I’m a faithful Avalon King user myself. I continue to learn more about how to better apply it each time. I’ve coated 4 cars and my customers have been super happy! I’m tracking its longevity and assisting w/ maintenance washes as well. My longest application is now 3 months old and performing as advertised!
I live 20 mins west of Toronto, have a Black 4Runner Limited and am in construction sales (always in the dirt). I applied Avalon King over 1.5 years ago. My vehicle shines even when dirty/dusty and the water still beads and sheets. I go through a touchless car wash almost once a week and have never used a topper. This product amazes me. I also applied it to my windows, when I am on the highways and it is raining, I rarely use my wipers. Great product for a great price, especially when you can get it on sale.
amazing content Pan. you're the best One of my favorite coatings. I use this for clients who tell me they just purchased a new vehicle and quickly want it protected. I'll do a very quick light clay and one step polish IPA wipe down and then apply this coating to their vehicles and they are blown away. I've used Crystal Serum Ultra and CQuartz but why go through the stress of those when you can relax and not worry about anything with this great alternative. I've convinced other customers to let me put this on their vehicles instead of those and through my instructions they actually assisted me applying this. they were thrilled to be a part of coating of their own vehicle with me using an easy and quality product that is hard to mess up as they were scared to. I assured them that's why we were using Armour shield because anyone can do it. if it was CSUltra. I wouldnt let them touch it 😆 I get that pro coatings should be done with extreme care and meticulously but this stuff just proves that it shouldn't have to be. I believe those higher tier coatings are created to be extremely hard to get done correctly on purpose so consumers are forced to have no choice but to pay thousands to the coating shops. .. and that isn't right. if you purchase a coating you should be allowed to do it yourself. no questions asked and for that reason I don't use certified only coatings anymore. even though I've gotten them from pros before. it's just a scam to make installers money. A client came to me after he had his car repainted and it wasn't even bad just needed a compound and polish. i said what the heck? he told me he went to do that and have it coated but the coating shop said it'd be 2 grand or more 😆 🤣 so he left, had it repainted for 1000 then had me clean it and apply Armour shield a month later for a extra couple hundred. ..... so it costs half the price to repaint and coat your car with this than it does to just polish and coat with "certified only" coating. one could justify a couple hundred dollars . but don't know where they get 2200$ from. that's lunacy. I'd paint my car again too over going to just get a polish and coating. makes no sense
Whew glad I made a good decision, getting the Avalon coating next week. Thank you @Pan for getting us a 1 year review. Love what you do and excited to coat my new MX5!
@@PanTheOrganizerVery happy with it and my wife is loving our short trips with it. Now it's fall and better than ever, plus we got the Snowflake White!
Glad I committed the Avalon King coating to our car in May. Full detail, with paint correction, prior to coating. Took me four days, but our ten year old Mercedes C class looks better than new!
Hey Pan! I’m about to do my AvalonKing CC on my daughters new BMW. Never done anything like this before. But great videos and we finally get to see who Is behind the camera! 😉
Since your recommendation, I use Avalon King as well, but after having used Swissvax for decades, I wasn’t happy with the brilliance! So, I let it dry for a week and then use the Swissvax pre-wax cleaner Regular, with contains Montanöl, which gives a depth to the shine, and then Swissvax „Christal Rock“, and you have both: long-term protection by Avalon Ceramic Coating and the shine of Swissvax! Brilliant!
Great video Pan. Posted a comment extremely early while watching. Don’t believe it was added. Applied 2 coats 18 month ago. Despite my current situation, doing 2 bucket wash in a coin wash bay, still have very tight round beads and water sheeting. Thanks for introducing me to AvalonKing and all your Tip, Tricks and Products!
@@PanTheOrganizer I’m also using 2 “New” products from Phil. He has a much improved 007 Gloss Enhancer “Ceramic Detailer” and Shampoo “Snow Storm”. I’ve used his products for several years. You did select his Wheel Cleaning Foam in your 2021 Product Awards. He’s improved that also with a “Mega Concentrate”.
@@PanTheOrganizer We’ve never met or talked, but exchange emails weekly on products he posts on his TH-cam site. He got me enthused about detailing and becoming an enthusiast in 2016. You’ve expanded my enthusiasm!!!
I've been anticipating this video! So glad it's finally here! I just applied my Avalon King ceramic coating about 2 months ago in direct sunlight too; and it was super easy. Performance is amazing as well (paired with the ceramic spray coating from TW hybrid solutions), so I'm glad to see in this real world test after 1 year it's still going strong! Thanks as always Pan for another amazing video!
Thanks for the positive feedback! Glad to hear you're enjoying my videos Steve! Make sure you don't wash your car for at least 7 to 14 days now that you applied the coating.
Tried this coating this weekend for the first time and I’m impressed by the gloss and slickness. One of the easiest, if not the easiest ceramic coatings I’ve ever applied. Thanks for the suggestion. Happy Thanksgiving Brother
I did my application in August so it's only one month.. but when I did my first wash,, I was blown away. Looking forward to how many washes before break down... thanks Pan.. love your channel... you're my favorite on TH-cam....
Yes this is still one of the easiest to apply DIY coatings I have tested to date. Perhaps not as durable as some of the more prosumer brands, but should still give you 18-24 months of protection if well maintained, some of my viewers in gentle climates reporting 3 years.
Thanks Pan! I applied to both of our cars and two friends cars! It was super easy as you said, Pan and still going strong after about six months now. The drying with a leaf blower still puts a smile on my face! Thanks again for the awesome recommendations and the discount code, Pan!
@@PanTheOrganizer I applied one coat on my cars and two on my friends cars. I am very curious to how long the one coat will last in our Canadian winters. So far so good!
