A game against NZ in Cape Town is never a 100% home game. Lots of support for the All Blacks here. But either way here’s hoping we are in for some quality rugby!
Fair call on the Boks being favorites, especially with those two games against the ABs at home. I would have thought the odds would have been a little closer, though. I could see the ABs picking up a game in the republic, and I could also see the Boks tripping up in Oz. Should be a great series.
As a Springbok fan we are indeed underdogs here. We don't play so well in Australia for some reason 😂 and any game againts the All Blacks is too close to call.
It’s not just The Championship that’s up for grabs, the All-Blacks could potentially go back to the number one spot in the world rankings, and the Springboks won’t want to give that up. Cheers for the review! I don’t think the wallabies are going to be suddenly turned around so I still think they’ll struggle against the other 3 teams. The winner could be either ABs or Boks with pretty good chances for both 🤷🏽♀️
@@nepiahemopo1702 I wouldn't say fluke artists but yes I would love to see us win a lot more matches between WCs and win convincingly like the All Blacks did in their peak years from 2007 to 2015
TRC is ABs competition, BUT this is South Africa’s best chance, they play ABs at home, try to get 1 win down under then make sure they get maximum points against the Argies.
How often have the Springboks beat NZ twice in a series? Actually, a couple times (2009, 1998, 1976 and more). Possible, for sure - but likely? I hope so!
All Blacks need to tidy up their line outs. I think Sam Darry is our best line out option. Darry destroyed Va’ai in the line outs during the Super rugby final. If the All Blacks can tidy up their line outs they will win this Rugby Championship.
Its just Codie Taylor our main hooker who needs to retire that is causing most of our lineout problems. He very nearly lost us both games against England and he is 33 so defiantly not capable of making it to another world cup plus there are plenty of other hookers and believe Asafo Aumua should be our main hooker he knows how to throw lineouts and knows how to run and score tries. He pretty much knows how to do everything on a rugby field. There is plenty of other players that can still play very good rugby while they are also very experience I don't see why Codie Taylor needs to still be on the field wearing a All Blacks jersey.
You are right about All Blacks needing to tidy up their lineouts but they also gotta be careful with their discipline and make sure they can kick their penalties and conversations over when they play South Africa
Any game between the AB’s and the Bokke is something to look forward to! Both teams will have two games to get ready for the face off. That said, discounting the Aussies and the Pumas is just silly. Let the Northern Hemisphere take note, South is where the rugby power lies. I still think the AB’s are the true favorites.
Thank you for the review. Enjoy your day. Cheers from Durban. Hope Springboks win but NZ always good and Springboks do not have good record in AUS. Springboks need to win both games in AUS.
Boks, as in Springboks. Not difficult. Maybe you don't understand the meaning of the word? The "Box" is a square or rectangular container, the Springboks / Boks are the South African National rugby team. The Springbok is our national animal. Spelling matters. I can always start referring to your team as the "all blocks / all bleaks / all blanks" I guess, which do you prefer?
Rassie's record in Australia is poor [often experimenting with his line up] and I think after the Ireland 1-1, he wants a couple of wins. In recent years, the Boks haven't put a lot of points on teams with their grinding style, but they have T.Brown on board now to up the flair factor so they are going to be looking to score more tries - a real stress test for new WB defensive systems. Keeping within 20 in each match might be a realistic ambition. The rankings show that there isn't that much between the Wallabies and Pumas but the Wallabies will really be doing well to win one of their matches in Argentina. It isn't an easy place to tour. As for the Bledisloe matches. Unless there is a mass outbreak of food poisoning in the AB's camp, I think the big sliver mug will be staying just where it is (for now). Again, the realistic ambition for the Wallabies is to avoid getting blown out. The bottom two spots could easily be Argentina and Australia on one win each. The two SA vs. AB matches should decide the title. SA will have home advantage. It will be interesting to see if Robertson's coaching crew and players find a way to win.
Historically the All Blacks have almost always dominated in this comp, even during the years where we haven't done so well we managed to come out on top. With two away games at South Africa (and given their recent performances) I think South Africa has a decent shot at it this time around.. but they have to be consistent and not lose to Australia or Argentina either.
That was then. This is now... Now, you face the Back-to-Back RWC holders; and in South Africa, too.... When was the last time Any team went there and did that?
To be honest, I'm not a fan of the 2 tests scenario, but I think it was the same as last year? If the AB's win one test in SA, I'll be happy, but the Saffa's are firm favourites to win the Championships.
Probably one of the more open ended Championships in quite a while. I would back the New Zealanders and wouldn't at all be surprised if the Aussies finish 2nd. I think NZ will treat their trip to SA as a must win (at least one game) and the Boks havnt done well Down Under. Trips to Argentina are no push over either.
