Neither of the guys asked a teki question - what is the "footman loop" purpose, along with the nut anchor, holding tension on different strings to keep them in tune...? I like the neatly tucked wind on those pegs - well done!
Yea spending the 30k or wherever it was for these is bonkers considering if you really wanted too you could make your own close enough “tribute” for under 1,000.
Nothing about any of the Alembic mods? Nothing about the electronics? The original had a modified Alembic stratoblaster. This luthier gave us nothing for specs.
Yeah because Rick Rick Turner, Ron Wickersham, and Alembic guitars had nothing to do with that guitar. Fender sure loves scrubbing the truth from history.
No they're not that good or even close. Did you see the Terry Kath Tele, the relic was awful white relic marks on the fingerboard look so new and unlike any real wear.
The owner brings it to shows and lets people play it. I work with a dead cover band and our lead guitarist got to play alligator at a show in Menlo Park, Ca
I take it John isn’t a fan of Jerry. Sad. He seems to almost be mocking the importance of this instrument, and the musician who played it. So many guitarists overlook the genius of Garcia. They would be lucky to “get it”.
It’s wood and wire that’s it! When all the parts have me manufactured a trained monkey could assemble it. Fender and Gibson continue to make instruments that don’t warrant their price tag. Absolutely ridiculous, I own a Rory Gallagher Custom shop Stratocaster it’s so far from the original it’s beyond belief. It’s that poor I’m selling it, can’t wait to get rid if the fecking thing! Spunking over a sticker! 🤣🤣🤡🤡 pure comedy.

I love this guitar 🎸 - my Squier classic vibe 50s strat gets close enough to this tone under $500

This is soo amazing! I always hoped things like this would happen to Jerry's guitars.
I would love to play that guitar, I’m waiting for McIntosh to do a limited release of the Wall of Sound 🐉💫
Jerry Forever ✌️❤️
That’s amazing that master dude seems really cool. Yeah would have been cool to have seen the take apart and put back together in time lapse.
John was being real funny in this one. “I’ll take your word for it” lol
How did you take the guitar apart and put it back together so quickly!? That’s the process I need to see. Looks amazing🤘🏼❤️
I wish they'd played it!

You could probably like, do a quick google search and find that stuff man.
Now everyone go listen to Alligator
This version is the best! IMO th-cam.com/video/bIAlfoIE9Ic/w-d-xo.html
guitar picks and mini stamps

Sami zayn plays guitar?
Why is John still wearing his safety glasses…
Careful...
It will put your eye out
Gotta wonder if they've ever copied a guitar so exactly they forgot which was the original....

Only gave the dude eight hours when we all know that guitar is probably put up somewhere not being used at all.😂

Dang awesome and pricey Stratocaster £18999😅😅😅
And John's claim to fame is what?
Thanks for telling us absolutely nothing about that guitar ...
Yeah, very odd. I'd sure like to know about the weird brass control plate and bridge, but I guess that info might be available elsewhere
Lol they have no idea what they're doing. They act like these great mysterious luthiers which is so far from the truth. The relicking is atrocious.
One assumes this is a snippet from an upcoming episode, surely?
Man, why don't you go get the exclusive interview on it, and then share it with us.
That rig rundown guy is annoying as hell and seems pretty unqualified for the job.
actually-- "that rig rundown guy" is a nashville ringer who's WAY overqualified for this job. 🤣🤣🤣
Agreed

Ok boomer you should just stick to cheap POS guitars then
@@SOLLisKNOWN Go back to sleep Princess and keep sucking the corporate cock!
What he said...yeah..right right..🥴
Figures Garcia would obviate one of the best features of a Strat with this absurd bridge construction.
