    I used your idea to modify my three innotek manual launchers. Had to change the layout quite a bit because of their design, but the idea worked great!

    Can’t really tell how the actuator hooks up to trigger the launcher. Nice work. I just watched another vid on one you can buy and seem what it’s like. Thanks for the vid

    Like your setup. Would like to set up 2 or more, but don't want to carry multiple transmitters. Any idea on parts configuration?

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well thank you!! It’s been working well for us. So this configuration we actually set up another one exactly like it and we are able to use the same remote for 2 different launchers. It has a A and B button on the remote. I just checked the links that I put in the description of this video and all the parts we ordered from Amazon are still in stock. Hope this helps. If not let me know I’ll try dig further into it with you and figure a system out that will work for you.

    where did you get the basket part? or did you build it

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The basket is a manual bird launcher. Most of the time you can find some on eBay or local classifieds. We did have to do some modifications and weld in a plate for the latch system.

    Not sure you will still monitor this thread but just finding this video... Can you tell me how far the remote and receiver can reach? looking for preferably 150 yards

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya know Jared I haven’t tested it that far out so unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you. My brother in law has both launchers in Wyoming so I don’t have a way to run out a test then either.

    I'm giving this a try and the battery pack I ordered from Amazon has a thinner gauge wire it looks like from what you've got there. The switch seems weak right now. Do you recommend swapping for better wiring to handle the power better?
    Right now I have two next to each other, and one seems "okay" and the other is fizzling out. The one working well also is heating up big time. Did you experience that?

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t had any issues with heating up or the fizzling sound you are talking about. On the on fizzling out I would definitely check all of your electrical connections and make sure they are all tight. Did you order the same components that we used in this build?

    • @laxsherman
      @laxsherman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheWesternGrind Sorry by fizzling I just mean it's not a powerful flush like your example. I'm going to check the connections and probably upgrade the thin wiring and see how that goes. Could it also be that testing the two units near each other is causing interference?

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would definitely check the wiring. The hardest part for me was to try figure out the wiring, due to the crappy diagram they provided for the wireless transmitter. If you bought the same components we used really look at the wiring and make sure you made yourself a jumper wire and put it in the correct locations. Also we had 2 side by side and didn’t have any issues.

    • @laxsherman
      @laxsherman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheWesternGrind Okay thank you! Definitely bought the same parts. The wiring on the new battery packs is about 1/2 the diameter of the actuator wiring so I'm wondering if that's a factor. Will keep in touch with progress.

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes please let me know and if you aren’t able to figure it out. Look me up on Instagram @shreddedtines and shoot me a DM and some pictures and I’ll try my best to help you out. I would say if you have all the wiring where it needs to be and tight then the issue might be with your parts 🤷🏻‍♂️ They are fairly inexpensive so I wouldn’t be surprised if the quality control is a little ehhh! But please let my know one way or the other. Thanks Kevin.

    Like your design. I am planning to build a cray bird thrower with a remote trigger mechanism. I would like to ask you how many launches that small battery pack can handle?

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! And to be honest I made that launcher for my brother in-law so I will have to ask him to be able to get you an accurate number.

    • @captainjayc9217

      @@TheWesternGrind Thanks for your reply. I appreciate that. By the way, I meant to say "clay thrower", not "cray thrower". Glad that you know what I mean.

    • @TheWesternGrind
      @TheWesternGrind  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you aren’t the only one that fat fingers the buttons lol!! My brother in-law said he has well over 50 launches and hasn’t had to change batteries yet so that’s the best info I can give you!

    Hi there, like your design! I would like to make one myself to train my GSP. Are you willing to share the specifications / the links where to find the actuator, the remote,...?
    Thanks a lot!