I’ve applied AK AS on three of my cars and it works as Pan demonstrates. I have CarPro 3.0 on a fourth and the AK is just as good - plus, it is far easier to apply and cheaper cost wise. Wonderful product. Thanks for the review Pan.
Hello Pan hope you doing well, I just watch your one year update of the ceramic coatig of Avalonking. I made an order to try it on my SLC300R Mercedes. I'll let you know the result, Thanks for your advises. From Puerto Rico
I was so excited to see this! I haven't personally tried the AvalonKing, but I have applied several Chemical Guys ceramic coatings, and I'm interested to see what they look like after a year. This was impressive! This really makes me want to get a kit from AvalonKing and try it on another one of my cars. Thank you!! Always love your videos.
This update review couldn't come at a better time for me! i watched your AK review recently and decided to bite the bullet and it was so easy to apply and now i see the durability, really glad to have stumbled across it on your channel
Hi Pan, if I apply one coat of avalon king a year ago and would like apply another coat on top of that coat, what should be my sequence of work from the below? I assume I won't have to follow the full process. Please suggest. 1. Rinseless wash 2. Snow foam 3. 2 buckets wash 4. Chemical decontamination 5. Mechanical decontamination 6. Compound/polish with DA polisher 7. IPA wipe 8. Ceramic coating (Avalon king) FYI: I'm aware that I will be using topper on my existing ceramic coat to keep the gloss and shine
If you do all that, it's great, but you will be entirely removing what you already have. Which can be a good thing starting fresh. You would add the first coat, wait 45-60 minutes, then apply the 2nd coat. Wait 48 hours without exposing to water or rain. Wait 7 to 14 days without washing the car. If you want to keep the protection that is currently on your car (if you're satisfied with it still going strong), you can wash the car, use an iron remover, don't clay or polish as that would damage the coating, IPA wipe, and then reapply a fresh layer.
@@PanTheOrganizer Awesome 👌. Thanks a lot for your prompt response. I was thinking the same but wasn't sure on the approach. Now that EXPART recommended I will follow accordingly. One last question, using IPA (or any other type of alcohol based solution i.e., to disinfect external surface) on ceramic coating doesn't remove/diminish ceramic coating?
No it won’t if you use a proper paint prep like the one from AvalonKing which I talk about in my latest AvalonKing SiO2 Boost Spray video, or any other good paint prep like CarPro Eraser or Gyeon Prep.
I just prepped my brand new car for the AvalonKing, Armour shield 9. It’s Monarch Orange & I can’t wait to see the results! I’ve had it for a week now and it’s only got 48kms. I want to get the coating on & cured before I really start to use it.
@@PanTheOrganizer Hi Pan, it’s a 2021 Nissan Sentra SR . I’m excited to see it with the coating completed. It’s a beautiful deep orange metallic. But hears what got me, the roof c/w all pillars & the 18” wheels are all gloss black. Remember what I said about “Monarch “ orange, it’s painted like a Monarch butterfly, orange with black wing tips. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen my wife excited about a car. She’s not really a car person like me.
Hey Pan - I live in Central Oregon and just bought a black Toyota Tundra that must have spent the first 3 or 4 years of its life parked under sprinklers. Horrible water spots on the paint and windows. What would you recommend to get rid of those water spots before applying the Avalon King? Your expertise is appreciated. Thanks!
Very glad to know it can handle automatic car washes. I did the avalon king ceramic 2 months ago and have been hand washing at home but in the winter I have no choice and have to go automatic carwash. (No heated garage or drain)
I can't recommend that people use automatic car washes though. Even though it seemed to have done exceptionally well, automatic car washes usually use very high pH soaps and harsh chemicals/detergents that can affect the durability of any ceramic coating over prolonged use.
Best of luck! You can do it! Plus you have all my videos to help you out. Follow the instructions, take your time, do a proper paint preparation, and once it's time to apply this coating, you'll see how easy it is to apply.
Wow! I gotta say that the Armor Shield 9 looks fantastic after one year. I definitely want to try this coating out at some point. I need to get a DA polisher first before applying any ceramic coating. Great video as always Pan!
I’d have to say, I tried Armor Shield by applying the coating last summer and am rather disappointed. After a correction, including iron decontamination, I applied the coating. I could tell this summer that the coating had failed on all the horizontal surfaces (hood, roof, deck lid) and wasn’t very hyper phobic on the vertical surfaces. I’m leaning back towards using a sealant at this point.
Unfortunately, as is the case for any coating, they aren't magical force fields. They do require some form of maintenance every 2-3 months if you want to reach maximum performance and durability. Even the best pro grade coatings that cost thousands require maintenance. I made a tutorial on how to do a maintenance wash on a coated car here: th-cam.com/video/IqIW78FmRYU/w-d-xo.html Also, sometimes, a coating might appear "dead" as it's not as hydrophobic as it once was, but in reality it's just "clogged" with contamination, grime and road film. So you sometimes need to use acidic pH shampoos (like CarPro Descale) to remove mineral deposits, and alkaline pH snow foams (like Bilt Hamber Touch-Less or CarPro Lift) to eliminate traffic film. That usually helps to restore the coating's properties and rejuvenate it, assuming it's still in good health. See my ultimate spring cleaning tutorial: th-cam.com/video/oTaFE_p2OAw/w-d-xo.html
It looks very nice! It's definitely there... more sheeting than beading. After a brutal winter, that is a tough coating! The gloss is blinding! White can be difficult to get that deep shine... not on this vehicle! Great video, Pan! Thanks for uploading it! Have a nice weekend.
I have used Avalon King (heard about it from your channel, thanks Pan) on 3 of my cars a little more than a year later and it is still going strong.... great product
Love to see you test a Jade ceramic or Nano pro product. I've used the Jade graphine obsidian and it's a fantastic product. Also Kamikaze would be great.👍👍👍

