Great video, especially the last point. Regarding SEO, I've had my suspicions that it matters less and less these days across all platforms. Etsy knows what your product is about. There are no magic tags that will get you discovered more. The best thing to do is focus on in-demand products + thumbnails + customer service.
Your last piece of advice is really important, and often we don't follow it out of laziness. I opened my shop almost 10 years ago, and I was fortunate that it grew favorably without any magic tools or SEO, just my handmade work and good photos. Every year I would tell myself, "You need to open your own online store," but I was too busy with Etsy orders and had poor work-life balance (I have to admit it). However, things haven't been going well since 2022, and 2023 has been terrible for sales. I also had issues with their policies on a couple of items; they removed them and put ALL my payments on reserve, which was really frustrating because this is my main source of income. So, I'm a bit late to your advice... hehe! But I'm definitely clear that Etsy won't be my primary source of income anymore. As you rightly said, Etsy only cares about Etsy, whether you've been with them for many years or just a month. Thank you for your channel; it's truly beneficial for sellers 🙌

The #5 is really what's on my mind lately. I've only had my Etsy shop open for 6 months and generating 6x profit compared to my day job. I'm afraid that once I quit my job and keep Etsy as my main source of income, these horror stories for suspension etc would happen to me - I can't afford that.
Hello Nick, You are sooo absolutely right about the last comment in your video. Make Etsy the smallest part of your income, build several e-commerce websites around you and have at least 6 legs to stand on besides an Etsy store!
Following your advice as you give it straight with no flowery chat. I have a new store 28 days in with 2 organic sales to USA and Germany. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom.
I just discovered your channel and enjoy your common sense ideas on the aspects of Etsy and business in general. I am in the early stages of developing a business so not quite ready for your paying services, but I am learning from your videos. Thank you.
Awesome! Loved the video. Thanks, Nick! One quick question. You mentioned that it's not recommended to redirect traffic from social media to our Etsy store, but instead, we should direct potential customers to our website. In this case, why should the customers go back to our Etsy store? I mean, if they are already on our website and can buy anything they want (Physical or Digital), why should they bother checking our Etsy store? Am I missing something?
Hi Ali, that is correct, they won't check your Etsy store, they will buy from your website. You are not 'redirecting' traffic from social media, you are sending your SM traffic direct to your website.
Every time I need a rain check I come here to listen ... more common sense in 15 minutes here than you get on most Etsy courses! Now, I'm off to tweak things and get designing some more products
super solid tips. I just want to add one more: Be responsible for your own traffic and never fall into the trap of thinking "If I build it they will come". Build it and put it in front of them. Regarding the last tip.. this applies all over the internet. I once witnessed an operation with 90 employees go under OVERNIGHT because of a Facebook algorithm change. They were entirely dependent on FB traffic and it was one heck of a ride while it was rolling. Their "success" was entirely built on the goodwill of another platform. It's the same all over. We are all platform building, essentially and social media / SEO / umbrella platforms should be seen as only a stepping stone. You should always be working on pulling your audience into a stable customer & lead databases, i.e. emails and phone numbers!
Etsy’s control over the business is definitely something that deterred me from started a shop for a long time. I figured I’d start there though and once I get all the pieces in place, start building a website. I can’t imagine how terrible it would be working crazy hours for months or years and then having them just shut things down for one reason or another! Thank you for all of your advice!!
That does happen, I've seen people get kicked off for little reason. It is a good channel to find people on though, but I do prefer to promote my own website over Etsy.
These are the real advice I have been searching for, because so much of the things that people talk about on videos don't make sense Thank you for that!
Thanks for that Nik. Great tips, especially number 5! At the moment, as it's early days, my Etsy store, website, separate store etc are all on equal footing regarding their positions, simply because they're all in the process of being built from the ground up. However, as time goes on, it's good to remember that tip 👌
Thank you Mr. "Etsy Consultant" for your unfailing good advice. My store is 13 months old and in a "slump". I will be contacting you for a consultation soon. I have followed 95% of your advice, as I am able and it is unfailingly the best on the internet. Thanks again. Marcia Buchmann

