Drink every time Lachy says he hates a certain type of injury 😂
Just hand and knife... so you'd still be drunk hahah
And we’re just getting started. You’re going to witness SUCH a variety in the seasons ahead 😂
I actually think losing a finger is one of the least painful hand injuries, because it will only hurt at the edge thats still there.
Or when he says “Shut the FUCK up!” 🇨🇦
@@lachyywhite This show is going to unlock new injury-type fears in you 😂
Badass fact about Tywin Lannister's introduction scene: That's a real deer, It was literally the actor's FIRST time skinning a deer after being taught how, he got it done in the FIRST TAKE without breaking character, he NAILED his lines, and the assistants said he did a pretty much PERFECT skinning job too. He didn't hesitate or flinch once, it was quick and clean, like a professional. Charles Danse is an absolute legend. One of my favorite scenes in the show, based on this fact alone. That scene would take most actors at LEAST a couple days, and probably would end up being an edit of multiple takes.
That’s awesome I’m a huge fan and did not know this
Got to love symbolism here of him skinning the Baratheon sigil animal.
Nahhh that so badass
Im a biology student, i have only ever skinned a rat, but ive shared a lab with people who skinned a deer for dissection. The stench was palpable. The hard part about skinning are the legs, where you have to navigate weird angles and loose the skin off the body. The torso isnt really complicated to skin, but to imagine this without gloves makes me so nervous. Finding out i was good at skinning animals was a weird experience, to be good at something that you dont enjoy a little bit is confusing.
@@robinmatz6686 I have no idea how he did it.. I would still be impressed even if he did a BAD job skinning it. Because how do you keep that composure and confidence while skinning an animal for the first time, WHILE simultaneously acting?? If I was doing that for the first time, I’d be slow and awkward, so grossed out and distracted that I would forget my lines.
I love watching reactions to the History and Lore videos, particularly when you're just starting out the show as definitely adds more to the backgrounds of certain characters like Ned, Robert, the Lannisters etc.
Just wanted to say you're doing a great job with your upload schedule. A lot of TH-camrs milk the crap out of this show, uploading one episode at a time, and it takes literally a year for them to finish. But not you! I love that you're so into the show and that you're binge-watching it, uploading 3 hour videos and I'm I'm so here for it! 👏🏾🤩
Agreed. Theres creators on here that have literally taken 2 years to watch GOT. Lachy is a real one fr
I really appreciate your kind words legend, watching along with me means the world
10 episodes in season 1
3 videos-3 checks
10 videos-10 checks
Some episodes will do really well on any channel because the episodes themselves are good and if you put 3 good episodes in a video you’re only cashing in on 1/3 of the views you could have gotten. It’s not a big deal to smaller creators (no offense) because they don’t make a whole lot but with bigger reaction channels it’s a bad business move to do multiple episodes.
@ganjahiwalker2641 Sure I get that, but at the same time doing it this way can lead to more subscribers and help grow the channel faster because the average viewer would rather watch this format than watch someone who's taking 2 years to watch a completed show, so at the end of the day Lachy is potentially sacrificing views in order to gain subscribers and build his channel. He's also probably just not so money hungry that he feels the need to milk this the way most do, you can tell by his video format that he genuinely wants viewers to enjoy his reactions, which will only benefit him in the long run.
@@Jordan.tic999
Lol I think he genuinely wants to get to the next episode and binge the hell out of this show!
One you're hooked, you're hooked 😆
"She's got a Nimbus"
Completely misses Nymphadora Tonks
😂😂
I thought it was a deliberate joke, because no way he did it by accident lol
I know, I was rofl
"She's for the cobblestones as well" is one of my favorite things you've ever said 🤣🤣🤣
Tywin slaughtering a Deer, the symbol of house Baratheon, is one of my favorite intros of a character ever.
I love the old GRRM symbolism. They are so genuine...unlike the cringe call backs we END up with 🤨
@@wendyc1902 That scene wasn't in the books, GRRM had nothing to do with it

Stop what? everyone knows the series becomes shit
@@mrcroob8563 yes, then you don't have to point it out all the time.