I heard about Avalonking from ur channel, bought from their official website, and it was sent from Lithuania. Lithuania not US? Looked up their company. Started in 2019 with 4 employees? Just feel a bit caught off guard but I’m all for supporting small businesses. I believe a good product is good product. Will give it a try once my Tesla 3 is delivered.
They have fulfilment centers in many places in the world. My viewers made me discover this brand, as a few have had the coating for 2 or 3 years now and are very satisfied. I'm happy I discovered this too, as it's the easiest DIY coating to apply for beginners or people who have never applied a coating in their life. And so far so good. Even after a year of testing, it's still going strong. And with the discount code my viewers get, it's an even better value. :)
I always follow the instructions for each product I use. So yes in this case, 48 hours. If the customer needs his vehicle back after 24 hours, he needs to make sure it doesn't get exposed to water or rain for the next 24 hours. The responsibility will be on him at that point.

Keep returning to your tutorials and usually coming away learning something new. In this case the use of MDR. Here on Eastern Wa St there is hard water. In the winter I need to use an automatic car wash. =>Q: You used iron remover and MDR. Assume you would do this on the entire car surface? =>Q: Given same circumstances ought I consider performing the same process? After each automatic car wash? Much Thanks!
You don’t use MDR for every wash. Just when needed, meaning if you see mineral deposit accumulation and/or reduction in hydrophobic properties. But yes if you are to use a mineral deposit remover you do the entire vehicle. You can also use a new shampoo called CarPro Descale that removes mineral deposits too. Im excited and nervous ... I prepped my Car today, I do not have a garage , I am going to avalonking CC my car, weather is overcast no rain or sun, I polished my windows and then cleaned them with the alcohol mixture, I will start again to degrease the paint tomorrow and start the cc, another other tips ?? I have 2 bottles and want to do two coats tomorrow. I'll let you know how it went ... thanks of for your videos again.
Make sure it doesn't rain on the coating for 48 hours after the application. After that, you can drive in the rain no problem. Also, don't wash the car for a full 2 weeks after the application. Coatings continue to cure a few weeks after being applied before reaching full gloss and hardness. Apply one layer, wait one hour, apply second layer. Boom. Done.
Today is the first day of vacation, and I'm putting a ceramic coating on the car. Adam's strip wash and iron remover, Turtle Wax one and done polish, Gyeon Prep, and Carpro Cquartz. Looks like this is every bit as good, but I didn't know about AvalonKing when I bought the Cquartz.
Awesome, good to know you will be doing proper steps. After the iron remover, you can also do a claybar to remove any other contaminants before polishing the car.
@@PanTheOrganizer sorry, I forgot to add that part. I have a clay towel after the iron remover and before the polish. I learned this whole process watching your channel.
How to protect a car we don't have a garage .we have only a small Open space and a gate.can we use car cover??.Also we are going to apply ceramic coating .
Yes you can use a car cover after you apply the coating. 48 hours of curing without exposure to water or rain is needed after your are done applying it.

