Yesterday I took a non-Christian friend of mine on a grocery shopping errand. We passed a beggar on the way in whom I ignored. However, my friend must have taken note since he bought some lunchables which he handed to the beggar on the way out. I feel ashamed of what I've thought at times & those in need I've ignored. Lord lead me to those in need.
May the Lord guide you into the most effective service, whether it be to feed the homeless or stand for injustices or to right a wrong, may He grant you knowledge of His Salvation and your work, Godspeed.
My grandpa was a pastor and I grew up listening to him sing this before he preached his sermon. He’s been passed away since 2012 but for some reason tonight, this song came into my spirit and I forgot some of the lyrics. I just had to look it up and this is the first time I’ve heard it dang by someone else other than my grandpa, but this has to be the version that he heard because he sang it just like this. My grandpa’s works, life, and service is most definitely still speaking for him. Praise God. 🙌🏽
Can't beat the old school Gospel music...Started with Motown then graduated to Stax/Atlantic (secular). When the Scamdemic started I got deeper into my faith and heavier into Gospel, CANNOT beat it! Thank you for posting.
I knew them personally saw them all the time and my parents had all their songs. This was one of my favorites. The lyrics says it all. "May the works I've done speak for me."
We all have to give an account for the life that we live.I am living my life for Jesus,in Hope's when I see him,he will say well done thy good and faithful servant. This song is a true reminder.
Thank you so much for uploading "Speak for Me." I've heard all Consolers songs, but I don't remember this one. It gives me GREAT pause for reflection. I'm 72 and I've made mistakes, but the Lord can use me powerfully to serve others in these last years of life.
None of us came to this world to live forever, as Heb. 9:27 says: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: If your life doesn't add up to the word of God, I employ you to repent, now! acknowledge your sins, and asks God to forgive you, in accordance with 1John 1:9. Repentance today beats spending eternity in torments.
I remember this song. My mom use to sing it. It brings wonderful memories. I understand the message it’s beautiful. However, I want the blood of Jesus to speak for me. Our works won’t be what makes me righteous before our Father. God bless you all.
The bottom line is your intentions before you do anything..... I hope ours are good 👍🏿, sincere, and righteous..... That is what we all are going to be judged by.... I say "Just Do It Right"... One thing is certain, you cannot do nothing dead.... So while you are here, make a positive mark in life and get it done ✔️. Make your word bond and then "Show and Prove"..... Let your good reputation proceed you in this life and the hereafter..... One thing is sure, our transition awaits us all.....and it's the only sure thing in life.. In Fact, death is the first thing in life we all should prepare for and then be buried naturally with the earth 🌎 ✨️.... Now get your work done ✔️.... Respect!
This song my mother would sing all the time & I miss her so much; we will meet again mom!!!!!