To explain what happened in the battle; Robb basically completely out manoeuvred the Lannisters:
As they explained in episode 8, the Lannisters had 2 armies of around 20,000 men each, Robb had one of just over 20,000. One of the Lannister forces was being commanded by Tywin, he had taken a position between the Starks and King's Landing, trying to draw them into battle in a position where the Lannisters had the advantage.
The other Lannister army was under the command of Jaime; that was besieging Riverrun, (the home castle of the Tullys, Catelyn Stark's family).
Tywin assumed that because Robb was very young and had never been in battle before, that he would be rash and would try to get to King's Landing as quickly as possible to rescue Ned; thereby making himself vulnerable.
Instead Robb divided his forces and deliberately fed Tywin misinformation, (that was why he was letting Lannister scouts go). Rather than rush into battle with Tywin, he sent a token force to engage him and tactically withdraw. At the same time the bulk of his men were secretly double timing it to face Jaime at Riverrun.
His plan worked perfectly. He took Jaime by surprise, captured him, destroyed his army and lifted the siege, (and got reinforced by the Tullys).
Robb is actually a way better battle commander than anybody else in the story. (He's only 15/16, when he does this in the book). His only problem is that the Lannisters have a lot more men.
And in the books this is done way better, Robb actually leaves the majority of his force to fight a retreating battle against Tywin (so he doesn't just sacrifice 2 000 men) and takes his cavalry to Riverrun were Jaime is with his army.
Riverrun is on an island on a river tripoint so Jaime's army is divided in three, Robb uses rivermen to bait Jaime into chasing them to the woods, there Robb ambushes Jaime with his Northern Cavalry and takes him captive, then he proceeds to attack the divided Lannister siege forces together with Rivermen who sally out of the castle.
Thus Robb destroys as force of around 20 000 men led by Jaime with just his cavalry force of around 5 000 with Rivermen support, he then combines his force with the Tully force (and around 5k Freys) and thus now has close to 40 000 men.
Is Jaime even allowed to control his family army isn’t he sworn to the throne
He is only 14 years in the first book
@@ce666isa3 He is leading by the command of Tywin and fighting on the side of the King anyway
Yeah, I wish it was more clear in the show that Robb is being clever by letting the Lannister scout go, not weak or idealistic.
46:07 Littlefinger wasn't quite "In cahoots". Im sure he was legit when he offered to be kingmaker to put Ned on the throne, because he'd be the #2 guy in the kingdoms and he'd have the king owing him. When Ned went "naah i don't want to be in charge" Littlefinger went to Plan B.
Ye. The last guy Littlefinger would want on the throne is Stannis.
I know these are probably such a beast to edit but I really appreciate how consistent you’ve been with getting them out since starting the GOT journey. Literally if I could see these twice a week that would be beyond.
They are huge to edit but maybe I will get enough ahead to do 2 week at some point hahah. Thanks so much for watching along with me
I cannot believe you picked up on Mirri's sacrifice of Dany's child before it happened by her staring at Dany's belly. That is something I have not seen anyone do. Well done
I've seen two other reaction channels pick up on that not too long ago. But he was the first one to be suspicious of Mirri from the start and not hating on the Dothraki who accused her.
Baelor is the name of a king from way back. There's a statue of him , and Arya is standing at the base of the statue when Ned spots her. Saying 'Baelor' was a quick shorthand way to say 'my daughter is there, please look out for her'.
3:13:59 "and for the first time in hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of dragons."
Reading this line at the end of book 1 always gives me chills
honestly i really love the actor who played Joeffrey.. he's too good that people hated him.. he really did a great job
Agreed, he’s a great actor and so is the actor in House of the Dragon that plays Aegon. Great villains.
@ aegon still has a long way to go if he's gonna watch Joeffrey's character
The thing that always gets me (beside Ned's beheading) is seeing Arya's face as she turns and see the hatred for her father by all the people in the courtyard. It broke her, I think. It broke me to see her face at the betrayal of a father she adored. She had never once seen people's hatred for the man she loved. It will be life-changing.
LOL! “…in cahoots with the twin-smasher…” 😂😂😂
2:29:16 - Ned's death proved no one is safe on this show. That's why Game of Thrones is so addicting.
Not true. Someone has to survive stories. Ned just wasn’t the main character in the series as a whole.