Do I need to polish a white vehicle before applying armor shield? I washed, clayed, iron cleaned and alcohol cleaned. Paint is in great shape very shiny
If you had previous protection on the surface, yes machine polishing is a must as it’s the only way to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection. If your car had no protection and you like the way the paint looks, you can skip the polishing step.
I live in Florida and don't keep my vehicle in a garage due to the size of my SUV. It rains here all the time. How important is the no water contact in the first 48hrs?
It’s crucial. All true coatings (the ones in glass bottles) require a curing time where there is zero exposure to water or rain. Some need 24 hrs, others like the AvalonKing require 48 hrs.
I had my truck cut, buffed, polished and ceramic coated by a detail shop about 2 months ago. This shop was a bit sketchy, I wasn't impressed. The truck seems to bead water pretty good, but I would like to put another coat on myself. What kind of prep do I need to do since it was prepped and coated 2 months ago? I want to buy the Avalon kit and do it myself so I know it is done right. I have used Bead Maker several times on the vehicle. I'm assuming that needs to come off before applying the ceramic coat. Thank you!
It doesn't quite work that way, as you need to know if there will be chemical compatibility between the existing coating and the new coating you want to add. If you wanted to apply a new layer of the SAME coating you currently have, all you would need to do is wash the car, dry it, use a paint prep spray (or IPA) and then apply a fresh layer. And now that you have applied Bead Maker, a new coating wouldn't bond properly as there are too many layers of protection on your paint. The only way to start fresh is to wash, decon, machine polish (that's the only way to ensure 100% removal of your existing protection), IPA wipe and then start with a new coating. But if you had your coating applied by a professional, it usual comes with a warranty. You should go to that shop and have them address what ever issues you had. Typically, coating jobs are over $1000 so you should get your money's worth.
When I see your excitement and smile. I know I will have the same feelings about the product when I apply it. As always you have great videos. I watched your application video with this product and you’re the reason why I bought this. I’ll be applying this to all my cars and my motorcycle. Thanks again Pan. 👍🏻💪🏻
I coated my Chevy P/U a few weeks back. Followed the directions. Could not have been easier and turned out fantastic. I did all my windows and plastic as well. I noticed today that my windshield appears to have some crazing visible in sunlight. Very fine horizontal crazing. All the other windows are fine. What do I do to remedy this? It’s definitely from the armor shield. I cleaned windows to make sure. Please help. I haven’t contacted Avalon King yet. Thanks
Yeah you should reach out to them to troubleshoot. Did your windows have any previous protection on them? Did you prep the glass with an IPA or panel prep? Just cleaning isn't enough before applying a ceramic coating (same applies for the paint, we always use decontamination, optional machine polishing, and a paint prep spray to remove polishing oils and old waxes before applying a ceramic coating). You could try using a Magic Eraser with an all purpose cleaner (APC) to remove the current coating on the glass and restart a fresh application. Most likely you applied too much, or didn't properly wipe off after it rainbowed.
@@PanTheOrganizer the entire car was prepared properly. Wash, clay bar, polished with a wheel, and ipa wiped. Windows were washed, cleaned and ipa wiped.
great stuff. just went to town on my wife is250. did the full treatment and applied 1 coat thus far. car is currently curing now. might add another coat.
I used this ceramic coating on my car, about 5 weeks after it was applied the car was driven in rain, about week later I washed it and noticed a lot of water spots, most of which I was not able to remove, even with light polishing some still remain - do you know what went wrong, or is there a specific way or dealing with water spots on ceramic coated cars. Please advise.
I coated my car with 2 layers of AK Armor Shield IX i june this year. It performed well, but not after cleaning the hood with Turle Bug Remover. Turtle Bug Remover with a slight wipe with a wash mitt to help the bugs come off = no water beating left. The AK on the rest of the car is stil ok.
Even new cars need some form of detailing. I explain why in this video: th-cam.com/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/w-d-xo.html And to put that into perspective, here's a video I made showing the steps I perform on a brand new car: th-cam.com/video/etXhJNaF0EE/w-d-xo.html

