I own two "Abraham Zapruder" cameras. Mine are exactly the same model, etc.. It took me 10 years to find the first one and I had to pay $225 to get it. A few months later I purchased another online in much better shape for only $46! Back 10 years ago one would have to spend $300-$500 to get an exact camera in good working condition. Today the interest has dropped through the floor. I have no idea why. Nice video, I enjoyed it very much.
@@dalehammond1704 well definitely the high end stuff is most in demand right now, I've seen the Canon 1014XLS go for £1000 yesterday. I think a factor too is the reduced availability of standard 8 film stock. You can get amazing Bolex B8 range cameras for a pittance because people think they can't film on them any more whereas super 8 film is a little more available.
I have a fun double exposure in my 8mm home movie collection. It's a close shot of a baby crawling around and a parade that also got exposed on the reel.
Video @ 4:04 "almost exactly the same model" & "otherwise this is identical" - Huh ? - 1. The Zapruder Model 414PD (Power/Dual), didn't have magazine loading (Separate reels). 2. The counter was different (Auto resetting). 3. As you already mentioned, your unit doesn't have the Power Zoom. 4. Next to the film load door latch, was the protruding zoom gearing cover. 5. Zapruder's unit had the Dual Electric Eye feature (A gold colored mini-window in front of the selenium cell) . - - - Sorry, but not even close to "exactly" or "identical" - Same make yes, same model NO. - i.e. Cadillac/Corvette

Thanks! Strange that the asking prices went down. Maybe they align with media events like movies, documentaries, Anniversaries etc.