@@similarrose5811 Of course, it`s true. I have no idea what you are trying to say with your sentence, but there nothing makes any sense at all.
@@Honkeydoodle Nope. Some characters are safe, even in this series. I’ve read and watched stories all my life, not once has every single character not been safe. Someone always survives.
@@similarrose5811but who was obviously safe if not ned, without ever watching it you couldn’t predict who would live or die, get out of your delusions
@@Honkeydoodle every story has plot armour for few characters unless the ending of the story wipes out the whole planet
The thing about Tywin Lannister is that even if you don't like him, you have to respect him. I actually like him as well. Sometimes. This show does an amazing job at fleshing out all the characters, seeing all sides of a conflict.
Daddy Tywin🌹
The dialogue is so good because George RR Martin is a genius at writing interesting and meaningful dialogue. It's one of the best parts of his writing. It's incredible really.
YES! We want to see your reaction to the Histories and Lore videos
Why? Who the fuck watches lore videos before finishing the show? Just at the start of it?
@Arma-S The Lore videos were made for each season's dvd and bluray releases. They were made to be watched after each season.
@@senjuguy Oh, i thought you were talking about some youtube content.
First time i hear about that, to be honest. And either way - im against it, since im more than sure that show has been made without you watching that in mind.
@@Arma-SYou've never heard of the history and lore videos? Go and watch them, they're full of great info for first time viewers that gets skipped or cut from the books and none of it spoils the show.
"milk of the puppy" haahaahah

OH DAMN hahahha I'm an idiot
@@lachyywhite The poppy plant contains opium, so it makes sense as an anesthetic.

I always heard puppy as well. Didn't realize it was Poppy until several seasons in with subtitles. 😅
@@Khay-77 Its 100% intentional. “Milk of the Poppy” is supposed to sound like “Milk of the Puppy” it’s a play on words
An interesting thing about the actor who plays Theon, his name is Alfie Allen. He’s an amazing actor and showed it through Game of Thrones but he wasn’t always successful. His sister is singer Lilly Allen, who wrote a song after him, telling him to stop being lazy and wasting his life away, that she only tells him because she cares for his future. 3 yrs later he gets Emmy nominated. People who turn their life around with their own hard work, especially after being at their lowest are seriously inspiring
2:06:18 dude that was incredibly perceptive of you to pick up on, and a masterful detail for them to put in for the actress, subtle additions like that are a major part of what makes art Art, great catch bro
That was such a GREAT detail for them to include!!
Dude.. I friggin L♡VE that you are posting these multi episode reactions and in a really timely fashion. Thank You.
Welcome to the Game of thrones. You're no longer a sweet summer child 😭
Um... no. He's still a sweet summer child for a good while.
Actually, he still is. He hasn't seen nothing yet, unfortunately for him.
@@NoSageMeadow I'm going off his reaction. He was so sweet and innocent in the first 3 episodes. He finally experienced the first pain so I don't think he's a sweet summer child anymore. And mostly is just a little joke
I love your reactions very much! Something about you is very wholesome and friendly.
Yes very wholesome and friendly for him to laugh at a woman he called a bitch burning to death. Lol ok.
I have to say: You are a true joy to watch. I love to see your genuine, honest reactions AND the quick thinking. I feel as if I'm watching this for the first time all over again. The ending of S1ep9 was the jaw-dropping moment in the history of television. No one could see it coming. Never had a main character been killed off in the first season of the show like that. I've seen people react to this so many times, but this time I actually felt it again.. and I had to cry a little. I'm so glad I was watching this at the time it actually aired. It was a true phenomenon, and literally all everyone was talking about. Good times.
I can’t wait to get Robert’s rebellion adopted into a series and we can finally see Robert in his prime before he lost everything (in his eyes)
Looking like Theon is NOT an insult
I didn't notice it until he said it, but not I can't unsee it.
Theon has a distinct face but not a bad one, no. You want to keep looking at him.
for real, alfie allen is an attractive man, playing a complex and at times hateable character
He looks way more like Littlefinger to me
@@Zealon01lmao no he definitely looks more like Theon, the main things that look similar to little finger is the length of his hair and the way his facial hair is cut but without those malleable characteristics he wouldn’t really look at all like little finger
The Great Sept of Baelor is like the largest church/temple in the Seven Kingdoms (you can compare its significance to the Catholic Church in The Vatican).
