Enjoy the time with your son. I spent time with my Dad doing different things...camping and the like...and I cherish every moment of it. I can now remember for him when he cannot.
Ayden deserves a well-earned nap. Tom, Happy Father's Day. What an amazing experience with your son. Thank you very much for sharing the week. Ayden, go get em kid. You have one hell of a Dad.
that 57 wagon is a thing of beauty creating awesome memories and learning!thank you Tom and Ayden for taking us with you on this adventure! #moontune 👌
Oh yeah I'm so jealous of him. My entire life the only thing I've ever wanted from my dad was to build a race car together. The most I ever got was occasionally getting to be the tool gopher when he changed brakes or something. Tom is doing an awesome job, not only teaching Ayden so much about racing, but he's building a solid relationship. He actually puts in effort, something my father can't be bothered to do. Ayden, don't take your dad for granted.
I love that Aden wears the mistakes and puts it down to him being spooked by something unexpected happening. No young man hormones and keeping it flat no matter what! What a great young man he is.
Aydan great job! For anyones first time drag racing I think your approach is perfect. Patience is the key when learning anything. With every mistake you make you only learn from it.
this is a great way to spend time with your son .you two work good together . this is a time you both will look back at and always smile cuz you guy did it together .
Dude americana route 66 life . Think people helping each others. Lov your work with your boy. Good luck to you and son the rest of the bunch. Personally you'll all winners.
I'm very impressed Tom a d Aidan( hopefully spelling is correct). Tom you are a fantastic father. It's so refreshing to see Dad/Son working together for a common goal ! Aidan, best of luck (and skill). You two together ROCK ! Warmest Regards from Arizona
you guys rock love your show friends im a 64 yr old with a lot of health problems so im on vids alot cletus boosted boyz AND NOW you guys thanks for helping me get through the day
My takeaway from all of these videos, and those from all the other normal suspects, is that the quality of people at these events is just incredible. That also seems to go for the people in the "flyover country."
Roger that tango one 9er, I think it was when Steve Morris rode with Cleetus during Midwest drag week . That he mentioned to Tom the need for those head phones. That are pretty awesome,my buddy has them on his Cigarette boat. It's impossible to hear otherwise
I’ve really enjoyed this series of videos, thank you for taking the time to share your adventure with us. Tom it is obvious you and your wife have done a good job easing your son, he surely makes you proud. Cheers from Tokyo Stu.
Its all a learning process and seeing how far Aydan's grown in just this week Itll come. Working with a gimp turbo I am sure is in the back of his mind as well. The best thing is he KNOWS what he has done or missed so more growth will come with that knowledge too. Hope your next leg is safe and uneventful.
Ayden just needs seat time and to get over that end of the track shutdown area nervousness .... especially before the speeds increases ! I'm sure more laps will do just the trick ✌😎 For his first week he's done amazing & right after or still building the car , wow you guys make a great team 😎🏁☺ You guys have had a hot & tough week but still one awesome father >< son / son >< father experience ! I would imagine it doesn't get better than that, that's great for the both of you ! Best of luck the rest of the way guys, thank you for the video's and I can't wait till the sweet 55' is ready to fly 😆 I said I could only imagine because I lost my dad when I was very young ( 4 years old ) ( but I had older cousin's & uncle's that stepped in and helped so that was nice ) I was lucky enough to be blessed with two boys & we did everything from Lego's, Hot Wheels &`Wicked R.C rides...etc. We moved from the city to the country so they turned into offroad nuts but still love dragracing like their old man 😎 I grew up on Big Daddy, The Snake, Jungle Jim, Cha Cha, The Grump, Dyno Don....... I saw all the legends so many times at New England Dragway here in N.H & a couple of national events in Gainesville Fla 😆 National Dragster was my Bible in my early teens, Then I raced every car / truck that I ever owned...but I got hurt bad a while back and can't drive anymore but dragracing will always be in my blood & it's so cool that it's only a few clicks away when I want it ! I'm so blow away at the times and speeds 5.99 @ 250 in a street legal car...wow ! Looking back: I was at New England Dragway in the late 70's when..... Billy Meyer ran the first 5's ( 5.97 ) at that track in his Aqua Slide-n-Drive nitro funny car 😆 Dragracing is such an amazing sport.... you will do everything possible so you can blow the doors off the guy in the next lane...... but then if that same guy has a problem & hurts his car ... this time you will do everything possible to help him fix his ride before the next round... That is Dragracing ✌😎 Have fun, be safe and enjoy the wild rides___________________
