    Buyer diligence.
My experience in challenging times, is software vendors moving into business verticals that they normally wouldn't operate. Price becomes an even bigger factor for the buyer and it's a time when you're more likely to choose the wrong solution. Glittering freebies and incentives can snare the unsuspecting prey.

I think a critical point to consider when implementing digital transformation along with business strategy is how to form up the team that is on ground and doing all the ground work especially when the organization is large. It can easily turn out to be a task falling apart due to its nature. Things apparently can’t be achieved just because there is clear tone from the top.

This is a very thoughtful presentation and it puts the focus on the right issues. Most companies are likely to agree with the issues on the list. ut the devil is in the details of implementation. Change management is certainly important, as is establishing and consistently pursuing a good digital strategy. But many companies don't have an answer to exactly how this should be approached.

I think decentralized finance and smart contract based tokens like ethereum is important enough to be called out as a separate 2021 trend.

Very informative video. However 1 point that I want to make is that Digital Transformation should be something that the company wants on its own to do to bring in efficiencies in their operators and improve the customer experience. The organization should be proactive and thinking about how things can be done in a better way (continuous improvement), rather than being forces upon by situations like Covid or competitors or obsolescence, etc. If one takes that approach, transformation to any new technology or process is faster and smoother.

    Thanks Eric, great insights indeed.
Learning, I see, is an additional focus for many clients in the new paradigm. Given the importance of upskilling and reskilling, perpetuating a culture of lifelong learning in the organisation will be critical and I see many clients realising this and working in this direction already.

Thanks, Eric, definitely very accurate predictions, I would just add that proactivity, predictivity, and data science are key hard elements to also consider, and on the human side (soft), add these new talents and competencies to the organization will be key, how can orgs accelerate knowledge and learning these new capabilities inhouse... not just thinking about firing/hiring but developing skills