It's named after King Baelor Targaryen aka "Baelor The Blessed", who was a very pious king.
Ned yells "Baelor", because Arya was standing by the statue of King Baelor.
ahhh. the first faint breeze of autumn's chill... these are always some of the anticipated episodes for reactors.
and yet you have so much more to learn and experience sweet summer child before you can become a man of Winter. GREAT REACTIONS!
Explaining Robb's tactics in Episode 9:
- In Episode 8 (right before they brought the Lannister scout into the tent), Robb and the Northern lords were discussing tactics, and whether to march against Tywin or Jaime.
- The Greatjon Umber (the one who had his fingers chewed off) mentioned that Jaime had laid siege to Riverrun, which happens to be Catelyn's father's castle. Cat's father is Lord Hoster Tully (which she mentions in Episode 4, in that speech when she encounters Tyrion at the inn). Riverrun is the main seat of the Riverlands in the same way Winterfell is for the North.
- The reasoning the Greatjon gave was lifting Jaime's siege would win the Riverlords to Robb's cause, and ally the Riverlands with the North.
- The Lannister scout gets brought in, and Robb allows him to relay to Tywin's forces that his army is marching towards Tywin. The Lannister scout had counted 20k, so Robb let him take that info south knowing he'd be marching on Jaime.
- To march on Jaime, however, they had to cross bridge at the Twins. Which is why securing that deal with Lord Walder Frey was so crucial.
- Once the 2000 Northmen attack Tywin's troops, the diversion is set and allows Robb to march the bulk of his forces against Jaime and free his grandfather from the siege.
***The Northmen are built different and those men that marched on Tywin knew what they were up against. They didn't need to be lied to, they'd die willingly and with honor. Notice Theon called it a "sacrifice".
*****Just to show how different the Northmen are built, there's a different period in Westeros' history when there was a Targaryen civil war and The North backed one side. When lords in the South urged for peace saying that his men would die, the Lord Stark of that time (who had marched late with his army) said, and I quote, "We died the day we marched boy!"
P.S. don't look up info on the Targaryen civil war as that's the premise of House of The Dragon.
There is no single main character but rather multiple main characters.

Little finger adjusts as needed to play everything to his advantage. I do think he was genuine with the plan he laid out for Ned, because it would put him in a great position. But Ned refused, so little finger went to Cersei with a different plan that puts himself in a good position

Never understand when reactors don't understand where the witch was coming from. Yes. we are supposed to be on Dany's side, but, really.
For how easy it is to hate Cersei, Littlefinger, etc...they were right about Ned. He's too honorable and pure a man for this world that's ruled by wealth, secrets, and fear. His death was both shocking yet emblematic of what we the audience should expect moving forward.
Tywin's introduction to the show is badass!
Best side character, imo
The dude in the first episode was 100% still a deserter even if he didn't lie about the white walkers.
I love watching the history and lore videos with reactors... So, it's a definite yes for me.

For the David Bradley question about him always playing characters like Filch and Walder Frey - he did a lovely job as William Hartnell in an Adventure in Space and Time - a feature length biopic for the first actor to play Doctor Who! He was very sweet and gentle in that.

I'm always ready to use some as a hostage... hahah, I appreciate your kind words legend
This is truly the "welcome to game of thrones" moment... and boy it gets crazier
Ned's death completely changed television when it first aired. Killing off the main character of a show was practically unprecedented and was a huge part of it becoming such a cultural milestone. It made it clear to audiences that this was a story without significant plot armour, even for its most central characters, and unless you'd read the books you would never truly know who would live and who would die.
I have seen the first couple seasons of this show like 10+ times, and I have never noticed Mirri Maz Durr glancing down at Danaerys's baby when she is talking about the blood magic. Incredibly perceptive my dude, well done!
I think you’re great! Don’t listen to the haters, shake em’ off!