Hi pan, can i apply a ceramic coating on menzerna 3800 polish ( with no preping) or it's crucial to do it. Like essence by car pro and then cquartz 3.0 application!!
I don't understand your question. If you use a polish like Menzerna, you have to use an IPA or paint prep after to remove polishing oils (like CarPro Eraser or Gyeon Prep). And then you can apply the coating.
after 4-5 years if i want to reapply a ceramic coating do i need to remove completely the old ceramic coating or i can just recoat it on the remaining old ceramic coating?
Pan,,, do you notice any water spotting in the sun like some other ceramic coatings ???? My black cars would get water spots from ceramic coatings I went to graphemes which reduces it alot
@@PanTheOrganizer Ya got ya I kinda was talking about rain water spotting after sun comes out like when your at work n can't dry it off. The ceramics I tried previously I would get spotting
Pan I have no garage, can I still apply this product outdoors? You mentioned don't let it get wet for 48 hours after application, I guess a little risky since I can't control the weather. What are the steps before you apply the armor shield?
You can apply a coating outside but make sure you work in the shade, never in direct sunlight. Apply on a cool surface. Your challenge will be to find a period where it won’t rain for 48 hrs after the application. Or you can find a coating that only requires 24 hrs of curing. I made a popular ceramic coating application tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/w-d-xo.html
Hi Pan. Thank you for the outstanding content! Two months ago, I clayed, polished and applied Turtle Wax Flex wax to a daily driver. I want to apply a ceramic coat to the car. Do I need to wait until the flex wax wares off, or can I do something now to prepare if for the Avalon coating?
Flex Wax can last 10+ months, so you will wait a long time if you just want it to fade away. The correct way to prep for a coating is going through the wash steps, decontamination, machine polishing (most important step to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection), IPA wipe and then apply the coating. Please have a look at my popular tutorial on how to apply a ceramic coating here: th-cam.com/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/w-d-xo.html
Excellent Pan and very glad to see how two coats is holding up. I'm touring Scotland in my Range Rover Autobiography and can't wait to wash her on my return after 2500 miles! I have two coats on all external surfaces. She's very dirty at the moment but adds to the satisfaction once detailed! Keep up the great work and excellent camera skills from Mrs P :)
2 year update? I plan to use this for my new (2 week old) Civic and my parent's 2019 CRV but the catch is it's gonna be 15 degrees to 35 degrees this weekend and this is the only time I can do this for them. Will the low temp make a difference or will it be ok to do it?
I haven't had the chance to revisit some clients' vehicles that have had this for over 2 years yet unfortunately. But from my viewer comments that have had this coating, the common feedback I get is that it lasts at least 2 years if you apply two layers (1 hour between layers) and maintain it properly. Some reported over 3 years if well maintained and if you live in more gentle climates. Harsh winters and mileage and maintenance are all factors that can affect a coating's durability. For the application temperature, it's always recommended to be around 20C (68F) when applying a coating, but never go below 10C (50F).
When applying after the paint prep should i use touch up paint for a deep scratch or chip that is through the paint? Are there any good tricks to filling in small deep scratches or chips in the paint with a matched touch up paint?
AvalonKing's ceramic coating is truely amazing. I just applied this onto my sister's new 2022 Honda Civic a week ago and now it's beading and sheeting likr crazy. The main thing I wanted to ask is that, can I use CarPro Lift on my mom's car which is coated with 2 layers of Chemical Guys HydroSlick.
Just got my AK today!!! Not sure if I will be able to do it this!!! Don’t have a garage not sure how I’m going to do this . Fall is coming in New England.
Hey pan, I’m wondering what’s the best ceramic coat in your opinion watched a few videos of you and I’m unsure which one would be the best option, please let me know, I’m buying a car soon hopefully and wanting to do a full detail on it, thanks a lot love your vids
Pan, as usual Fantastic video. i watched the first one, gave me hope to DIY ceramic coating. Now with this video, convinced I will be able to DIY ceramic coating (your brother gave me the confidence ;) ) and i will use AvalonKing. Thank You. I have a few questions, Q1. Will the ceramic coat on the windshield cause my wiper to judder? Q2. I was thinking of coating my windshield with CarPro FlyBy30. Should i skip the FlyBy30 instead just do the windshield coat with AvalonKing (when i DIY the body)? Q3. In your windshield video, using CarPro CeriGlass & FlyBy30, in the finishing you coated the wiper blades with FlyBy30. I don't think i'm suppose to coat the wiper blades with AvalonKing, right? 'cos that will scratch the windshield. Q4. Every few months, can i top it with FlyBy30? or should i re-coat with AvalonKing? btw i live in Malaysia, we only have 2 seasons here, Hot or Wet. So it rains a lot!. Sorry for the long comment. Just super excited to DIY AvalonKing. Thank You Very Much. Cheers and have a Great Day.