So true! Etsy suspended my shop for 3 months. I lost everything. I got it back for some luck but it's never the same. Now I always tell everyone not to make etsy their sole bread and butter. Etsy has the keys to the house. We're only guests. If they want to kick us out and bring someone else in, it's their prerogative...
I truly appreciate the valuable information you're providing to us. I would like to know more about making Etsy the smallest part of our business, especially as someone just setting up my shop. I looked into Shopify and chose Etsy for the ease of starting. I looked on your website and wondered if you had more information or further training on this. I have experience building websites so this piqued my interest. Thanks!
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Great question, please book a free call with me and we can go from there: etsy-consultant.com/services/discovery-call/
I am currently building a 7 stream revenue funnel, Etsy is just one small part of it. When all 7 streams are generating which builds the foundation for scalability, I will be adding another additional 3 membership components. But before that can happen, I need to get the rest of the streams flowing which will provide proof of concept to my community and clients to invest in what I have to offer. You are by far the best Etsy guru I have listened too, I will be in touch for a consultation soon enough. Thank you...
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Would love to work with you, please please do not direct traffic to your Etsy store. Links below for how you can work with me: etsy-consultant.com/services/
Yes, I do not plan on sending traffic to my Etsy store through my main website, I am kind of keeping them separate as they are 2 completely different target audience pipelines. I will be in touch at some-point soon, I already have your website bookmarked 🙂@@etsyconsultant
Wow Nik, thank you for that last tip! I only wanted to open an Etsy store before this but not even 1 whole month of opening my ne Etsy shop, it was suspended and has been for a while now and I've been waiting for the appeal decision, but I could not physically just sit around doing nothing for almost 2 weeks. So I decided to start up my own website and start researching how to do social media marketing and SEO to drive traffic to my website. I'm still waiting for the appeal decision but even if I get my shop back, it will not be the main piece of my financial pie haha, I will definitely put much more effort into my website.