Tough break on the tires and turbo, that heat is brutal those machines. Well Aydan, you learned an important lesson about running at a new track, they are all different and this one was definitely hard to judge that end line, but you absolutely had 9s on both runs if you'd of run it out just that little bit more. I had to watch the last pass a second time to even see that small circle sign and I was looking for it, you were driving and figuring out your shutdown plan. Several other drivers had the same problem. Awesome race week! Thanks for bringing us along.🇺🇸🦅🤙
Good job Ayden and Thank you Tom. Great Father Son team. Seen last race and Ayden rocked it. Stay safe and thanks for the great Vids this week. enjoyed them
Congrats on the last hit at Great Bend, 9.12 IIRC; kudos to Aydan, I was looking for that chute, heh.. Hope the 'Box gives both of you a lot of memorable times.
that's funny Tim the tool man Taylor story I found Chevy Nomad in Fortuna CA it is just a small town he found out the cops where there so he just never went back. Met Big Daddy at Round table pizza. Grapes of wrath HWY 5 grade pull out 2 core didn't make it John Force pulled over to take a peak no big deal I turned the timing back for the steep grades. 1990
It's hot, moon tune ,🤣🤣🤣 It's so cool to watch you guys hey Jr find out where to stop 🤣🤣🤣 so cool guys I really enjoy watching the content all of you guys wishing I could hang out with you
I know this is ur first time dragracing, but I hope u get more enthused about racing then u are now. It just feels from my end watching you on a couple videos u don't care about driving the race car sometimes. I know its totally hot as hell there. I've watched a lot of other people racing there, and there're really excited to be racing and ur not excited 😒 about racing. U seem to be a great kid and u worked ur ass off getting ready for this race and ur probably tired as hell. So don't get down on urself for not everything is not working perfectly. Ur first build and first race. So just be happy u made this, cause there's over 50 car that have dropped out so far and ur still fighting. So please in joy urself. It will all work out in the end.
That's what happens when some1 has tons of money and everything is at their finger tips disposable. Nothing impresses them or appreciative of what they have
Yep, not every track has the scoreboards at the finish line. Raceway Park of the Midlands (the old mid America motorplex, in Pacific Junction Iowa) has the scoreboards roughly where the 1/4 finish line would be.... but it's only a 1/8th mile track. If you run a "fast" car there all the way to the scoreboards, you WILL hit the barrier at the end of the track.
goodyear tyres! thats a first on raceweek isnt it,i thought it was all hoosiers or m/t's. hope they work for you, keep on trucking. first class job for your firstime!!!!
Awww, rookie mistakes. LOL I still remember mine. I left a win on the fucking ground as I was racing for a 5k pot in my first 9 second car with a gigantic field that bought in. I spun, got flustered, almost money shotted 4 by going into 2 and then left off because I figured he had gone by me. He hadn't. He spun and got sideways and a bit more junk than even me so he was behind me. I...let off. He...saw a nice juicy rabbit in front of him that was just walking to the end of the track and blew past me. To this day that loss STILL stings. I used to run Turbos in everything until half of the races in the world hamstrung turbos with extra weight or limiting boost to stupidly low amounts which negated the purpose of having a power adder that starts slow but comes on in the end. Running a turbo that starts slow and ends up with the same MPH as a blower is useless because you can't make up a .90 60 foot with your 1.01 turbo car AND you can't employ enough boost to catch them on the big end. It's a crime what they've done to turbos since gen2's came out and started beating the snot out of the big flashy hatted blowers. NHRA having a love affair with gigantic blowers and their stupid rules trickling down to all of the other race series is just bloody criminal. Just because I can make 75 pounds of boost out the big end isn't 75 during the entire run and if I can't make 75 pounds, I had no chance to catch the big flashy blowers. I hope to god that someday, somebody cracks the NHRA heads, points at the facts that they've dropped too much weight or hamstrung turbos so that they're not competitive anymore. Hell even the almighty Nitrous is being shrunken too. To watch Radial Vs. World events with 90% of the serious competitors running screw blowers obviously underlines how frigging unfair the advantage is. NHRA E3 Spark Plugs as well. Like 3 competitive 88mm turbo'd cars that pick off a win here or there, 5 or 6 nitrous and the rest....like 30 cars are big hat Roots blowers. It's not right. Lastly, I learned from that loss even though it still hurts. Unless I'm going to chew an engine apart by trying to get back on it when the tires plant in the wrong gear, I damn well do my best to get down the track...even if its 5.30 vs a high 3. A race isn't over until the win light flashes.
Enjoy the time with your son. I spent time with my Dad doing different things...camping and the like...and I cherish every moment of it. I can now remember for him when he cannot.
You’re not the only one that had problems with that, a couple guys shut off at the scoreboards which is 8th mile there. Awesome job young man.
Damn, i would love to be able to do this with my dad. Y'all are living a dream
#moontune 👌
Ayden every check-in: “MOON TUNE”. Jokes aside, jealous he gets to do this with his father

