcement for a fraction of the world's population to control the vast wealth of the Information Age.
      The Robber Baron industrialists and Monopoly Railroad transport owners of the Industrial Revolution and the Sweat Shop bean counters and bosses of Wage Slavery have given way to the Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg, Ellison (Oracle) and Google Neo-Feudal Lords of HI FInance\Tech\Telecomm\TransPort along with the board consolidated CEO's of utility and energy monopolies hoarding the world's wealth in their bank secrecy accounts. Often letting the world's reserve currency sit idle so it won't lose its value via "inflation."
      That is not how the Protestant Work Ethic was supposed to work in well-regulated and Anti-Trust Law enforced global trade.

    Can not judge the complex situation in the region. But I don't want to judge....what's beautifully shown here is how precious humanity time is lost due to confirmation bias and prejudice. How the human mind is influential by all we live in, for generations. Very well done, gentlemen!! I hope this youtube gets exposure and triggers something good in all who see it. Let's bridge the gaps and overcome the ugly anger that's part of us all, and can be lit like a bad fire by the ones seeking power. To the young ones of this world: stop the errors that were made before you. Don't let them rule your life as well. Again : Thx for this wonderful piece of art & the bravery to share this with us. Theo.

    Well done gentlemen! You shared the picture of how most people talk to each other. Fire by Fire. Especially in Israel. However, it really comes to the part let's just be on one table and listen to each other and go beyond just debating. When it comes to finding solutions there isn't one that have the right answer, there is let's create a dialog of what is in reality, let me get to know you, and you get to know me, I don't necessarily need to share with you same opinions nor beliefs but we can respect each others. If we choose accepestance over being biased, we can build a nation that works in the intrests of everyone and not for a specific race, religion, and or nationality. Thank you again for sharing.

    This is truly moving. There is so much beauty between both people's. I pray and hope that the extreme voices will be squashed on both sides so that peace can be among you. Regardless of the past and how this country came to be, what matters is how it moves forward. Together. There is so much bitterness by two groups of people who have a history of hurt. Bring that pain and put it together. An mold the country into what you believe it can be.
    Thank you for this.