Hi Kg! Wow, those are a lot of questions! LOL. Q1: It depends if you prep the windshield well enough. Claybar, machine polishing, etc. I haven't had such issues. Q2: A glass specific coating will always perform better on glass compared to a paint coating that you can also apply on glass. I have a tutorial for glass polishing and FlyBy application here: th-cam.com/video/yMi5PtyqUI8/w-d-xo.html Q3: You could apply a bit of the AvalonKing on the wipers. No that will not scratch the windshield. Q4: If you apply the AK on the glass, don't top it with another glass coating. Don't stack coatings on glass. Just clean with regular glass cleaner. I hope this helps!
If I use dish soap to wash my car, will it strip ALL of the Meguiers Ultimate Wax I apllied to it one month ago. I couldn't get a garage to use to apply the Avalon King but the Black Cadillac XT6 I bought needed some protection so I waxed it. But now in a week from now I'll have my sisters garage to use. But I need to get all of the Meguiers off the car and off the glass.
Dishwashing liquid won’t be enough to fully guarantee 100% removal of the wax before you apply the coating unfortunately. The only way to ensure 100% removal is by machine polishing.
Thanks for doing the update Pan, I did my SLK with the AvalonKing a couple of months back and it's still going strong plus it's so much easier to wash and I've also got a cordless leaf blower which helps with drying the vehicle. One thing I am disappointed with is that I cannot get the AvalonKing shampoo here in the UK, even though my ceramic coating came from Germany when I contacted them I was told that the shampoo could not be sold to UK customers 🤷♂️ if you can help me get some or know where I can get it that would be great 👍 John UK
Thanks for the feedback, glad to know it's still going strong for you too. Did you try reaching out to AvalonKing to see how you can get your hands on their shampoo?
Thanks for the reply Pan, yes it was AvalonKing that told me they do not sell their shampoo to the UK as most of their stock goes to the USA or Canada. I got my ceramic coating via your link which took me to their site which I think was either Netherlands or Germany (my order was sent via Deutsche Post) I couldn't find an address on the site, they do list the shampoo but it's always out of stock and they said what I told you above. I just find it disappointing that they are all to keen to sell me the ceramic coating but not the shampoo, not sure what else to do.
Hi John! Just checked our warehouse ETAs and it looks like our shampoos will be available for Europe and all the U.K. within the next 3 to 4 weeks. We've been trying to get the shampoos in there for quite sometime but they are almost there!
Ok thanks for the reply here, I wasn't sure where to contact you but we ended up sorting this out on your (AvalonKing) FB page so thanks for the replies. Thanks also to Pan 👍
Absolutely not. You don't apply ceramic coatings on top of existing waxes or sealants. The coatings need to bond directly to a well prepped and virgin clear coat, hence the prep steps described in my application tutorial for ceramic coatings here: th-cam.com/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/w-d-xo.html
Hey Pan, first I would like to thank you for all of the useful and helpful videos, you have given me tons of help. I do have a question about the AvalonKing CC. I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. To answer your question, AvalonKing states that: "if it’s porous, and made of metal, plastic, vinyl or other stuff, the ceramic coating will adhere, bond, and protect. If you hate constantly wiping your stainless-steel refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave or countertops, consider using a ceramic coating.
Thank you Pan for the rapid response on this, I really do appreciate all your help with all things CLEAN! My wife says thank you too and I'm sure you just got a new Subscriber to Pan The Organizer. I found your site a few years back when I was looking for some help with Polishing techniques and products. I can honestly say that your site is the first place I go when looking for all things Detailing, again...THANK YOU!
Great video Pan. I have a new SUV that is 2 months old and I have applied Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray coating to it. Now if I want to put armour shield ceramic coating then do I first think about removing the spray coat and if yes then how can I do that? Will the prep shampoo by Avalon King be enough?
The only way to ensure 100% removal of durable ceramic based protection is by machine polishing. Stripping shampoos can only help to break down older weaker waxes or sealants, but not strong enough to strip ceramics. So you will have to go through all the motions like in my AvalonKing application tutorial: wash, iron remover, claybar, machine polishing, IPA wipe and then apply the coating. It's very important for a true coating (the ones in glass bottles) for them to bond directly to virgin clear coat, free of any previous protection. That will ensure a proper bonding and maximum durability and performance.
Just applied this to my girlfriend's jeep after some correction and full polish. Can't wait to see how it holds up. Her car doesn't get washed until I see it wash it myself :P Cannot WAIT to see how it holds up in comparison to another coating.
@@PanTheOrganizer I did... I did!!!! :P Thanks again for the videos and sharing your expertise. I certainly wouldn't have done this without you and like-minded channels.

