Awesome ! I had a zoom error issue where the camera shutdown every time I tried to use the zoom at all. After loads of searching it appears this error is common on Panasonic cameras and is caused by sand or dirt particles getting trapped inside the zoom apparatus. Your excellent tear down helped me so much and allowed me to air blow clean my zoom and when put back together it all worked perfectly! Thanks,
It's good of you to put this video up. I have an FZ-70 with a sensor with some dust on it I want to get rid of. This gives me an idea of what to do. I hope you get loads of hits. It's a great camera. I have a full frame camera and an APS-C and have had a Sigma 300mm f2.8 which was great but the reality in many situations is that a bridge camera's fills more pixels with distant objects than much bigger and more expensive gear. The down side is specks of dust on the sensor looks like colonies of e. coli on a slab of room temperature Canadian beef.
Don't use a knife to open the connectors. Use a plastic wedge like a watchmakers knife but made of plastic. Also pay attention to the 400 volt flash circuit. Panasonic has the best engineering I've ever seen for camera repair techs since thier first lumix and beyond.
Thanks, even though I have a different camera this was helpful, more specifically 2:05 I was getting a little frustrated because I never considered screws being hidden under the shoe mount, so I should be able to work on my camera now.
Planning to clean the front element of a FZ300 I can't remove the front lens after removing the 3 screws that should hold it. Is there a trick or should I disassemble the whole camera?
@@SevenFortyOne thanks for the quick response i might get away with just replacing the zoom motor but they cost more than I paid for the 2nd hand FZ200
All you had to do is change the front element of the lens! Graham Houghton has made a video about it on yt. The only thing you had to do was remover the plastic cap that says lumix dc vario and aperture numbers etc on the front of your lens and untighten 3 screws. But it's been 5 years already 😩😅😅
Hi! My microphone in port is canted. I wanna fix it. Is it connected to a pcb and is it relatively easily accessible? It's hard to tell from the video.
I don't remember what it looks like exactly. I think there was a screw holding it in place and some sort of metal bracket or something. I also reasonably sure it was soldered directly to a flex PCB. If you do a google search you can find the service manual which may have some diagrams that show it. Also, check eBay for pictures of the various parts people are selling. Maybe one of thier pictures will show you what you need to see. Good Luck!
SevenFortyOne Thanks for the fast reply! My fingers were itchy so I took it apart in the meanwhile. Of course, it was underneath everything so I had to take everything out. That was literally the last part in the frame. Now I'll try a GH1 that I have and that doesn't power on. That's a much harder task.
Auto zoom doesn't respond to a cockaroch in the lens...it relys on diaphram position zoom position and back focus. Your problem is with the power diaphram unit or connector...or the lens motor drive unit and accessories.
Hi i need to clean my lens of fz35. How can i do it without disassembling? I saw this video (th-cam.com/video/FSQOGo01Rv4/w-d-xo.html) but it doesn't seem to be the same way. Thanks a lot.

I wasn't so lucky with mine but glad yours is working now!
Thanks very much for this. It enabled me to replace the on/off switch assembly.

The same goes here, also have dust on my FZ72 sensor.

Hello buddy.
Do you know where I can find this part for a DMC-FZ62?

Hi there great video. Do you know how difficult it is to get to the in camera mic?
I have a Panasonic DMC-FZ10PP, would you recomend to use it for Instagram videos and if so what other attachments should I use with it.
I don't know anything about Instagram...I've never been on that site
where can i watch the next part as I have a FZ200 that needs a lens replacement and wanted to see if you were succesfull
If the link isn't in the description then search my channel for fz150...I was able to replace the lens but it didn't work correctly afterwards.

hello can you tell me what kind of screwdriver (size&head type) do you use for this type of screws? thanks
Thanks so much. Just needed to replace the flex cable...
there are tear down manuals online for these Lumix bridge cameras--FZ150 and FZ200. They are easier to take apart than they are to put back together.
... FZ150 and FZ200 ;-)
right
