Thanks for the review. I've been using the Pellenc cutter on trial for the last few days at the council where I work in Finland. I must've fluked it because the line goes straight through when feeding, no problems at all. It took about 30 seconds to load the line, so I was pretty happy with that. Maybe you've got a dud head (the cutter, that is, not you!)? The only thing I don't really like is the narrow swathe it cuts compared to say, my Husqvarna 2 stroke. I guess it's a small thing but you notice it after you've been using a wider cut head for a long time. Other than that I've been really happy with it. Plenty of power for what work I do on the city lawns and the occasional rough places. I also have found the number two setting to be the most useful, although I do use the number one setting a bit in the high traffic areas and it's just good enough.
Hi Simon, thanks for commenting mate. Yes You do notice the smaller cutting diameter. I noticed that with the Stihl FSA90R battery trimmer as well. It’s a very good trimmer for sure. Stoked its working out for you. Much nicer to use than any petrol trimmer. 👍🏻
😀 Another BEAUT video. As consumers we really are lucky to have such fantastic products to choose from. When it comes to battery machines, I don’t consider the warranty as much as I would a petrol machine, as the units are not really that expensive to purchase. I have had our FSA 130 for about two years and never had an issue with it. Well done on another fantastic video & MAN DID I FEEL YOUR PAIN when you were trying to thread that cord 🤦🏼♂️👍🏻
Yeah we are spoilt for choice these days with our tools really. I agree with the warranty thing, if I get two years out of my machine I'm happy with that and it will have paid for itself many times over. Generally after two years they need upgrading anyway with daily use. Yeah that bloody line feeding is ridiculous lol...! Today I'll mostly be trying to feed line into my trimmer head lol....
Thanks for watching mate and commenting. Theres a lot more to talk about as far as comparisons between the trimmers but this was more of a review of the Pellenc so didn't wont to go too in depth with a comparison. Maybe a future video..?
@@lovelawns awesome, thanks for the reply mate, have you tried the counterweight? Im trying to work out wether its worth saving $ on 260/520 batteries and run everything from backpack which i will already have for the hedger.
@@F15H0 yeah it works well with either the battery in it or the carrying it on your back. Personally I don't like carrying the batteries all the time especially in the heat we get here in the summer and its an inconvenience quite a bit too. You can get the 520 batteries and then use the harness to put them on your back too, very lightweight with just the 520 on your back and doesn't get too hot
New Warranty Terms from Jan 2020, Standard 3yrs Commercial on Tools and Batteries at no additonal cost Thanks again for another great Video, Nice and thourough haha. A few other aftermarket bump feeds will fit this unit.
We will be carrying out some real Run- Time comparisons soon Vs the other major battery players and equivalent batteries. This is also where Pellenc outperforms due to higher efficiency, direct drive setups with no need for external fan cooling allowing ip54 ratings. Pellenc equipment has been adopted in the past by councils, larger corporations and schools where extensive run-time and stop free operation is required with high finger on the trigger usage. Contractor operations can vary widely and the equipment is well suited for Contractors maintaing large scale maintenance jobs, eg around 1-5 jobs a day vs 5-10+. As an example in my past Hedging Business in Sydney, i could be running the hedger for 7-8hrs finger on the trigger runtime and needed to run a minimum 700wh capacity battery to ensure a full days work just with a hedger ( the lowest power consumption Battery tool) Ensure when comparing weights equivalent batteries and capacities (wh) are used ;)

Thank you for the review and honest opinion as yours goes further than most given you are a pro. Nicely done with the side-by-side commentary.

Another brilliant and interesting video Kai. Covered all the areas nicely. 👌
Thanks mate 👍🏻
Great review.
Thank you 👍🏻

Can you use the trimmer with backpack battery as I seen they have a counterweight available?
Yes you can 👍🏻

Hey Troy, good news on the warranty mate and the bump feed head lol
it’s a good thing to remove the battery before to put wire in the cutting head (by safety)