I’m a faithful Avalon King user myself. I continue to learn more about how to better apply it each time. I’ve coated 4 cars and my customers have been super happy! I’m tracking its longevity and assisting w/ maintenance washes as well. My longest application is now 3 months old and performing as advertised!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Great product for a great price, especially when you can get it on sale.
amazing content Pan. you're the best
One of my favorite coatings.

My favorite ceramic coating because it’s so easy to work with. Hopefully you have an update on the coding after 3 years.
Glad it was helpful!
One little touch I do is spray on some wd-40 silicone spray lubricant on my wipers for suppleness and lubricity. I will also use AT-205.
I just put on two coats on my 328xi . I’m excited to see how it holds up to Michigan winter. Keep up the great reviews Pan.
Thanks for the positive feedback! Glad to hear you're enjoying my videos Steve! Make sure you don't wash your car for at least 7 to 14 days now that you applied the coating.
Thank you for the update Pan! I have a few bottles of this coating. I’ll try it out soon and see how it performs.
Thank you sir! :)
Ah thanks Barry! Much appreciated! 😁
Glad I waited before making my first serious ceramic coating purchase. This is clearly the one to get for the DIY guy
Yes this is still one of the easiest to apply DIY coatings I have tested to date. Perhaps not as durable as some of the more prosumer brands, but should still give you 18-24 months of protection if well maintained, some of my viewers in gentle climates reporting 3 years.
I bought this product when you did this car 1 year ago and I can definitely recommend it to anyone. This is the time to get it done. Winter is coming

How to reapply the Avalon king coating? & what I need to prepare for reapply the coating. Please advise.
You restart everything from scratch. Wash, iron remover, claybar, machine polishing, IPA wipe down and then apply two coats, one hour between coats.

@@PanTheOrganizer definitely your 911 Turbo S collection video as it shows hardwork does pay off
Hi Pan, if I apply one coat of avalon king a year ago and would like apply another coat on top of that coat, what should be my sequence of work from the below? I assume I won't have to follow the full process. Please suggest.
1. Rinseless wash
2. Snow foam
3. 2 buckets wash
4. Chemical decontamination
5. Mechanical decontamination
6. Compound/polish with DA polisher
7. IPA wipe
8. Ceramic coating (Avalon king)
FYI: I'm aware that I will be using topper on my existing ceramic coat to keep the gloss and shine
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks a lot Pan 😊

What car did you get Paul?
@@PanTheOrganizer Hi Pan, it’s a 2021 Nissan Sentra SR . I’m excited to see it with the coating completed. It’s a beautiful deep orange metallic. But hears what got me, the roof c/w all pillars & the 18” wheels are all gloss black. Remember what I said about “Monarch “ orange, it’s painted like a Monarch butterfly, orange with black wing tips. @@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for actually responding even on an older video. You do a fantastic job!
Pan, I bought this stuff because of your video and recommendation. I have yet to apply it. Wish me luck.
Thanks Konsta!
@@PanTheOrganizer 👍🏻
I’d have to say, I tried Armor Shield by applying the coating last summer and am rather disappointed. After a correction, including iron decontamination, I applied the coating. I could tell this summer that the coating had failed on all the horizontal surfaces (hood, roof, deck lid) and wasn’t very hyper phobic on the vertical surfaces. I’m leaning back towards using a sealant at this point.
Did you apply two layers? Did you maintain the coating?
@@PanTheOrganizer did two layers. No maintenance other than regular washes.
Unfortunately, as is the case for any coating, they aren't magical force fields. They do require some form of maintenance every 2-3 months if you want to reach maximum performance and durability. Even the best pro grade coatings that cost thousands require maintenance.
I made a tutorial on how to do a maintenance wash on a coated car here: th-cam.com/video/IqIW78FmRYU/w-d-xo.html
Also, sometimes, a coating might appear "dead" as it's not as hydrophobic as it once was, but in reality it's just "clogged" with contamination, grime and road film.
My pleasure Jay! Hope you have a nice weekend too!

Just painted my experimental aircraft and wondering if I should apply a ceramic coating BEFORE I get it outside for a flight.
Hey Pan, do you let the coating cure for the full 48 hrs before giving it back to the customer or is the 24hr mark good?
I always follow the instructions for each product I use. So yes in this case, 48 hours. If the customer needs his vehicle back after 24 hours, he needs to make sure it doesn't get exposed to water or rain for the next 24 hours. The responsibility will be on him at that point.

Another super video Pan! I purchased the product months ago but, being I don't have a garage, I need to wait for the dry season here in Florida. I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks for the work!
You can do it!
See my video here: th-cam.com/video/DmVnYWbSQUI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7xbppqXL1OhB0eiv
Boom. Done.
Loved the follow on Pan. Gives a great idea as to how the coating lasts long term. Amazing video.
Thanks!
After MRD, is it enough to just rinse? I thought that it is better to hand wash again to remove the product completely. 🤔
You can certainly wash again to neutralize any left over residue.

Great to hear! I like having real world feedback from you guys!
Thanks for the long term update, Pan! Hoping I get the same sort of durability on my Avalon King-coated vehicles!
Thanks Clint!

