With the knob sticking out that much, is it prone to accidental clicks and accidental volume change? I am indifferent to knob vs buttons so long as knob is recessed. I could hear in the review that it is ratcheting. So, hopefully, no accidental volume change.
I love the R3II but I don't like the fact that the vol knob is also the power/screen on and off button. I'm always accidentally turning on the screen and pressing buttons on the screen while fiddling with it in my pocket. I wish there was a dedicated power button on the top and keep the knob exclusively for volume control. Another thing that I wish they would fix with a software update is the volume controls on screen when you turn the knob. While the volume UI is on screen you can't interact with the screen. You have to wait for it to go away or tap the screen to dismiss it. This leads to accidental touches if you can't time your taps right.
About that Bluetooth, let's say I want to use it with my smartphone and my smart TV at the same time, can it be done ?!? It is very nice that both ports (3.5+4.4mm jacks) are balanced, but also it would have been nice for the charging USB type C port to be able to connect a USB type C in ear headset from smartphones !!!

Ian, could you please advise 4.4 mm IEM's for this under 150? Tried it with 1More Triple Driver but didn't like the sound, too sharp, too upfront voice... While with much more budget Mechen M30 1More sound perfect for my ears. Thank you!

Jokes apart do you know about the file limit these days have? Because many mention that there is a 20,000 songs as someone who has more than that amount it worries me. Alsothis dap uses the x1000 rather than the x2000 processor

@@josephyeung8732 tbh I would be completely happy to pay for that x2000. I would pay extra for the x2000, I know hiby has consider profiting how well it will sell but still. Also one thing the hiby lacks is which I found is the audiobook mode. I probably would have bought it if it had that like the shanling m1s. Although I guess they could add this via an update.
Would probably wait though as I want to see what small scale reviewers think on this and independent buyers think 😅 some times some quirky things are mentioned by small youtubers or buyers which many big ones fail to mention. Like the audiobook mode as someone who consumers a lot of audiobook I would love a device with that feature, may I will email hiby and say that 😂.

Do you know something about the database limit, i.e. what is the maximum number of songs you can get in the database? As far I know, until now most small DAPs have limit of 20.000 songs, only Android ones don't have that.

La mia collezione di file musicali è di 23600, per 169 Gb, e col mio attuale Hidizs AP80 Pro-X ne potevo vedere al massimo 20000, gli altri file, pur presenti nella Micro SD, non li vedeva, dovevo andarmeli a cercare nelle cartelle. Spero che il limite di 50000 sia vero, perché credo che lo comprerò. Diversamente farò il reso perché la qualità del suono dell’Hidizs AP80 Pro-X è senz’altro sullo stesso livello.

I got mine today and am disappointed not in the quality or the sound quality but... I bought this because I listen to long lectures in MP3 that are each a couple of hours long. My iBasso Audio keeps my place in my lecture when I turn off the player, so when I turn it back on I am right where I left off. I got this player to be a take on the go work player so my expensive iBasso Audio player doesn't get lost or damaged and it does not book mark or stop and recover from where I left off in the lecture. As a music player I'm sure it's fine but for my purposes it is a paperweight. Maybe I will see if one of my kids want it.
