What a fun time to be alive. I believe you have hang out at thrift stores and be 100% un-embarrassable to be that trendy.
The hair bobbles you had on your wrist in the first outfit, are for curly hair girls. We DO actually use them. At night, we put our hair up in a pineapple with them (top head pony tail) to keep the hairs from getting split up and destroying the curl pattern as we sleep, or to use when working out for the same reason. The spiral style keeps the hair from getting all snapped and split like a regular hair band. So, yes they do get used for hair.
Yup, body suit tucked right into the Guess jeans. I have a pic of me 1st year university. 1994. But there is NO WAY I would look as good as Kim does in THAT look now. 😳

No suggestion for baggy jeans. I'm still stuck on boot cut jeans I used to wear back in the 90s. As a "curvy" Latina woman, I find them to be the most flattering and comfortable for me. I love flare, wide leg, or trouser jeans! They give you a more fitted feel on top with the wide trendy bottom. Torrid has some great ones right now, if you're more on the plus side.
Love the first look except the jeans. The jeans fit you beautifully but just get them in a solid denim (not patches). The second look was awesome except the jeans! Only teenagers can get away with ripped denim, adults should not where them. The last outfit was fantastic! Nice idea and very sweet of your daughter to help you!

I just can't get behind the holes in the jeans, we are suppose to toss them out when they look like that not buy them lol The claw clip I still use all the time, that thing never goes out of style. I use it when doing my hair to hold excess hair out of the way but if I don't want to dry my hair after my shower I use that to shove my hair up on top of my head. I can't live without it. If you still want to check out some straight leg styles, try a slim/straight jean (yes a few exist). Here ere are a few to try (most expensive to least expensive): Some come in cropped: AG Mari, Paige Sarah slim, Citizens of Humanity Olivia, Fidelity Denim Cher, and Gap has slim/straight styles. It easy to understand what teenagers think is in style. Basically to them everything is ugly until they are told by media (social or fashion...etc) that it is so "in" right now and then they can turn around and love it. Validation is root. They follow what validates them to as many people as possible. Same formula in every generation.
What the younger generation fails to understand is that mom and dad jeans are not baggy because of age or style. They are baggy because of the added inches most people put on as they age past the mid 40's. Neither Penn nor Kim need to be wearing baggies. The problem with trendy is that you're not allowed to wear what you like or prefer. You are only allowed to wear what the totalitarian fashion cult dictates. Even when the garment is already worn out and has holes from the factory. Why would anyone buy jeans that are already worn out?

The problem with trendy is that you're not allowed to wear what you like or prefer. You are only allowed to wear what the totalitarian fashion cult dictates. Even when the garment is already worn out and has holes from the factory.