SA definite favorites. Rassie has right mind set of winning between world cups. It's good for NZ to finally test what they have and if the team selection is working. Arg always a dark horse. I say SA wins every game. Based on their squad and experience I can't see them losing and yes they lost to Ireland but they didn't play at 100% and they played in Durban which is a terrible ground for boks. The only game that NZ could potentially win is in Cape Town as they have a local fan base they might feel at home with the crowd. Anyways looking forward to this more that keen to see it Aus are improving and how the NZ team is building.

@@ManaBlack208 I know but also history says they always play at night agaisnt australia but now during the day. but without history God says they will win both. mark my words
If the boks don't win the competition that sounds be an underachievement. They have the best squad, best coach, top of the world rankings, world cup champions, most settled squad with room to try some new exciting debutants. There's literally no way they can claim an underdog tag. ABs have been weak more recently and have a new coach, lost the last two to the boks and are building. They literally just have to embrace the best in the world tag, don't make excuses and play like you're the best. Go for the win.
The Secret Sauce the All Blacks once had, Is now past it's use by date. They're not vulnerable because they're bad, they're vulnerable because everyone else has improved. There trademark cloak of invincibility no longer works & their glow of dominance has faded. Argentina will win again.
Spring Boks lost their last game as the English said the bark doesn't match their bite already have lost as RWC Champions has to be a record I see more losses to the ABs & Australia & If The Elements are right Argentina could possibly hook a win as SA are more hype than anything they lost a couple wks ago & believe they are favorites I predict ABs win the championship easy
I think the AB's are a much better chance of winning in SA than the Boks in NZ. But as an AB supporter I like the challenge, its very doable and winning over there will be some achievement. it is interesting watching the media with Razor and everyone doating on him. Because he doesn't speak very well and hes not very articulate. He seems to mumble and has a simple vocabulary. The media have really been giving him the soft intro.
The media are a...holes .Why worry about them !They talk💩💩💩 anyway!! What has a speech impediment got to do with how good a coach is??? ALL N.Zealanders should give him a chance to settle in and not expect miracles! *Like we South Africans have done with RASSIE ERASMUS 🐐😊
The All Blacks are not the favourites I’ll admit it that our Rivals are but NZ have won this Tournament 20 times and S.A have only won it 4 times so history is definitely on our side but the way our team are playing right now I don’t believe we can beat the Springboks just yet
The Bokke are favourites this year, in my opinion. 🤔But hey! If we can beat Rugby Juggernauts on their patch with our relatively tiny nucleus of rugby players you sure can😉🏴☠☘
You give way too much credit for the boks remember kiwis are currently the defending champs four times in a row they go all out in this competition now the boks on the other hand thinks rugby championship is just a test(build-up) they regard the world cup as the final exam
The All blacks are a decent bet. I hope Rassie takes this RC seriously. I don't mind them blooding new talent, but not at the expense of the RC. When they changed the team after winning against NZ at Mbombela I was not happy at all, and we paid the price. I hope Rassie learned from it. Also, these two new assistant coaches have not proven themselves yet, in fact, I have my doubts about them.
Yeah I agree totally SA lost at home already They're not as good as everyone thinks the RWC is long gone new year new team better coaches for the ABs,they'll defend their title
I find myself in the weird position as an England fan of supporting NZ or Australia or Argentina. I think NZ are favorites, they have a scrum that can get atleast parity against SA and I just can't stand SA media fans coaches and sadly a few of the players now. C'mon the kiwis
ABs will win it again,SA lost at home this year not as good as people think,SA will lose 1 in Australia and ABs will win both games against the argies and at least 1 in SA,ABs to take it once again SA are hopeless in-between world cups.
Yes the Kiwis are by far the favorites. The Boks are still hamstrung by poor selection strategy and clear political influence in selection. The Boks selecting Kolisi and Mbonambi as first choice is astounding given that both players are not on form. Kolisi has not been on form in years and Mbonambi has had some really poor games this year, not least of which was the 2nd test against Ireland where his line out throwing and general play was poor. The backline and lock backup looks paper thin. Moerat as a Bok lock ? Again a political selection. The guy is average at best. No natural replacement for De Allende at 12. No real units in backline which is worrying considering that we have lightweight wings. No real 8 in team. Poor selection again and it brings back memories of how not selectiNG a specialist 3rd hooker in the WC almost cost SA the WC Selections all wrong.
@@Alias-gy3tz pretty much the same issue.Selection. Going into a WC with only 2 specialist 10s with Libbock being out of his depth really as an international 10. No idea why they persist with the guy when there are plenty of other options.

If they can end their losing streak on Australian soil, yes
Unbeaten my ass they've already lost at home they're not as good as people are saying
@@ManaBlack208well I'll say they are beatable but can beat anyone
R. S. A. your only man
This is the first test of the rankings wrt the Southern Hemisphere sides, having said that, who puts much store in the rankings, you are only ever as good as your last game
NZ has won it a lot more than anyone else. Got to think they are favorites. But boks can do it this year.
