I was homeschooled starting in second grade just like Claire, along with my younger siblings, and I LOVED it beyond words. I taught Montessori and music lessons after earning a Masters in Music, and am now a young mother homeschooling my three little girls and homesteading with my husband. One of my girls’ favorite “homeschool lessons” is going out on the homestead helping Daddy. There is so, so much to learn by living, doing, loving, and being together! Ashley and Dave, your kids are richly blessed to have you for their teachers! There will be ups and downs as you know, but you are giving them a tremendous gift. Just saying, they are great parents. More people should be like them. Very attentive which is so good for their kids. No yelling is such a good rule every family should have. I think they show a fantastic example of how you should raise your kids in a healthy environment. Honestly, very impressive. Love their videos so much!!
Everyone is like: Oh ashley is such a good mother! or The Kids are so cute! or They're such a good family! but noone says: dave is such a good dad but I think this channel exists just because of him so dave: i really respect you! Go on like this❤❤
I think that Dave is an amazing dad and none of this would be possible without him and raising these amazing kids involve both parents equally. I however do tend to think that because Dave and Claire are usually the ones performing Ashley and the other kids seem to be more “behind the scenes” so I think in videos that show more of them people tend to give them more recognition. Don’t take this the wrong way, I am in no way trying to be rude.
I've been homeschooled my whole life (14 years) and when I see other parents start homeschooling their kids too it makes me so happy!! I think that being homeschooled has made me grow very close to my parents. It may be hard at first when you haven't done it before, but it is really fun to get to know your kids better!! I love watching your channel!! Stay safe!
I would homeschool in today’s world if I had young kids. As a teacher, normally I’d say kids need the social that a school can provide. But that’s not possible right now. And your kids get lots of social opportunities and they’re wonderful kids. You are wonderful parents and I’d bet you’re great teachers. You’ve already taught your kids so much! They have more manners than any kids I know.

The Crosby Parenting is what I want to integrate into mine. I'm just 21 and got out of college 😅 and don't have any kids yet, but your family inspires me, the bond and trust between the children and parents, the positive mantras the children live by and how they think about the wellbeing of the other, the level of maturity as young as they are, and Its truly amazing, please keep this up till the very end

Wow, Claire's strumming has really grown! And Carson. I teach 3-5 graders beginning ukulele and he is on par with them. So impressed. Don't put too much pressure on yourselves about a strict schedule, you're intelligent, curious, and loving parents - they will learn and thrive in that environment.
June has the most beautiful curly locks ever! I would recommend not brushing it as it's terrible for her hair. There's this thing called the curly girl method which a lot of us curlies like to follow. I hope you get the chance to look it up so June can have the support she needs! :)
I am glad you decided to home school while schools remain closed. I think it is awesome that your kids get to learn stuff you know, and you get to know how they think through learning and solving problems. Your kids will always treasure these memories with mom, dad, and their siblings, and you get to know that you strengthened the bonds between them and you.

Yay!!! The Crosby kids are so smart and I think you guys will all fall in love with homeschooling!! I am 12 and have home schooled for 7 years, I love learning and am taking a few college courses this year. Also I could not imagine being away from my piano and ukulele for 8 hours a day. It is a lot of work for parents and kids, but so worth it!!! Congratulations!!
@Roudha Almazrooei home school makes learning more efficient because there are not many other students. So kids could learn way faster beyond their age.

Thanks for the trip down memory line. I homeschooled my two boys up to high school. My youngest is in his senior year and the relationship I have with my boys are more precious to me than any amount of money working outside the home could have given me. And the men that they have become is directly related to how their love of learning and love of life was fostered in our homeschooling experience. Dave you and your wife Ashley are going to have tremendous ups and downs and you may even wonder if you're doing the right thing from time to time I can attest to you that you absolutely are. my advice that I give to all homeschooling parents is to make Father in Heaven your superintendent.
That was such a cute Idea to get the kids ready and take them to school. I think it put them in the vibe. If anyone can home school - I have complete faith in you and Ashley. I hope on those rare occasions we will have another chance to see the kids in school. That was so much fun!

Think of when you hear someone playing piano, or strumming a guitar. The dominant note you hear, is usually part of the melody. But if someone plays a chord, then not only do you hear the dominant note, you hear other notes, above and below it, that fill out the sound, The other notes are in harmony, and it is that harmony that makes the chord.

