遥か昔のエジプト精神 - Spirits of Ancient Egyptは1975年に発表されたウイングスのアルバム『ヴィーナス・アンド・マース』（ Venus and Mars）に収録されています。ウイングス名義としては、1971年の『ワイルド・ライフ』
以来4年ぶりとなりました。
ジミー・マカロック（ギター）が加入し、5人体制で制作されたウイングス
4枚目のアルバム。レコーディング開始から間もなくジェフ・ブリトン（ドラムス）が脱退し、後任としてジョー・イングリッシュが加入。
主にニューオーリンズとロサンゼルスでレコーディングが行われ、
ライブを強く意識した構成になっている。ニューオーリンズでのレコーディングは、アラン・トゥーサンが所有するシー・セイント・スタジオで行われ、トゥーサンもレコーディングにゲスト参加した。
「遥か昔のエジプト精神」では今は亡きデニー・レインがリード・ヴォーカルを担当。
Spirits of Ancient Egypt is featured on Wings' 1975 album Venus and Mars. Under the Wings name, ``Wild Life'' was released in 1971.
It's been 4 years since then.
Wings was created by a five-member team with the addition of Jimmy McCulloch (guitar).
His fourth album. Shortly after recording began, Jeff Britton (drums) left the group and was replaced by Joe English.
Recorded primarily in New Orleans and Los Angeles.
It is structured with a strong focus on live performance. Recording in New Orleans took place at Sea Saint Studio, owned by Allen Toussaint, who also appeared as a guest on the recording.
The late Denny Lane is in charge of lead vocals on " Spirit of ancient Egypt." - เพลง
