you are supposed to have 1 player get the rocket launcher and a DIFFERENT player get the backpack. Then the player with the backpack can instant reload the player with the rocket launcher... its a team play weapon.
You aren't 'supposed' to, it's easier for reloading for someone else to do it but you CAN have your own pack and time your reloads for your launcher.

Being a veteran at this game since 2015 it cracks me up watching other people play 😂
Literally just bought this with a friend because it was on sale for 5 bucks and expected a fairly entertaining but simple experience...were VERY pleasantly surprised how even in the first couple stages there's a bunch of different things to keep track of beyond just point and shoot. Going prone to avoid sentry guns, killing enemies to prevent reinforcements, inputting commands to summon airstrikes and abilities...it's a very good design that keeps what would otherwise be a mindless experience fresh and engaging.
Its nice to see helldivers 2 annoucement made people try the first one, its so freacking fun. I spent an unhealty amount of time playing it when we got it on ps plus back then

There is a Helldivers 2 coming, and if you use the recoilless rocket launcher, if someone else takes the backpack and reloads you, it goes faster. Also forgot the mechs can fire calldowns from inside.

I was craving some helldivers after watching the "Helldivers 2" trailer
I haven't played this game in a minute
But yes one of the best co-op games. The stratagem mechanic plus friendly fire always keeps you on your toes.
10:53 I nearly choked to death on my water. Literally dying laughing. The DS9 clips are absolute PERFECT btw!
And its getting Sequal. This time in THRID PERSON! Edit: when using the Recoilless Rifle, have 1 person carry the Launcher and another person carry the Ammo pack. Doing it this way allows you to reload the thing almost INSTANTLY, instead of your character having to go though a 5 second long reload animation.
I loved playing this game for hours with my friends using its co-op made. Very fun game, glad it got some more light on it.
Oh, is this the same Helldivers I hear whose devs are working on another game that was announced at Summer Gamesfest?

While it's sad that the second game will not be top down, still great this game is still alive
I feel like even if the second game is amazing. It will be such a different experience that the first will still be very much its own thing.

My son and i have been playing this since launch off and on (hes been playing almost non-stop). We are hyped for HD2.
This game is really ment to be played with controller. I love it as it was for the psvita and ps3 at first. This game is awesome.
HellDivers is great, but my group of 4 had even more fun with Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop.
I remember playing this on my ps4, lots of fun. I preferred the laser weapons for the theoretical infinite ammo

I have mixed feelings on the third person sequel. It is basically my dream game, but not necessarily the one I wanted the developers to make.

Mechs have a shoulder stratagem launcher so you can throw pokeballs from the inside. People always assume they can't do that :D

I have over 800 hours of gaming time under my belt with Helldivers.
I still enjoy playing it every now and then!
You can use strats while in a mech and the tentacles leave marks on the ground pointing back to the tentacle tank

Cool game but the camera view feels too restricted for me, I'd prefer an option to have a more fluid and free view, perhaps have an option to give each player their own respective views with their player character being their own center.
Concept wise, it does encourage team work but it heavily restricts the camera view, especially if the center does not orient nor cooperate well.

Deep rock takes a lot of aspects from helldivers
While DRG has great player synergy and rewards adaptability... it extremely lacks combat depth in moment-to-moment gameplay compared to the like of Vermintide 2...
Great at what it wants to do, but extremely limited and barebones in combat depth.
If you like this you’ll love Deep Rock Galactic.

The problem this game is that you have to be on the same screen as your teammates when playing super restrictive making the game a lot worse despite all the good parts about it, hoping the sequel fixes that