This reminded me of when my kids were younger and I homeschooled them. It was so fun! You will hold these memories forever. I still homeschool my youngest son who is now a sophomore. All the rest have graduated and have left home and have jobs. It’s definitely different homeschooling one child versus several but I still try to make it fun. To make it less lonely we have chosen to use the same curriculum as his best friend and they zoom each other for math and Literature.

As a homeschooler myself, about ready to graduate from college with my bachelors degree in engineering at age 20, I can already say you guys have made a great choice!! What a great 1st day of school! I taught Kindergarten for 34 years and I always had my students draw a self portrait on their first day. Carson’s self portrait was amazing! June has a good ear for music and sang the Eensy Weensy Spider so well. Precious! Claire is the sweetest big sister and very talented! I love Crosby Academy!🍎

Ashley makes everything look so natural and effortless. I love her style of parenting and teaching and aim to be like her as I raise my daughter. She is so calm and gentle and the kids respond so well to her. It’s incredible! ❤️ Dave is awesome too!

Omgosh June laughing at Claire’s birthday video, that kid made my night! They are all precious, Carson is funny, Claire is beyond her years. We’ll have to see what June will be like in a couple of years, right now she is just the cutest June bug ever!

Wow, Claire's strumming has really grown! And Carson. I teach 3-5 graders beginning ukulele and he is on par with them. So impressed. Don't put too much pressure on yourselves about a strict schedule, you're intelligent, curious, and loving parents - they will learn and thrive in that environment.
June has the most beautiful curly locks ever! I would recommend not brushing it as it's terrible for her hair. There's this thing called the curly girl method which a lot of us curlies like to follow. I hope you get the chance to look it up so June can have the support she needs! :)

I think it is awesome that your kids get to learn stuff you know, and you get to know how they think through learning and solving problems.
Your kids will always treasure these memories with mom, dad, and their siblings, and you get to know that you strengthened the bonds between them and you.

Yay!!! The Crosby kids are so smart and I think you guys will all fall in love with homeschooling!! I am 12 and have home schooled for 7 years, I love learning and am taking a few college courses this year. Also I could not imagine being away from my piano and ukulele for 8 hours a day. It is a lot of work for parents and kids, but so worth it!!! Congratulations!!
@Roudha Almazrooei home school makes learning more efficient because there are not many other students. So kids could learn way faster beyond their age.

Thanks for the trip down memory line. I homeschooled my two boys up to high school. My youngest is in his senior year and the relationship I have with my boys are more precious to me than any amount of money working outside the home could have given me. And the men that they have become is directly related to how their love of learning and love of life was fostered in our homeschooling experience.
Dave you and your wife Ashley are going to have tremendous ups and downs and you may even wonder if you're doing the right thing from time to time I can attest to you that you absolutely are. my advice that I give to all homeschooling parents is to make Father in Heaven your superintendent.
That was such a cute Idea to get the kids ready and take them to school. I think it put them in the vibe. If anyone can home school - I have complete faith in you and Ashley. I hope on those rare occasions we will have another chance to see the kids in school. That was so much fun!

What does harmonized mean
@@safm986 it means that she sang the song a couple of notes higher than the melody, in a way went with the melody and filled out the chord.
Think of when you hear someone playing piano, or strumming a guitar. The dominant note you hear, is usually part of the melody. But if someone plays a chord, then not only do you hear the dominant note, you hear other notes, above and below it, that fill out the sound, The other notes are in harmony, and it is that harmony that makes the chord.

This reminded me of when my kids were younger and I homeschooled them. It was so fun! You will hold these memories forever. I still homeschool my youngest son who is now a sophomore. All the rest have graduated and have left home and have jobs. It’s definitely different homeschooling one child versus several but I still try to make it fun. To make it less lonely we have chosen to use the same curriculum as his best friend and they zoom each other for math and Literature.

As a homeschooler myself, about ready to graduate from college with my bachelors degree in engineering at age 20, I can already say you guys have made a great choice!! Also, Claire’s future of “A mother...” hey, that kid has a brighter future than most girls. She will have something more rewarding than any career! God’s blessings on you all!

I homeschooled my four sons for 23 years...it was a wonderful journey! Your children will benefit and they will not be socially handicapped. In fact, the comment I receive mist often about my sons is how well they interact with others. God bless and good luck on this new journey!

What a great 1st day of school! I taught Kindergarten for 34 years and I always had my students draw a self portrait on their first day. Carson’s self portrait was amazing! June has a good ear for music and sang the Eensy Weensy Spider so well. Precious! Claire is the sweetest big sister and very talented! I love Crosby Academy!🍎
