- In the 2nd Part of our Teach Mode series, TRAKing Pat programs the piece (featured in Part 1) into the ProtoTRAK RMX by using the Teach Mode. He also goes over the practicality of using the Teach Mode & why this feature functions as a smooth transition from Manual to CNC Machining.
The machine we used for this video is the TRAK DPM RX2 Bed Mill.

Exciting stuff. I always enjoyed running a basic Bridgeport mill.
I can't imagine running a BP without a PT on it! Those we're fun times...rotary tables, etc. It's been 30 years for me! T.P.
What does "SET Z" indicate? Is that when you're supposed to manually move the quill to (e.g.) drill your holes?
Hi Jim! When programming in 2-axis, it depends on whether you are running a drilling event or a milling event. When drilling, SET Z means drill the hole. After drilling each hole, you will press GO and the machine will move to the next hole position. When milling, SET Z means to bring the cutter down into the material and lock the quill at the desired Z depth. Once you do this, pressing GO will start the milling process. When completed, the control will prompt you to CHECK Z which means to move the cutter out of the material. After doing so, pressing GO will make to machine move to the next event. T.P.
@@trakingpat2750 Thank you!
Need some rlx action
It's coming...Sorry that it takes a while from filming to production but they're in the works! T.P.
I need this one
We're here if you have any questions.
Does it brew up though?
Jack, I don't understand your question. T.P.
@@trakingpat2750 does it make a pot of tea? 👍
It does just about everything else!
My goodness!!! .... In my opinion using a brush is dangerous and anyway, the cutter won't last long with that amount of cutting fluid... Coolant should be used to lubricate cool and wash the swarf away.
keep your opinion to yourself
my goodness! :)) its for Demo purposes you can do whatever you want once you have the machine