Prophecy for the Rugby Championship. Springboks will win their first 4 matches and lose the 5th round match to the Argentinians. They will ultimately win the Rugby Championship. You will say i told you so
History says they will lose at least 1 game to Australia this weekend and ABs will win it
@@ManaBlack208 I know but also history says they always play at night agaisnt australia but now during the day. but without history God says they will win both. mark my words
@TwoCentsRugby we're underdogs 😂😂❤️🇿🇦
NZ have won 10/11 Rugby championships or 20/28 combined tri-nations titles. Put your money on Nz
The world champions S,B's are the favorites
All blacks own all those teams
Especially in the worldcup final 😁
The ref owned that
I think the SA have the easier draw since they are the ABs at home
Trivia- ABs play both their first and last game in Wellington
Ah nice one - although or record there isn't quite Eden Park level aye
@TwoCentsRugby hasn't it been a while since we've beaten a team in Wellington?
I know we lost and drew with SA there, we lost to the British and Irish Lions there....
The Secret Sauce the All Blacks once had, Is now past it's use by date. They're not vulnerable because they're bad, they're vulnerable because everyone else has improved. There trademark cloak of invincibility no longer works & their glow of dominance has faded. Argentina will win again.
All Blacks are always favorites, pal
Would not be surprised if we win both matches in SA
Hooray finally someone with a brain exactly 💯 bruv I can see it too
It’s going to be interesting! Go wallabies. Hope NZ can get revenge for the World Cup
Hopefully the early Joe magic can keep on with the Wallabies too
The Bokke don’t do well being the favourites 😂 we thrive best if we feel it’s going to be a struggle
SA must be favored because they play NZ at home and NZ will struggle with the line out against the SA monster locks.
You can still win without winning your lineouts SA already lost at home
ABs all day at those odds
I've got the all blacks as favourites
Yeah absolutely 💯 history is on their side and SA lost at home already this year they're not that good
@@ManaBlack208true that brother
Pumas will give a good fight
The only way the Springboks can beat All Blacks is giving them a BS red card
If NZ can win one game in SA they will take the silver ware ..... All Black's all day 🇳🇿👍
Yeah exactly 💯 which they will possibly both games SA ain't as good as people think they've already lost at home this year
Bokke❤
I think SA will win. But NZ are a massive treat
Disagree they can't even beat Ireland at home
@@ManaBlack208 Yes, that was pretty scandalous. Back to the old style.
@ManaBlack208 It was a draw... NZ couldn't beat Ireland at home (Lost series)... Argentina enters the chat 😅
boks don't like being favorites. Oh no
The Bokke are favourites this year, in my opinion. 🤔But hey! If we can beat Rugby Juggernauts on their patch with our relatively tiny nucleus of rugby players you sure can😉🏴☠☘
we lost to argentina under foster. Never forget. The foster error. Purposeful spelling there.
Yeah that game was quite the letdown after his bloody job had just been saved
Foster didn't need a beast mode Barrett to save them in Eden Park
@@kokorice123 its the all blacks mate. Beauden is an all black. Fostee needed better selection his entire campaign
Yeah Fozzie got lucky there
Foster is gone ya muppet stop having wet dreams about him ABs will win it again as always
Favourites***
You give way too much credit for the boks remember kiwis are currently the defending champs four times in a row they go all out in this competition now the boks on the other hand thinks rugby championship is just a test(build-up) they regard the world cup as the final exam
Yeah the bookies make the odds, but yeah you gotta wonder if NZ are a decent bet here
The All blacks are a decent bet.
Hell nah, ABs are not favourites.
ABs will win it as always
I think SA will only win one against each team. Typical Rassie. 50% win rate.
Sounds about right...
I find myself in the weird position as an England fan of supporting NZ or Australia or Argentina. I think NZ are favorites, they have a scrum that can get atleast parity against SA and I just can't stand SA media fans coaches and sadly a few of the players now. C'mon the kiwis
Ah cmon where is filji
Fiji play in the Pacific Nations Cup and "Sanzy" hasn't brought them into the TRC yet unfortunately.
I RECKON!
They're still in the US licking their wounds They're not good enough to be in the TRC
ABs will win it again,SA lost at home this year not as good as people think,SA will lose 1 in Australia and ABs will win both games against the argies and at least 1 in SA,ABs to take it once again SA are hopeless in-between world cups.
I hope you didnt bet your house on that 😂
@Blindside_Flanker Yeah I did currently homeless 😪
It was NOT selecting Handre Pollard from the start that almost cost us the World Cup.
@@Alias-gy3tz pretty much the same issue.Selection. Going into a WC with only 2 specialist 10s with Libbock being out of his depth really as an international 10. No idea why they persist with the guy when there are plenty of other options.
