No bro may be u r lucky to have that...but I'm using v1 and v2 both....my v1 had a ecu coil problem 2 time battery and coil and wirings entirely changed but still I had a issue on that upset bro...v2 is gem bro same problems body parts are damage when u ride rugged roads..otherwise v1 and v2 both engines are fabulous

big fan of the yzf r15 v2, I bought a Special edition V2 till now covered 75k+ kms, used it as a daily driver, and toured it several times, that bike, especially on highways is a milage ghost, and it returned 50+ during vellore to kolli trip, it has an amazing reliable engine, keep it below 5500rpm 50+ is a sure shot. I have always kept the tacho needle between 6k to 8k rpm and the motor loves revving high!
speaking of spares, they are available in every corner spare shop except showrooms and dealers.
Pro tip - Swap Mt-15 handlebar (use domi bar holders), slipper clutch (mt15), and clutch cable(Mt15), and replace 130-section rear tyre with the Michlin 140-section, u will have a sweet new bike.
I used Castrol Power 1 ultimate every 4000kms. I am sure this bike can do impossible odo readings.
till now I have changed the battery, tyres and have faced no major issues!
Owning r15 v2 since 2017 … no major problems … almost I’ve toured all states of south india and some states of north too.. Done bangalore to coimbatore 400 kms within 6 hrs … still managed to give mileage near to 48 kmpl … 70K kms on ODO till now … still running butter smooth .. haven’t touched engine parts till now … clutch plate changed twice , sprocket changed only once (im a Low rpm rider) , tyres changed 4 times , brake pads 4 times, I’ve changed my engine oil btw 2500 to 3000 kms once (motul 7100, yamalube if budget is tight, also tried liquimoly)… smooth cruising speed 95 - 110 kmph with good numbers of mileage … (some Tips based on my mistakes done - try to stick to stock size tyres, Never use radiator guard as it blocks air circulation and thats like blocking breathe of bike which leads to over heat, change oil once in 2500-3000 kms … your bike will thank you for this as it will sure increase lifetime , Lube once in 500 kms if your budget is low use gear oil which is comparetively low cost and effective too).. overall Reliable bike with sport and touring spec … In 2017 my bike cost was 1.18L ex showroom and onroad 1.35L… Definitely Worth the money🔥🔥🔥
Bravo guys!!! I have an r15 V2. I bought it in 2013 and I use it till date. I have around 69000 km in my ODO. But my speedometer stopped working before 4 years. Hence I am sure that I would have driven more than 1 lakh kilometres. I have never faced any problems with my bike till now. I have drained and topped up my coolant reservoir only 3 times in the entire time. I will change my engine oil every 3 months even if I don't ride my bike and I will change my air and oil filter every 8k kilo meters. I have ridden from Chennai to theni for more than 30 times since it my native and even a lot of touring to kodai. And the best part is that my bike is still crazy in good condition because I have never pushed my bike to over conditions. I used to shift my gears at 5k rpm and I have used only 85% of engine power till date. My crusing speed will be around 90@ 6k rpm. And the most interesting part is I'm 6.2" tall and it is very comfortable for me.

Using R15s, performance wise its competing with nowadays bikes. Almost non stop ride it upto 180kms wirh a average speed of 80 to 85 kms with a mileage of 50+ No issues. Maintenance matter 😊. Lite weight user friendly. Proud to be a R15s owner.

Kudos bro !! Big fan & I owned v2 2011 first batch red color awesome machine,. Bangalore to Coimbatore 2 trip poiruken and only problem I got is RR unit bro due to add on fog lights ipo remove panniten accessories avoid panrathu nalladhu in R15 RR unit 3.5k now
Using the V1 since 2011. Clocked around 108000. Had to change clutch plates around 80,000 and the fuel pump around 106000. The fuel pump failed since I let my bike sit idle for 6,7 months in corona. Don't let it happen.
Used to ride between Chennai and Erode, around 15 times, then Bangalore to Erode almost 50 times in two years. Solid machine!

Proud owner of R15 v2, same colour in this video, 2016 model bs3 delivered on 2017. Still now i got 2 issue, that is fuse complaint, very few kilometres once i got problem of short circuit of the fuse, it will run with no problem bt once i stop the bike and again i am about to start it once i give the self the whole display will shutter and it wont start till i change the fuse, and another thing is whenever i park my v2 under some hot place it won’t start after 3-5 minutes standing in hot places, i need to give 5-6 click to the self button to start the bike. Some once tell me is this problem is long term problem in v2 or its with my bike. Bt after that i am not stopping it under very hot places direct under sun, now its runs without no issue, still now i love my v2 clocked 90k without no major issues, and haven’t replaced no big spares, most of it is stock, and now i am planning to upgrade to duke 390, bt my parents are saying to sell the v2 and buy the 390 but i am not able to think of selling it to buy duke 390, i told them no i will keep v2 until my end of my life. And i am waiting and saving extra cash to buy duke 390 without selling my Gem R15 V2❤️. R15 v1, v2 are gem guys, so whoever got this model may be used or got it as new few years ago, just don’t sell it, its also like Rx, one of its kind machine.🔥