Another thing about Walder Frey they don't mention in the show, they are married to everyone. The Frey avoid civil wars because it will inevitably involve killing their own kin. Something other houses do have to worry about nearly as much. The Freys were late to the battle of the Trident all those years ago so they didn't have to fight their own family and they wanted to avoid choosing a side now for the same reason. It's a seriously sensitive matter that no one outside of the Freys seems to give a shit about.
"As Daenerys Targaryen rose to her feet, her black hissed, pale smoke venting from its mouth and nostrils. The other two pulled away from her breasts and added their voices to the call, translucent wings unfolding and stirring the air, and for the first time in hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of dragons." George RR Martin, last lines of "Game of Thrones", the first book of A Song of Ice and Fire.
2:35:37 just smile and wave boys 🐧 smile and wave :)
35:10 lmaoooo yeah the dialogue is so good, "You can only make peace with your enemies, that's why it's called making peace" is one of those lines that pops into my mind even when considering politics in today's world. If you enjoy reading, you should totally read the books the show is based on; most of the best lines in the show are ripped straight from the books.
That line was SOOO cold I loved it
Yesss lad thanks for the uploads
Thanks for watching with me legend!!
Once you're done with this show, one of the best things will be, after giving it some time, to rewatch season 1. I've watched an unhealthy amount of reactions to this show, so I've probably seen season one upwards of 20 times by now, throughout the last decade, and even this time with you I noticed new things, which one wouldn't ever pick up on on a first watch. But this is probably the show with the most rewatch potential I ever saw. The depth of characters and how deeply rooted every event and decision years into the future is truly what makes this show amazing to me. Nothing feels like they just made it out for dramatic effect, it just feels /real/. And when a show manages to convince you of that, it invites you to immerse yourself oh so much more.
One grime I always had with Breaking Bad (no spoilers ahead), and why I personally prefer GoT (BB is still great, dont get me wrong), is how the producers of BB were open about having changed their mind on how the story progresses, as the seasons went on. Whereas with GoT, it feels like every action is set in stone already, and there is no other way it could have gotten, we're just watching it unfold. Thanks for attending my ted talk.
The Expanse in the other show I feels is improved upon with each re-watch.
Oh my friend lol….I love to see how invested you are already in some of the characters. May I suggest getting a therapist for the rest of the show 🤣🤣🤘❤️🇨🇦
"Expect nothing from Walder Frey and you will not be surprised." True!😂
What Mirri Maz Duur did to Daenerys was unforgivable, but I can definitely understand her thirst for vengeance. Drogo and his men took everything away from her. Killing Drogo to me was well justified, but to kill the baby of the woman who helped you, it's so twisted. I feel she received the right punishment for it.
that's what i'm saying, killing drogo k fair, but any kind of animosity towards dany is weird when dany was in the same position
@nightfrost1891 I can't wait for him to meet the characters in Season 2
@@nightfrost1891 Dany's ambition to invade and rule over lands she's never even seen was the reason her village was destroyed in the first place! Dany was practically orgasming over Drogo's vow to invade Westeros, to kill, enslave, and rape its people, and to tear down their gods. She didn't like it so much when she saw it close up, no. Just like many others who want to reap the rewards of conquest without getting their hands dirty. I've less sympathy for her than the writers clearly want me to have.

The actor who played Joffrey took a similar approach, being extra polite and respectful off camera! ❤
The actress who played Cercei.. Well she actually was pretty awful to work with, and apparently had frequent arguments that delayed filming..
Apparently she and the actor who played Bron used to be involved. And after their breakup they hated each other so much they couldn't be on set at the same time.
😂😂😂 I feel for you, my guy. It's a wild ride. When i was in PT after surgery, my fellow recoveries, complete strangers, would talk theories with the staff. I'll tell you, i almost threw the book a few times. Traumatic. You may need to talk to someone😂
one of the best’s reactions i’ve ever seen❤
Thanks so much for your kind words legend!!
keep the GOT reactions going! even if they are 5h videos. i'll watch every minute 💯 looking forward for the next one
Ned Stark's death was so tragic... he kept his honor his whole life and now the one time he forsakes it to make a fake confession, he gets killed
FYI - Tywin Lanister was the mad kings hand and kept the kingdom together, while the Mad King killed people.