This was SO helpful, thank you! Should we book a mini-call before we implement what you stated here, namely the 100+ listings? I have 2 Etsy shops that I had up to 1k+ listings each, but I am going in a new direction due to it just not being $ feasible (this was all before I discovered you). The one shop is only up to 60 listings currently. I'm working to get to my 100 and beyond. I haven't started on the other as yet. Thank you for all you share with us. It really helps to silence the NOISE we hear from all the 'experts'.
Thanks again Nick...spot on as usual !!!! I followed your advice re 'niche' products and did lots of research as you also suggested. I am a 'granma' outfit, so my income isn't reliant on Etsy, but your advice for those who are ( or trying to be) is clear and honest. Cheers from Oz.
Thank you for your videos! I started back on Etsy after about a 10 year hiatus. I closed the old shop years ago, completely, so I started fresh a few months ago and it has not been great. I was searching for some videos on how to help the Etsy SEO and found you. When I was first on it, I did well.. things change so I am not sure how well I will do now, but I am giving it a try.
Hi there, welcome back! Thanks for watching, wishing you all the success. Feel free to book a call if you would like one to one advice, link below: etsy-consultant.com/services/30-minute-zoom-consultation/
Hi Nick. About to open my etsy store and find your common sense refreshing over the myriad of etsy gurus I've seen. One thing i hope you can answer is if it is better to just jave a general store and focus on listings growth or do niche stores with each focussing on specific topics or products. I've seen videos in favour of each and am curious as to your insight.
Regarding your last advice, you are 101% right, this is relevant for any kind of a platform that you can't control actually. A some point Etsy becomes something not about laptop at Bali sunset but rather about some wild capitalist from the 18 century with no trade unions around :)
Straight for the jugular. Love it. Your strategies are certainly working for me. I have one criticism Nik, your videos aren't long enough. I could listen to you all day 😅
I got so much value from your vid today Nic. But what about those of us who are at the mercy of possible future shop suspensions or shut downs? (I have 300 sales in almost 3 years and seems like business has slowed right down. I took your tip about aiming to spend 1 hr per day on my etsy shop) have no clue how to start my own website (let alone afford one at this time), or to build an email database, if, how and when to hire a VA. Do you have vids for these? It is still an ongoing process of more and more learning for me. I don't do social media as I don't know how, and it is so difficult to get ahead with all the etsy noise that comes at us from all directions. TU 😊
@@etsyconsultant I have avoided a Digital store as word in all the etsy Groups is when your new digital shop is suspended through bots, algorithms, etcet, that current physical stores are affected with no real reason, and for long periods of time? Also etsy does suspend sellers wrongly. In my case it was 3 times when all the new changes were taking place. I am rightfully apprehensive as I don't know how to have any type of set up outside of etsy. Your thoughts would be appreciated. :)
Ever since I stopped worrying about how to fix my etsy store after my sales going down so much… haven’t figured out a replacement for increasing revenue though . Lol. hell of a piece of advice.. make Etsy your smallest piece of your business… coming from a person who charges about $300/hr to consult on Etsy stores… some counter intuitive zen master level stuff
As a new store who is starting to make more consistent sales, I have thought about having my own website so when I gear up on sending leads over from social media they go there and not Etsy. But until I have some revenue coming in consistently to pay for the monthly subscriptions like Adobe products and Canva etc. I don’t want to spend more money. I’m still also working on getting to 100 listings. I’m on 22 today and up to 42 sales!
Hi there thanks for your comment. Great idea, however, please do not direct Social Media traffic to your Etsy store, here's why: th-cam.com/play/PLu6hxyqlfJIr8kA5rGzvd_Cmfx1xnanIQ.html&si=utkTP2BatUdGCfsW
Thank you for this video. I'm currently on 44 listings for my POD shop and I definitely need to concentrate more on listing than the SEO. By the way I can't help but wonder how your book shelf holds all those books? What shape is it? lol
I love to listen to your videos occasionally for a good laugh. The advice is always so funny. I thought this video was going to be the same. Then you gave the advice to make Etsy the smallest piece of your business advice. Whew, finally we agree on something. lol
The last point is legit! That’s why I only started my Etsy shop to test the water and to see if my product works! At the mean time I am designing my own website and drive business to my own shop!
Wow tip number 5 interesting Nick. Have been thinking of opening up my own website for my photography prints alongside my Etsy store for a while. This video has given me the push to open one. on another note, been using your listings tags hack (from "view page source") on other sites, but now doesn't seem to be working, either its me or Etsy has changed something to prevent this.
Hi there David, great to hear. and yes comment, and yes sorry Etsy changed the code, which broke the app. There is a temporary fix, and a permanent one is on its way.
Hi Nik. I am from India and I opened my Etsy store in June 2023. I have had zero sales till now. I try to watch all your videos, follow your instructions and strategies. I am thinking of booking an appointment with you, but frankly, I can't afford it. Currently, $1= 82 Indian Rupees....so its a problem. I really love your videos, because you seem really authentic and know what you are talking about....unlike other Etsy channels who repeat the same information. I hope that I can talk to you one day to make my Etsy store a success. Thanks a lot to you for the videos.
Hi there, thanks for your comment. There is a lot of free advice on this channel, and many ways you can work with me. I also have a 5 minute mini zoom call which is $25, links to my services below: etsy-consultant.com/services/
Wait.. I just watched your SEO in 10 minutes video earlier today and learned a lot. And now I watched this video and you say don’t worry about SEO too much. Which is it? Wanting to open a shop soon and now I’m confused!
Hi Whitney, it is both. The video shows you easily how to produce quality SEO, and when I talk about not worrying about SEO too much it is in the context that Etsy sellers are totally stir crazy about SEO, and spend way too much time on it; when it is not necessary.
Great info again, thank you soooo much. ❤❤❤ After watching your videos I think for my artisan glass jewelry store it's unncecessary a US free shipping guarantee.... I'm based in Eirope. This will not help me in the search 🤨 neither an abandoned chart coupon...
Thank you so much, I watched all your videos and feel new strength and inspiration, I will practice your advice. I don't seem to see a description of how to take a proper image, hope this will be added in the future. Thank you very much for your free sharing, I really put too much time in SEO and it didn't work.
Great video as always especially regarding SEO. I would love my own website, and built several for previous employers. Unfortunately for me, the cost is prohibitive. Maybe one day!
Hi Nick really good content as always, looking forward to see that video about trademark, everyday I see stores selling products with well knowed artists and I dont know how can they do it.
Just starting out at week one. Really got thinking about #5 couse it changed the way I was seing etsy. How do you recommend to build your own website for selling digital products? Maybe someone can share how they are doing it?
Hi, you will need to test the different providers and see which works for you best. Common examples to try are Shopify, Squarespace and Wordpress/Woocommerce.
Etsy might not be able to screw up your website but Google can. And has😂. Yes at the minute I'm mostly on Etsy as I'm quite new and always seem slower that the others. But not going to rely on one source of revenue stream as anything online can change rapidly and we don't know how ai is going to pan out. But need to build up first. I love your clear cut no nonsense approach.
Hi, Great video thank. I deactivated quite a few product sheets to "clean up" but perhaps it wasn't the right method. If a product sheet does not sell during 4 months, should it be better to delete it or should it be reworked? When is it better to delete a product sheet rather than reactivate/rework it?
Hi there, thanks for your comment. It depends on your product. Feel free to book in for a mini zoom call and I can advise: etsy-consultant.com/services/5-minute-zoom-consultation/