Damn, you were not kidding about that bearing play in the 1320 video. Great job keeping it going!
I love that Aden wears the mistakes and puts it down to him being spooked by something unexpected happening. No young man hormones and keeping it flat no matter what! What a great young man he is.
Hear, hear Aaron,, HEAR, HEAR!
The outpouring of support from those that can help is what is amazing about race week.
Great content Tom. Aydan is really stepping up his racing game.
Aydan great job! For anyones first time drag racing I think your approach is perfect. Patience is the key when learning anything. With every mistake you make you only learn from it.

Good on him to be able to analyze what he did and take constructive criticism. He has a good head on his shoulders.
Man... If the turbo wrench isn't a T-shirt idea, I don't know what is. Good stuff!
you guys rock love your show friends im a 64 yr old with a lot of health problems so im on vids alot cletus boosted boyz AND NOW you guys thanks for helping me get through the day
Got to make a shirt now that says “Moon Tune” since it’s ayden’s favorite phrase
A shadowy outline of the car with the moon rising behind it. That would be sweet.
Aydens got the bug. And going fast is about to define life.
Tom Bailey is a Legend and you can tell his son is also going to be
Its awesome that ur able to make these memories with ur son Happy Fathers Day and great job kid
Very cool watching the interplay between father and son I love how they get along. No pressure.
I am amazed at how easy those Tires came off! That is one
BADASS ride. Thanks for taking us along.
My takeaway from all of these videos, and those from all the other normal suspects, is that the quality of people at these events is just incredible. That also seems to go for the people in the "flyover country."
Jaimie from PFI did the same thing his first pass at that track, he let off at the scoreboards
Roger that tango one 9er, I think it was when Steve Morris rode with Cleetus during Midwest drag week . That he mentioned to Tom the need for those head phones. That are pretty awesome,my buddy has them on his Cigarette boat. It's impossible to hear otherwise
Been entertaining watching your boy progress as a driver. Good luck tomorrow Bailey Boys.
I’ve really enjoyed this series of videos, thank you for taking the time to share your adventure with us.
Tom it is obvious you and your wife have done a good job easing your son, he surely makes you proud.

Good luck to you both. You must be a proud Dad Tom. Ayden seems to be a nice young man. He has a bright future I would say.
Props to the big guy for getting on the ground to work. I'm not sure I could.
Great team, keep on truckin! New turbo will get you back in the hunt!
Doing a lot better burnouts then on the first day.. Tom has to be proud of his son ! I can see it on his face

Awesome video Tom ..
Aydan you're getting better at ea track and the Et's and mph are showing it
I can't believe you could get those tires off without dropping the rear end. Amazing.
Jamie with PF I was beating himself up because of the finish line the other day. Nice job kid hope you enjoy it
Congrats on the last hit at Great Bend, 9.12 IIRC; kudos to Aydan, I was looking for that chute, heh.. Hope the 'Box gives both of you a lot of memorable times.

"...cool to see someone with a Merc CLS ...almost as low as mine!...great video by the way..." X=0D
I’m surprised that dude at the truck shop didn’t just lift the car himself instead of leaving the Jack for you 🤣🤣 fairly large gentlemen working there
Love the content!!! The young man is definitely improving
It's pretty great to see you and your son on this journey.
I hope you know how lucky to have a dad like that
Still moving thats the main thing.keep it up guys.

The air inside that tire is waving back.

Takes a while to get used to the camera stuff. Tom has been doing this for many years, so he's comfortable and presents well to the camera.
Some people are just reserved. Not everybody is the life of the party.
Scuffs are just as good as new as long as they're not TOO scuffed.
Tom it must give you great satisfaction running with your son
Good luck for the drive and the turbo arriving on time for you.
Race week participants: Creative and inventive.
Good luck guys!
I think Aiden likes the term MOON TUNE
Love the sickness shirt. I just got mine that other day. Can’t wait for a shit box of doom shirt. Aidan is doing awesome.

Such a cool Race car, Might really fly with a Radial tire.
Keep it up guys👍🏻
Great stuff!!
Wouldn't be race week without problems.
Good luck on the turbo. U need a phone /Tablet mount to hold your phone in front of you. Maybe a clip board on a radaitor hose connected to cage.

@7:47 Bless you, since Tom never said it. 😂🤷🏼♂️
You guys need a shirt that says Moooon tune
That's gonna be a nasty rip
Hope you will get the 8 seconds run this time.
