I have just replaced my front speakers following your excellent tutorial. All done witin a couple of hours! After weeks with only one of the front speakers working, the sound is remarkable! I couldn't have done this project without your help - thank you. Will chekout your other tutorials.
Been thinking about fitting new speakers. But has always been just a thought. But having now watched your vid. Feel more confident in doing the job. Many thanks keep up the great work.
A missive Thank you for these Videos. I’ve just done my speakers in my car. Always wondered how easy it would be but put it off until I found your video. My drivers side speaker blew, no sound for 2 weeks and went and did the change last week. Hard to get the doors off but then easy once you do one. Used the same speakers as they had great reviews, definitely better than factory fitted ones and got the speaker supports. The speakers are a massive improvement on previous speakers. Again, thanks for all your vids. Changed interior lights. And now have the bulbs for the external lights. Not looking forward to that though.
Thanks for the video. Just did mine as per your vid. Contrary to the previous comment the speakers are a decent improvment over stock in terms of sound quality and physical quality. Better magnets and speaker cone materials. I expect they will last far longer than the cheap paper cone ones they have replaced, Thanks
Loved this video! My qashqai has the Bose speakers but they blew gradually over the winter, thanks for the tutorial I’ll be coming back to watch again when I get the speakers and adaptive ring thing in the post
I have just finished fitting a set of front door speakers using your very informative video, just to add that there are holes in the adapters for the wiring to be fed through, I used these as I was concerned about the wiring being internal as you showed would possibly foul upon the windows? Fitted and all good. Thanks 😊
Hi, just had to upgrade my front door speakers as drivers side crackled and gave up the ghost. Followed you video tut only to find the idiots have riveted the speakers in place on a J11b 2019. Not only having to buy speakers and adapter rings but now have to buy a Rivet nut tool and drill out rivets. Grrrr
Drill the rivet heads out with a 6mm drill bit then opened the holes with a 9mm bit. Used a rivetnut gun with 8mm rivetnuts.. used flathead screws. Thunk they were 16mm long
I'm also replaced only front speakers on renault kadjar with the same pioneers , there is a litlle difference but the major problem is a lack of door insulation and sounproofing materials inside , from a naked metal sheets with a lot of holes there is no way to feel real improvement at sound.
Hi love all your videos the driver window button doesn't work all the other three windows work from the driver side control but the driver window button don't work can you do a video on it how to sort out this problem please thank you
Hi mate. I had the exact same issue. I ended up replacing the window switch board with another off eBay. It simply pops out of the door card with a plastic pry tool and unplugs
@@TheQashqaiGuy ok... Per quanto riguarda la potenza potresti installare un subwoofer sotto il sedile come ho fatto io, la situazione migliora notevolmente... Comunque ottimo lavoro amico 💪 saluti Francy 👋
Hi mate, great tutorial as always! Any tips on how to get rid of that horrible squeak that comes from the arm rest on both front door panels? I've tried spraying them with silicone spray, but it didn't do anything to stop the squeak.
Thanks for the great work, have you any idea on how to change the tweeters as I am considering upgrading my speakers to the Nissan recommended Focal Live speakers.
Another helpful video Dan! Regarding the stereo cutting out issue (Nissan update), my car cuts out a lot and I thought it was loosing the DAB signal until I saw your video about the update. I really don't want to go through the dealer and I know its a bit of long winded process but do you have any links or files to do the update yourself?
It's really simple if you call Nissan UK, they'll sort you out. I wouldn't recommend doing the update yourself when it's free of charge. If it goes wrong it can brick (kill) the stereo.
Go to Nissan direct they were brilliant and they sorted it straight away by giving me a code to give to my local Nissan dealer and they did the update in an hour and free of charge!
Hi Dan, Did the speaker upgrade meet your expectations? I’ve replaced all 4 door speakers but feel left a bit disappointed. Sure, there is more clarity and less distortion under high volume scenarios, however the bass is still lackinga and about on par compared to factory shitty speakers. I think the head unit is just not capable of utilizing the full speaker potential now. Also, since we had to remove the door cards, guess if there are no creaks in there? Wrong, there are! So although it does sound marginally better, in my case the better option would have been to install a under seat subwoofer… Whats your take?
Did you go the route of a sub woofer? Which one did you buy and how did you connect it up? Was it in the back of the stereo or just piggy back off the +/- of a speaker wire?
Hi dan thanks for a great fitting tutorial. My drivers door speaker had blown AGAIN (i swopped it over from the rear on last time) they are 20 watt speakers fitted in mine. As some have mentioned the base is lacking on these speakers could you recommend better ones pleased as ive no idea what to look for
I need to do this as my driver side speaker has popped, don't fancy popping round and doing mine do you? lol. Hopefully I'll manage it without breaking something 😬
@@TheQashqaiGuy Ah I meant as in the spacers, can I ask did you notice a good sound improvement from the pioneers, as I love loud music but I hate distortion thanks
Ah I see! Yeah sorry I got the sound way ones. The treble definitely improved, bass not so much. I think if I were to upgrade again I'd go for better coaxial units.
@@TheQashqaiGuy Thanks for the quick reply, I thought the qashqais came with a separate tweeter upfront, I just ordered some Comp JBLs that have a separate tweeter, I hope they will work now and thanks again.
I'm planning the speakers' upgrade and since already removing the door cart, I'd like to improve sound insulation. I can see lots of uncovered areas (plain paint, no insulation) in your video. I've found 2 types of absorbers: 1.6-2.6mm butyl mat for rattling reduction and 8-10mm foam mat to absorb some sounds oise. Is there a potential to stick some sound absorbers on those uncovered areas? I mean wouldn't it prevent cart from clipping back in?
Seems to be a relatively common issue. Try locking it with the interior sensors off by pressing the button by the rear view mirror. (It should beep when it locks) If it still sounds then it is probably related to the external or rocker sensors.
@@TheQashqaiGuyapparently (from one of the other commenters) it's a j11b 2019 model. The door was ready to take off and replace though. Thanks. Now to decide if I want to start drilling...
I managed to Shazam the song, thanks for loading it up. As a new subscriber I don't know if you have a mailbox to ask questions directly. I picked the car up this morning but am having some teething problems I can't find answers to?