i have a question, so when opening up a new store and we post a listing right, do we have to wait awhile then post another listing? or can we post as much of listing as we want as a new store?
Hi, list 1 item per day, keep it slow and steady. I urge you to watch all my videos, for your benefit, I explain all this in detail. Specifically watch this video: th-cam.com/video/4GrTnCReu2c/w-d-xo.html
Etsy is my biggest and only piece. Ugh. Booked a conference with you. Would love to start own website. Where do I start? Shoptify? Freelancer? Any videos on the topic would be lovely!
Great video as always! Question: do you think it’s ok to switch the type of art you sell , or just start a new store? I’d like to keep the sales I have, but when people look at the reviews they can see the old items I’ve sold. Thanks!
I don’t mind as a customer if there are old items. It just shows the quality of your work anyway and all reviews are about you, your items and your customer service. But if you’re changing to a totally different area (f.e. from handmade baby dolls to digital marketing templates) I would make a new store….
My shop is 6 months old. My coversion rate is good, over 5%. I have 30 listings on 1,2&3rd page of search results so I think my SEO is good. I have experimented with ads to try and get more views but as a digital creator profit is small per listing so ad spend costs more then it benifits me. Any advice to increase views?

Helpful Video as Always, #5 a big eye opener for me. My shops not new but do you think your 'New Store Checklist' could be helpful? I don't really have specific questions right now, but I think I need my own website. Thanks!
Hi Frank if you mean solely a website, then January would be good, because you have the whole year ahead to get items in to the store, and for search engines to index everything, get it all bedding down before Q4 hits.
Would it be feasible or ethical for you to suggest a good website for us to build? Or maybe which ones are not good. And should we name our own shop by the same name as our etsy shop? Thanks again.
It all depends on your business and what is right for you, there are plenty of sites like Shopify, Wix, Squarespace and so on; but you have to research them and see what fits for you.
Hello Nick, I started my store two weeks ago and uploaded 200+ listings. I got no sales yet and not many views/ visits. As a recently single mom, I need to jump-start my store to make it bring sales ASAP. Since it's been only two weeks, do I need to just wait and keep uploading, before scheduling a consultation with you, or what would you suggest? Thank you! Lili
Hi there, thanks for your comment Lili. Unfortunately uploading so many items in a short space of time will have a negative effect on your store. Please book in for a call: etsy-consultant.com/services/30-minute-zoom-consultation/
Good stuff Nick. Hey, tell Louise to take the Castrol can off of her listing picture for "120cm x 22cm Wooden Rustic Shelving". There have been instances where trademarked items were sitting in the background of someone listing pictures (the person has the video on TH-cam), and the listing was pulled for infringement. Just a heads up. To clear up any questions people might have. I believe this person was selling shirts, and in the background were Nike shoes (or something to that effect), and the listing was pulled and she got a notice.
The last Tipp is interesting. My perception is that Lou is 150% relying on the Etsy store for her income. So I will watch what happens in the future. I AM A BIT DISAPPOINTED WITH THE Lou online shop sharing. I feel pulling it off all by herself , is tough and so far I don t See much reflection of consult Andy, besides setting up the basic store framework. I expected more insight and progress in the actual consulting sessions. But both are maybe busy with stuff 😅.

You talk a lot of sense and I love your channel, but the SEO isn’t important bit is bad advice, Etsy, it’s a search engine. SEO is absolutely vital for any search engine. It’s not the only important thing but it’s definitely at the top.
Thanks for your reply Jon, I understand where you are coming from. Allow me to expand: In my 8 years of building thousands of stores, SEO is bottom of the pile for succeeding on Etsy, as long as your keywords are descriptive, product relevant and you use all title and tag space, that's basically all there is to it. SEO is at it's most important for new stores, that is definitely true, but this importance even at this stage should not be overstated (which everybody does because everyone is affiliated with Etsy SEO companies - I am one of the very few who isn't!). I'm not saying SEO doesn't have a place, of course it does, what matters is understanding where that place is, and how much time you should be spending on it. Etsy is moving away from keywords, and moving in to suggestion, recommendation and heuristic discovery (x-walk). Etsy surfaces products with no keyword matches at all. It will also be working more heavily on video and live streaming in the future, none of this uses SEO.
Hi, and thanks for your comment, yes I would write the questions down, I can have a very quick look at your store whilst we are talking, link to book is below: etsy-consultant.com/services/5-minute-zoom-consultation/

Great video, especially the last point. Regarding SEO, I've had my suspicions that it matters less and less these days across all platforms. Etsy knows what your product is about. There are no magic tags that will get you discovered more. The best thing to do is focus on in-demand products + thumbnails + customer service.
Well said!