One didn’t have a cold sore 😂. You crack me up! Love your work ❤ PS…I also had a Banh mi yesterday. Been dealing with ass lava all morning 😂😬
Your channel is about to blow up. Consider getting a mod to filter these comments for spoilers
I love those long reactions, keep it up, even for the history of GoT
Thanks so much for watching with me legend
New subscriber here, amazing reactions to such a gold mine of a series! Random question: there are some horror gaming reels on your socials, where do you post your gameplay vids?
3hr video, you just made my weekend! ❤
Thanks so much for watching along with me legend, have a great weekend!!
Lol! Poor Lachy.. my sweet summer child.. 😂😂😂
Everyone thought Ned is the main character. Then he died, lol! There are so many important characters. I remember there is a study conducted using network science to determine the protagonists in the books (but don't look it up since the result is practically a spoiler).
Yes they don't have a large budget yet in season 1 so we only saw Tyrion knocked out. They can't afford the battle scene yet. 😂😂😂
Mirri Maz Duur was unfairly villified, though. The Lhazareens or Lamb Men were peaceful people, then their village was invaded by Khal Drogo. Her people were either raped, killed, enslaved or sold to slavery so Dany can have funds to go to Westeros and get the iron throne. The women Dany "saved" were being raped and she told Khal Drogo that if the men want to mount them, they should make them their wife (make the rape victims marry their rapers???). She really doesn't have a tender heart.
Mirri actually tried to heal Drogo but he didn't follow her instructions on how to tend the wounds (though I also read somewhere that she might have been using reverse psychology, knowing Drogo would do the opposite of what she said). Then Dany told Mirri to save Khal Drogo when he got worse, agreeing to use blood magic. Mirri also warned Dany not to enter the tent while she's doing the rituals but Ser Jorah carried her inside the tent anyway, so it's actually Jorah's fault if Dany got affected by the blood magic. But also, the Targaryen women usually suffer miscarriages and have deformed babies because of their long history of incest. So what happened to Dany's baby might not even be the blood magic's fault.
Dany and us might think Mirri's the villain, but for Mirri, Dany and Drogo and the Dothraki are the evil ones. I think Mirri actually has a death wish since she felt she had nothing to live for. "Tell me again what you saved. Look to your Khal and see what life is worth when all the rest is gone." It's cool though that Dany got 3 dragons from Mirri's death. Only death can pay for life.
Those are all extremely great points, they really did do her dirty. I fell into the trap of making her a villain very quickly
Agreed. Mirri was just getting revenge for her people.
Mirri is not unfairly vilified.
Dany didn't ask them to attack these people so she can have funds to go to Westeros. Even if she told them they couldn't kill and rape anymore, they wouldn't listen. You can't blame her for that.
And about the women she saved; Dany is not living in 2025 where it would be obviously terrible thing to say to someone who's just been violated. She lives in a world where the women would probably be killed after, and where them marrying would be ''honoring'' the women. Yes it's still wrong but she doesn't know better. But at least she's trying something different.
Whether or not Mirri actually tried to save Drogo is not clear. It was left ambiguous. What was not left ambiguous is that Mirri tricked Dany into sacrificing her baby. Lachy even pointed out that she looked at Dany's belly while they were talking about the price. And in the end she even tells it straight, ''you knew the price''. So Jorah carrying Dany to the tent really doesn't matter in that regard.
There's no reason for Dany to be seen as ''the evil one'' from Mirri's POV. First, she's a woman. Mirri should know how much control women have in their world (even more so in dothraki culture). Second, she's a white woman among dothraki which is uncommon, this should at the very least make Mirri consider that maybe Dany isn't there willingly. Third, Mirri sees the Khals disobey Dany, so clearly she's not in control even if she is khaleesi.
Mirri had every right to want to avenge her people but the target should have been Drogo, not Dany. Killing her unborn child because you think he might do something when he's grown up is wrong. And whose to say the prophecy was even referring to Rhaego and if the prophecy was even true.
@@OuroDota The target was Drogo. Dany was carrying Drogo's child. She got her revenge on Drogo and his prophesied son who would mount the world. I believe if your husband is a mass murderer and you don't murder your husband in his sleep, then any of his mass murders are also your mass murders. You don't get to phuc and enjoy a mass murderer and act as if you play no part, when you suck the murderer off every day.