Hi you never did say in the video what the spec of the standard speakers in the Qashqai. Excellent video by the way!

Dan, please invest in some plastic trim tools. I was wincing watching you use the screwdriver. LOL
Haha yeah I know, they've been butchered in the past lol
Great helpful video many thanks just ordered the goods. Anything to stop the wife nagging about blown speaker lol.
Small hint - check polarity of speaker connectors with a battery, most of the time they are inverted.
Love your vid's all the updates your doing on Nissan Qashqai your going to have another car soon ha ha😂😂
One of the dash speakers cracks for me, can you make a video on that please? Thanks
Pity you didn't link to the speaker adaptors / loom, but for anyone else, they're part number CT55-DC01
Fantastic! Just what I needed. Thx!

I think it's just the build quality of the plastics. Not much you could do really
Great vid 👌 can't seem to see the links
Help, can’t find the link for the adaptors you talk about
Hello, thanks for your video. I would like to install a subwoofer in my qashqai. Do you maybe have some info for that?
You would be best off getting an aftermarket stereo and wiring one in with an amp
Thanks for the great work, have you any idea on how to change the tweeters as I am considering upgrading my speakers to the Nissan recommended Focal Live speakers.
Not too sure. It looks like the covers may unclip but I don't think there'll be much room to work on them!
Any idea if the rears use the same adaptor ring?

Haha, it's not too bad but those clips do break easy so maybe worth getting some replacements in ready

Go on Amazon, you should be able to get a selection for a good price

Not planning to but I'm sure it'll be near identical
back speakers are easier - no bolts to undo. Everything is clip on.
What must the ohms be of the replacement speakers. I have the 1.2 visia model so sound is standard.
4 or 6, but 4 is the most common
Hi Dan, any ideas of how you get google maps send-to-car working for the qashqai?
I don't think it works anymore now that Nissan connect has been scrapped in the EU.
thinking of doing the upgrade soon, am i right in thinking that you only used the wires from the adapter+wire kit and not the adapter rings?
ignore me....just saw the video again and yes you do use the rings as well....duh...lol
Good video. Do they sound better.
I think so. They're definitely clearer.

There's a lot of space behind the door card but some parts are very flat. You'd probably have to work it out with it removed.

Hi, I'd say these are clearer, but less bass.
@@TheQashqaiGuy Thanks for your reply. Mmm I like bass. I think I will stick with the originals.
Yeah, I think one of nine was a bit dodgy which is why I did it in the first place.
Obviously you could spend more and get better quality ones.