Hi there, you are very welcome.
These are the real advice I have been searching for, because so much of the things that people talk about on videos don't make sense Thank you for that!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for that Nik. Great tips, especially number 5! At the moment, as it's early days, my Etsy store, website, separate store etc are all on equal footing regarding their positions, simply because they're all in the process of being built from the ground up. However, as time goes on, it's good to remember that tip 👌
Thanks Lesley, let me know how it's going in a few months.

Hi there, so true!
#5 is definitely an eye-opener. Thanks for the continuous tips, Nik!
Glad it was helpful!
About tip #5 at the very end: yes, I was wondering about that when I first saw the video and started watching. I'm glad you mentioned it.
Glad it was helpful!
Great question, please book a free call with me and we can go from there:

I am currently building a 7 stream revenue funnel, Etsy is just one small part of it. When all 7 streams are generating which builds the foundation for scalability, I will be adding another additional 3 membership components. But before that can happen, I need to get the rest of the streams flowing which will provide proof of concept to my community and clients to invest in what I have to offer. You are by far the best Etsy guru I have listened too, I will be in touch for a consultation soon enough. Thank you...
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Would love to work with you, please please do not direct traffic to your Etsy store. Links below for how you can work with me:

Yes, I do not plan on sending traffic to my Etsy store through my main website, I am kind of keeping them separate as they are 2 completely different target audience pipelines. I will be in touch at some-point soon, I already have your website bookmarked 🙂@@etsyconsultant
Your a hidden gem Nick. Thank you for sharing the important stuff. You are a real breath of fresh air :)
My pleasure!
As usual, excellent advices! The final one was a slap in the face (Etsy is my main source of revenue!!) I need to get started.
Hi there, thanks you! Go for it!
Great how honest you talk about your experience with Etsy- very helpful, thanks for that
You are so welcome!
This was very helpful. Thank you for sharing (I just joined your channel fam).
Thanks for the sub
Wow Nik, thank you for that last tip! I only wanted to open an Etsy store before this but not even 1 whole month of opening my ne Etsy shop, it was suspended and has been for a while now and I've been waiting for the appeal decision, but I could not physically just sit around doing nothing for almost 2 weeks. So I decided to start up my own website and start researching how to do social media marketing and SEO to drive traffic to my website. I'm still waiting for the appeal decision but even if I get my shop back, it will not be the main piece of my financial pie haha, I will definitely put much more effort into my website.
Hi there, thanks for watching. Wishing you all the best!
Damn! Facts! I knew it, etsy controls it. Thank you so much! New subscriber here

Hi there, thanks for your comment! and you are welcome!
I've been following your series with Lou's woodwork shop, and wonder what happened there...? When are we seeing an update?
Hi, Lou is focusing on more important business at the moment, and the series will return when she is ready, thanks!
Thanks!

Hi there, thanks for your comment, this video should answer your question:

Thanks. Needed to hear your last tip. I need to put lots more time into my blogs. They bring in more $ than my Etsy shop.
Glad it was helpful!
Regarding your last advice, you are 101% right, this is relevant for any kind of a platform that you can't control actually. A some point Etsy becomes something not about laptop at Bali sunset but rather about some wild capitalist from the 18 century with no trade unions around :)
I advise everyone to have other methods to sell on apart from Etsy, who knows when it will end!
Your videos have been quite enlightening! So glad I found you!
Hi there, thank you!
Straight for the jugular. Love it.
Your strategies are certainly working for me.
I have one criticism Nik, your videos aren't long enough. I could listen to you all day 😅
Hi there Gloria! Thank you for the feedback!
I got so much value from your vid today Nic. But what about those of us who are at the mercy of possible future shop suspensions or shut downs? (I have 300 sales in almost 3 years and seems like business has slowed right down. I took your tip about aiming to spend 1 hr per day on my etsy shop)
have no clue how to start my own website (let alone afford one at this time), or to build an email database, if, how and when to hire a VA. Do you have vids for these? It is still an ongoing process of more and more learning for me. I don't do social media as I don't know how, and it is so difficult to get ahead with all the etsy noise that comes at us from all directions. TU 😊
Hi, thanks. Why would your store be suspended? As long as you are following TOS you will be fine.
Hi, thanks for your comment. Believe it or not, I am currently in the process of following my own advice!
Great idea, however, please do not direct Social Media traffic to your Etsy store, here's why:

Great to hear! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this video. I'm currently on 44 listings for my POD shop and I definitely need to concentrate more on listing than the SEO. By the way I can't help but wonder how your book shelf holds all those books? What shape is it? lol
Hi there, it's called a bookworm and an S shape.

