Could you one day make a comprehensive video about why both the 450 and the 500 exist for people who can only afford one bike please? Maybe also talk about the 350 and a 300 2 stroke a little bit. Personally I'd also be very interested about a short d-tour into the option of owning two wheelsets, one with offroad tires and sproket and one with supermoto tires and sproket. That would be so incredibly helpful, just like many of your other videos! Thanks a lot for making YT content Mike!
This is a great video that I have been hoping for. I bought my sx1 for my 24 crf450rl from you a few months ago. Will you be offering the LED Map Switch by its self for purchase? Thanks Mike.
The design of the Y connector forces the WiFi module to be mounted near the map switch, for example behind the number plate and not in the airbox. This is because the two leads are wrapped together prior to the Y split and there is not enough length to go all the way back to airbox if you wanted to mount WiFi module in airbox. There is also a lack of mounting options in airbox. Consider updating your videos and clarifying this in your instructions.
Nice overview of the changes made over the years. I recently picked up the KTM Connectivity Unit and it feels very limited and gimicky compared to the functionality of the Athena GET units.
@@TACOMOTOCO Well, Kind of a heavy guy at 260 geared, looking to clean up the flame outs and add more power in the real loose stuff. What does the ecu do ultimately? Long reach… low to mid torque increases? Gearing is stock -any go to recommendations? I really have to focus on clutch work every second.
@@TACOMOTOCO For the green SX1, is there way to know which switch it's currently mapped for? Can that be found in the WiGET over wifi? And if mapped one way, what is the procedure to swap? Send it back? Or is there a firmware-flash we can download from somewhere? Cheers!
Fantic is an Italian motorcycle brand that uses GET hardware as its OEM ecu. Incidentally Triumph and Ducati do as well for their new dirtbike models, and depending on recent supply chain issues a switch may have the GET name or one of those other brands on it, but no worries, they are all made by GET and all are the same as each other
@@TACOMOTOCO with that being said, i have some question... would a Get wifi module that came with a 2017 CRF 250 Get RX1 power box (orange box) fit a RX1 Pro tuner (green box) mapped for a SXF 250 2017? Same goes for the traction control unit that lives on the front fenders? Are all the components that add on to the Get Rx1ECU the same, or do they come brand and model specific? I know its a lot of questions...
i just ordered the sx1 with the plain switch. It is supposed to be here Tuesday. Can I exchange the switch for the multifunction switch? I didn't realize it had all those features, just thought it cost more because it was LED. lol oops
Hey there TACO MOTO Co..... you guys do a lot od good works & I'm worried about a topic that I hope you guys might know about? How can a bike owner or any other protect their vehicle from an accidental frequency hit? A pulse that wipes out computers and other media? IDKnow what all can cause this to happen but it's serious enough that we all ought to know how to protect our assets from this? I've seen "Bags" that can protect circuit boards & it might be that we need to have an extra or just the old one when we buy from you? I guess I answered my own question here but to take the old "brains" and put them into a "EMP Proof" bad just in case. Questions about this has loomed ever since the 2YK event as 1999 went into a new millennium. If you know about any of this or if anyone else does, please feel free to drop a link or info so I might learn more? Peace guys & GB ALL
Yeah, you need a full-on Faraday cage, zero openings. If you're worried about something like this, best to go old-school kick+carb with zero electronics, and if your bike gets hit, repairs are pretty easy to get it running again.
Yes TacoMotoCo, I have heard of these & didn't wish to sound like a whack-job conspiracy nut.... lol, Too Late I guess but I only asked you guys b/c I'm very impressed w/ your products & I thought that perhaps you guys might know how to protect these "ECU's" from some accidental hit? I know of the "cages" but I look to you guys in the hopes you've created something to protect these devices? Think of the income if you had one that worked? I'd buy along w/ a million other people, faster than you could make them ! Thanks for the time & for your high quality products. IF you do create something for this huge world-wide marketplace, do not let the manufacture happen outside this country lest it be substandard. peace & GB You/yours
@@TACOMOTOCO >> Yes TacoMoto, that IS the reason I am here today. Nothing more, nothing less..... You guys carry a torch & I've not even bought a bike yet & I'm here w/ you 110% as I save money for a dual sport. I appreciate what ya'll do & recognize the importance // peace & GB ALL
It's a good summary thanks Mike. Is there any way I can get my SX1 ECU remapped with Taco Maps? I bought my bike with the SX1 ECU from another seller, with the intention of sending it to TacoMoto for Taco Maps. I paid for the service, filled out the survey, then was told it's no longer for ECU's sold by another reseller, and had my order cancelled and refunded. I paid for the service when the description wasn't exclusive to TacoMoto ECU's/ I believe the description was updated afterwards to reflect that, and now I dont see the service visible at all. Is there something going on with versions of hardware / software or demand or something? Can you shed some light on the situation?
We’re revamping our ecu re flash program and temporarily took it off the site until it’s finalized. Apologies for the inconvenience, we’ll reach out when it’s updated and turned back on
I was looking for info on a GET ignition that I got in a kit from Crower Cams in 2018 for a KTM 250 SXF. I found your video doing a search. I really don't understand it and what map 1 and map 2 do. I also got a GET for a 2024 YZ 125. I don't see a difference between map 1 and 2 either. It's straight from Europe. I have a lot of questions. Is there a way I can call someone about these ignitions? I even have a wifi module, but it's never been hooked up. I am so confused. I would pay someone for 30 minutes of phone time.
Very happy to learn you’ll support those of us who bought from other outlets! Great informative video!

My new tacomoto sx1 ECU is coming this Wednesday, can’t wait!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻✊💨
More power!
did you get a green or grey
I got my grey SX1 last Thursday!
Traction control is built into the map switch. I don’t have to purchase the separate traction control knob.
I have the new SX1 with the led map switch and the traction control switch on order. Can't wait to fix my 24 CRF450RL.
Have my sx1 on order for my 24 FE350s. Looking forward to receiving it 🏍️.

When are you getting into adventure bikes. . . KTM 890r🙏

Can an RX-1 be upgraded to have current taco moto maps? also interesting in buying the led map switch if it’s compatible

Yes, and we’ll talk about that in an upcoming video
What would you recommend for an 18 XcF 350 exhaust and ECU… Eastern work? GNCC / Jday Gp style A Senior.
What don’t you like about the bike now?

Do you have an idea of how much hp you can gain on a 2024 500 EXC-f with a SX-1 and Graves slip on with the desmog kit if you recommend it.
We can take that stock bike w 38hp to 60 🛴🔥🚀

The new gray SX1 has quick shift? Will it give quick shift (or any other) capabilities to a 2022 KTM EXC-F 500 that it doesn't have from factory?
The taco moto SX1 (green or grey) with the LED map switch will add quick shift to any 17-25 350-501 Austrian dirtbike 😎🏁
@@TACOMOTOCOWOW! Thank you for your reply. I'm a supermoto guy, and this is a great upgrade. I'll be in touch soon.
If we have a green SX1 does it need to be reflashed to work with the new controller??
An SX1 can be flashed to work with either map switch. To change from one or the other, a re flash of the unit will be needed