You need to apply the second coat within an hour of the first. Apply one coat, wait 45-60 min, apply second coat.
@@PanTheOrganizer Yup i did the 2nd within the hour. i was listening to you while doing the first!!
HALLELUJAH!! I liked this video as soon as I opened it, just for the sake of wanting to see the content for so long!
Hope you enjoyed the video Elliot! 😁
@@PanTheOrganizer indeed! Yhe response in the water is absolutely crazy! You could do a full touchless dry between the ceramic coating + air dryer!

You would have to reach out to AvalonKing and troubleshoot with them. I never had water spotting issues.
@@PanTheOrganizer Already did, waiting for them to reply/contact me
I coated my car with 2 layers of AK Armor Shield IX i june this year. It performed well, but not after cleaning the hood with Turle Bug Remover. Turtle Bug Remover with a slight wipe with a wash mitt to help the bugs come off = no water beating left. The AK on the rest of the car is stil ok.
Yeah some bug removers can be harsh on ceramic coatings.
Hey pan I just bought a 2022 x3 the car is flawless no scratches nothing can I ceramic coat it without the whole polishing and buffing stuff
Even new cars need some form of detailing. I explain why in this video: th-cam.com/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/w-d-xo.html
And to put that into perspective, here's a video I made showing the steps I perform on a brand new car: th-cam.com/video/etXhJNaF0EE/w-d-xo.html
Just placed an order. :) Years ago I used Carpro on my Dodge Challenger. Really helped in the Chicago winter but now I have a different vehicle and live in Florida and I've seen what the yea round sun can do to cars when not protected. BTW, love your channel.
Thanks Orlando!
TOP MARKS PAN. I LOVE THE ARMORSHIELD 9 CERAMIC COATING.

Thanks for the update Pan, it's great to see that the coating is still going strong 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Where do you get your plastic measuring cup for the soap? Looked all over and can't seem to find a decent one.
You must restart all the steps including machine polishing to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection.
Pan,,, do you notice any water spotting in the sun like some other ceramic coatings ???? My black cars would get water spots from ceramic coatings I went to graphemes which reduces it alot
I don't have hard water issues where I live (plus I have a water deionizer system) so I never had water spotting issues with coatings.
@@PanTheOrganizer
Ya got ya I kinda was talking about rain water spotting after sun comes out like when your at work n can't dry it off. The ceramics I tried previously I would get spotting
As far as I'm concerned, I don't know if I have too much residues on the lowest part but during maintenance wash the shield off effect is very slow.
That’s normal over months. Maintenance with a chemical decontamination might be needed.
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks Pan.
How are you liking the Turbo?
I'm on the list for a manual GT3.

Thank you Khalid! I will also pass on your message to my girlfriend! :)
@@PanTheOrganizer Oops! Miss P 🤭
No worries ;)
Great video, just ordered it. Can’t wait to try it out. Can I use this on hard plastic dashboard or do you recommend other products? Thank you
This is only for exterior use.
What is your take Pan Avalon king ceramic coating vs Adams graphine ceramic coating.. which one wins
For durability, Adam’s. For price and ease of application, AvalonKing.
HydroSlick isn’t very chemical resistant so I would use a different snow foam. Watch my video: th-cam.com/video/A7IMzfTTx28/w-d-xo.html
Would be really nice with a how-to video on polishing away scratches on instrument clusters 👍
Just got my AK today!!! Not sure if I will be able to do it this!!! Don’t have a garage not sure how I’m going to do this . Fall is coming in New England.
You can do this outside as long as you don’t expose the car to water or rain for 48 hours after the application.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you Pan I figured I could I was just thinking about stuff blowing around and landing on the truck
@@PanTheOrganizer hey Pan I forgot to ask you can I use micro app pad to apply the AK product looking into getting the pearl pick from TRC. Thoughts?

I have a tutorial for glass polishing and FlyBy application here: th-cam.com/video/yMi5PtyqUI8/w-d-xo.html
Q3: You could apply a bit of the AvalonKing on the wipers.
@@PanTheOrganizer ……so should I wash with dish soap, then machine polish, then dish soap again, then wipe down with IPA mix?
Great that your wife supports your passion!
Yeah she's awesome! We both support each other in our passions and also our goals and dreams.
Great update!
Can I apply this over Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax that's already been applied or do I have to strip that first?
Absolutely not. You don't apply ceramic coatings on top of existing waxes or sealants. The coatings need to bond directly to a well prepped and virgin clear coat, hence the prep steps described in my application tutorial for ceramic coatings here: th-cam.com/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/w-d-xo.html
@@PanTheOrganizer thanks pan! I literally just found that video and saw you mention that. Thank you 👍
Hey Pan, first I would like to thank you for all of the useful and helpful videos, you have given me tons of help. I do have a question about the AvalonKing CC.

If you applied two coats, did proper paint prep, and do proper maintenance it should last a long time.
