Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.
Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.
Drawing from her chemistry background and her maker spirit, Mrs. Soap & Clay infuses her favorite things into her soapy designs and creates products that are fun to see, use, and learn to make. Stick around for this ride - she'll take you on a great one.

Don’t forget to breathe. This time of the year is meant to be fun. ❤
Every year I say I’m going to get my sh+t together early,to enjoy Christmas, and here I am again running out of time and spinning 🤪
Another beautiful soap!! That mica line is hot!! 🤩
I can almost smell it! Delightful
Can’t wait to see the next blend
This year has been unnaturally difficult, and I'm just not feeling it at all...😔 almost there, just have to hold fast, breathe, and appreciate the simple things, like this soap! So pretty! Thank you for another great video!
Same here. I have been telling everyone it's been the worst and best year I can remember. But only because I learned that I could use my voice and that I deserve compromised respect and can take back my power. So I had bariatric surgery on Thursday, and started ordering the last few items (fragrance and mica) to become a maker in 2023 when I came home; and started binging Soap & Clay videos again (my favorite past time).
LOVE that mica line.
The muted colors of the soap are nice.
I'm not in a soap business yet but from what I have oberved, yes it seems like an incredibly busy hectic time for you prrofessionals. I've just been finding my full time job an absolute drain. Cool thing is all my Xmas gifts have been home made soaps/candles etc. Even supplied both my daughters gifts for their friends. Hands down best gifts ever and feeling kinda proud of myself and really enjoying the creative proccess, fails and all!! This tutorial really inciteful about anchoring scents. Love the look of this soap.
My specialty. 😁😉
Just gonna give everyone soap this year. Easy Peasy.😊
Soap is always the best gift!
These turned out great. Love it 💕
Absolutely my cup of tea! Love the mica line!
Love the mica line!
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your videos…when I need to breathe you are the first TH-camr I turn to. Love your videos, love your commentary, love your humour and love your tips (I’m going to steal your tip for sprinkling mica, presume that’s a stocking/pantyhose on the tub? Thank you 😍🙏🏻🥰
Yup a piece of stocking material!
Everyone give yourself a pat on your back. ✋✋✋ It's been a long year for all. Enjoy family and friends, and new folks you meet. I have sold out 92% of stock and I'm not going to stress. Family first then I'm going to work my butt off over the next several months. I love everything you make Mrs Soap & Clay. I pray you will continue showing us how to. Your so much fun to learn from. God bless you and your family. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!
So I'm glad you mentioned adding another fragrance that you can use at a higher rate. I heard that even if you mix fragrances you have to stay at or below the lowest fragrance percentage rate. Like if one is 2% and the other 5% you have to stay at 2% for your whole batch. Well I didn't think that sounded correct. And from what I'm hearing you say, we can use the 2% of the low fragrance and add another say 3-4% of a different fragrance as long as each fragrance is within it's usage rate? Hope that makes sense. LOL thank you for the video! Beautiful soaps ❤️
That is accurate!
Oh!!! I love it!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Will it be on your site after the 1st? 😏😁
Ah ha… you answered before the end of the vid.
Love your videos and your talk .. it’s still funny to hear chai tea , since the meaning of chai in Hindi is tea 🥰😁😁
Ha! Someone pointed that out to me years ago, and even though I know it, I CAN'T STOP saying it.
@@MrsSoapAndClay 😁
you want a fragrance oil that has a purple discoloration, try Herbalicious Fragrance Oil, from Nurture soaps.....lol
Good to know!
Very beautiful
I never enjoyed this time of year. It is not even my belief and still I get sucked in. Spicy scents are my favorite smells of all.
gorgeous 😍
This is a gorgeous soap, I’m loving the mica line! What did you add to the top, is that tea?
Thank you! The top is the tea, yes.
Cozy scents :)
I had read that using a bit of sodium gluconate along with the sodium citrate makes the formula fight harder against the soap scum , can I ask what your thoughts are on that?
Nice! That mica line is sexy AF!
I love it so hard.
Chai means tea.
I know! 😂