I thought this video was going to be the same. Then you gave the advice to make Etsy the smallest piece of your business advice. Whew, finally we agree on something. lol

Great idea!!
It's great to hear than SEO doesn't matter much! But how, then, do shoppers find my products? How would Etsy know when to recommend my products?
Hi there, thanks for your comment. This is what I teach!

Hi Nick really good content as always, looking forward to see that video about trademark, everyday I see stores selling products with well knowed artists and I dont know how can they do it.
Hi there, yes, until they get caught.
So entertaining and accurate as always.🙏
Thanks Lisa
Etsy might not be able to screw up your website but Google can. And has😂. Yes at the minute I'm mostly on Etsy as I'm quite new and always seem slower that the others. But not going to rely on one source of revenue stream as anything online can change rapidly and we don't know how ai is going to pan out. But need to build up first. I love your clear cut no nonsense approach.
@KernowFay Where did you get your Cornish flag icon please?
Hi there, yes Google can be a problem. Great to hear your thoughts.
What is important to include in your photos for print for demand, I got framed pictures, should I post all different sizes?
Yes, posting different sizes is helpful, some POD companies have this as a download.
should we build a brand on etsy then slowly move on the creating our own website? since there are more costs in creating a website
Hi, build your Etsy store, prove business viability, and then open your website as soon as you can, that is my advice.
what do you think of running ads at a loss to build up sales so you can rank high on Etsy and get organic sales
Hi, this does not work because the ads algorithm and organic algorithm do not cross populate
so for organic ranking Etsy only cares about organic sales @@etsyconsultant
Hi, Great video thank.
I deactivated quite a few product sheets to "clean up" but perhaps it wasn't the right method.
If a product sheet does not sell during 4 months, should it be better to delete it or should it be reworked? When is it better to delete a product sheet rather than reactivate/rework it?
Hi give all products a year.

I'm wondering the same, and how to go about driving traffic to your own site.
Hi, yes you can, platforms like Shopify support this.
Shopify is a good example of a platform that does this. Traffic gets driven with organic SEO and paid advertizing; it is not easy I must stress this.

Hi, I look forward to speaking to you, maybe I already have!
Hi, you should be fine doing that, it all depends on whether the market likes your new art.
Yes, if the product is completely different, then you may end up opening a new store, lots of factors at play here.

Thanks!
Hi there thanks for the comment. The new store checklist is a good guide to see if you have met the basic points.
When's a good time / amount of listings, to start a store website?
Hi Frank if you mean solely a website, then January would be good, because you have the whole year ahead to get items in to the store, and for search engines to index everything, get it all bedding down before Q4 hits.
Would it be feasible or ethical for you to suggest a good website for us to build? Or maybe which ones are not good. And should we name our own shop by the same name as our etsy shop? Thanks again.
It all depends on your business and what is right for you, there are plenty of sites like Shopify, Wix, Squarespace and so on; but you have to research them and see what fits for you.
@@etsyconsultant Thank you

Good stuff Nick. Hey, tell Louise to take the Castrol can off of her listing picture for "120cm x 22cm Wooden Rustic Shelving". There have been instances where trademarked items were sitting in the background of someone listing pictures (the person has the video on TH-cam), and the listing was pulled for infringement. Just a heads up.
To clear up any questions people might have. I believe this person was selling shirts, and in the background were Nike shoes (or something to that effect), and the listing was pulled and she got a notice.

You dont need a permission to own multiple stores
Hi there, thanks for your comment. You don't need permission however you need to provide a link the other shop in both shops.
Allow me to expand:
In my 8 years of building thousands of stores, SEO is bottom of the pile for succeeding on Etsy, as long as your keywords are descriptive, product relevant and you use all title and tag space, that's basically all there is to it.
If I do the 5 minute consultation, would you recommend writing down the questions I have and also, do you look at our shop during the consult?
Hi, and thanks for your comment, yes I would write the questions down, I can have a very quick look at your store whilst we are talking, link to book is below:
