Big Nostalgia for me. I saw a video testing alarm system as a kid that featured this voice driver
yeah, I have to say comparing this to the latest driver sound ELK 110 v5, part I like or should I say prefer this and then part I prefer the other speech and tones. :)
That’s a Napco MVA-1000 driver
I've just got a new voice driver ELK - 11- v5 with siren & temporal coded tones which now includes Carbon Monoxide alarm. So i will try to get that video uploaded tomorrow all being well. hear the difference.
@@nevets1976 i also have a ELK- 110- V5 and they are great drivers
Can you show how you wired this up? I’m trying to do the same for my house! Thank you 😊
@@seanlelie1520 hi. the wiring is as follows... black and red wires to 12volt dc. then the blue wire is comnected to 12v positive RED via a relay or burgular alarm system to trigger the Burgular siren message. for the fire message you connect the green wire to a 12v positive RED via a relay or Burgular alarm system. the Fire over-rides the Burgular message if both are triggered. ive connected to my home Burgular alarm and this is via the control panel that has 3 aux outputs which can be negative or positive output. if yours doesnt have then a relay is to be used.
@@nevets1976 thank you Steve! Do you know if and how to make this driver work with the fortrezz mimolite?? I appreciate it man!
Who is the guy that was picked to Boyce this particular siren driver? His inflection is very serious, and I like how he emphasizes the word immediately so that everybody knows what that word means. Do you know the name of the guy that voiced this particular siren driver?
I don't know but someone who sees your question might be able to answer.
It's probally someone who worked (or works) at Napco or it's a voice chip.
It's funny that there are both Elk and Moose branded alarms
I have been searching for this sound for over an hour tonight- and overall like ten to fifteen years, this is the same system my elementary school used and the voices have been stuck in my head ever since…
well im glad u found it finally. 🙂
