I don't know many groups who could have pulled off a song like this. So much vocal versatility and charisma from the members. Early days of course but I could easily see this making my Top 10 for the year. It's such a pleasure to listen to.

The change-up was so good and so different, it is both its own separate thing but integrated with the song quite nicely! NMIXX for life
and it was very unexpected too! Normally you would expect the change up to be from the 1st chorus to the 2nd verse but this time it was from the 2nd chorus to the bridge!

Short version of their lore is this. The world we live in has people going through rough times , not being happy , struggling and experiencing all these negative situations/feelings (which is portrayed as the gloomy parts in their M/V) but NMIXX are coming forth inviting us to join them in the fight of making the world a "dreamy" place where everyone is happy (the parts in their M/V's with the bubbly visuals).

Στο κανάλι "ItsAndyandJas" εξηγούν το νόημα των στίχων τους που χάνουν στην απλή μετάφραση. Το όλο project NMIXX είναι έτη φωτός μπροστά απο καλλιτεχνικής άποψης. Και αυτό στο λέει κάποιος που πιθανόν να είναι ίδια ηλικία με τους γονείς σου με ό,τι συνεπάγεται αυτό απο άποψη μουσικών ακουσμάτων.
The change up actually transitions well back into the rest of the song while also staying the in tempo and the meaning of the song aaahhhh the best change up yet!

Nmixx is here! This comeback has been so good! I think run for roses and dash are one of the unique sounding kpop songs out there. I still can’t get over that violin in run for roses 😂

Learning from O.O's song, Mixpop this time will be like two songs with one hip hop genre and one fairy genre, and they are combined and become the title track. Like O.O which has Baila Ver. And Superhero Ver. 🤔

NMIXX STORY/LORE EXPLAINED:
Remember the teaser of their debut AD MARE? the one that says "Sweet Oasis" in a Jar that is full of sweets. We know Oasis is like a paradise in a harsh environment like desert right? despite the hot, dry environment, there is like a place that is fertile with water and cool right? if you go to that place you don't wanna go back out to continue your adventure right?
Hear me out on this,
There is a similarities between the "Sweet Oasis" jar and the Donut shop in 0.0 MV. Both of those things
"contains" colorful and "overly sweet" things.
Haewon says in the Docking Station: Declaration video: "Something green and "OVERLY SWEET" is deceiving us and getting in our way" then it shows the donut shop from the MV that is green.
She followed it up by saying: "Sweet things seems good but they stop us from imagining" They are practically saying that the "Sweet Oasis" is a trap or a distraction that gets in the way on our Journey.
Haewon also followed up by saying: "People whose existence was denied wish to stav in the maze of 0 and 1 rather than take on an adventure" In connection to what she said before, she basically said most people are content to stay in a maze that is limited because that is were they are comfortable at, instead of exploring new things and taking risk to find more bigger opportunities in reaching your full potential.
Remember in the MV, on their journey where they went to the donut shop and they were like looking around amazed and wondering what is going on in there. As viewers we were like "WHOAA" because there is a lot of colorful things, then there is Bae's part when she said
"See that maze in zeros and ones, Stop staring come follow", keep in mind that 0 and 1 mentioned in the lyrics are the "ONLY numbers" that made up the Binary Language.
Bae basically told us that even though the things in the donut shop/maze seemed nice, the shop was only a container for small and limited things, and if we are tempted or get distracted on the way, we may never get out or possibly miss on a lot of good or much better things outside of that maze. She also said "stop staring" which meant don't be distracted by these things and just follow them.
Then Sullyoon followed up by saying
"Cause everything is fake but I ain't fake" which seemed like she is trying to persuade us not to be fooled by these things presented in the donut shop.
Then we see JINNI bursting out flying from that shop/ maze which symbolizes like she was free from the maze that is trying to contain them inside and we see the members going out all smiles after experiencing a much bigger world and better things compared to the donut shop that were distracting them.
In relevance to while that is happening we hear Lily singing "Bam Bam BAm, See more more more" basically saying you should SEE MOREEE or Explore more!
There are these quotes that i found which is aligned to NMIXX's messages on their concept:
- "Just try new things. Don't be afraid. Step out of your comfort zones and soar, all right?" - Michelle Obama
- "Never be afraid to try something new, because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know."
(I literally saved this quote year a go and I never imagined that I would be able to use it again, lmao btw this one is the lore from ad mare O.O era to expérgo - LMLT era) meaning each comeback is a continuation of their story/lore

the lore is actually more simple than it seems.
basically nmixx main goal is to enter mixxtopia,a world where all there dream come true.

The only probpem is that there are some people that dont want them to go mixxtopia,for this reason in love me like this there wasnt a change up,because they couldnt enter mixxtopia.
In rollercoaster you can actually see that bae dreamed about her and her fellow members entering mixxtopia.
Also in dash i think that nmixx is actually in prison due to entering to many times in mixxtopia and they actually escape.For this reason they are a lot of they're picture in the roads of the city.

The lure is all 6 members are in an anti- powered prison far from the normal people and each of them represents the animals we see in this MV. They are trying to escape so they can have their power back.
The continuation for this MV is the " Run for Roses".
Each of them represents animals and "Roses" is their sacred Piece (Not the ordinary Roses, it's a mimicry roses that is hard to find and only be seen once every 3 years😜) that they are trying to find.

Honestly they most impressive vocals in the 4gen the runs the clearness and power there is no group that is such a powerhouse vocal group like nmixx in the 4gen.

Most of the stuff you're wondering about when it comes to the lore (are they breaking out of prison, whats up with the "hey you batards, I'm still here" quote, etc) are referencing the movie Papillon!
I dont think this is the first time NMixx have heavily leaned into references to film, so I think its part of their concept to pick one and work it into the lore in some way.
I'm gonna be singing "Um, I just wanna continue my pace hah" all week.
The change up already started when KYUJIN ripped that poster off so we got 2 NMIXX change up's this comeback

Cool as F video w the captive prisoner motif, zebra suit inspired fashion (even put in an actual zebra!) and "I wanna dash" chorus with motive to break the hell out. The final sign showing "Hey you bastards I'm still here" taken from movie "Papillon" when Steve McQueen finally escapes from Devils Island penal colony after many years of an unjust imprisonment. Highly recommend that movie even though it is a bit old it is a classic.

In all my years in the music industry, there has never been a perfect song or video but I think I have found it. I thought Run for Roses was great, but Dash is next level. Imo, the lore to NMIXX is pretty much of a fairy tail/fever dream. I may be wrong but that’s just what I get from watching their videos.

For me, the difference between this and O.O was two things : a) we knew the change up was coming and b) the change-up complements the main song instead of being straight-up better than the end pieces. When O.O dropped, all I wanted was the other half of the superhero portion. In this one, it's all delicious. The part where she sings "I just wanna continue my PACE" and then immediately to DASH (the pace they're moving), SO GOOD.

Ill try to keep it as short as possible and im still new so dont quote me but basically the overall lore is that the girls exist in the real world (FEILD) and they have dreams of a place (MIXXTOPIA) where they can exist peacefully and where all of their dreams can come true. Others arrived their before them, including an unknown person (N). He didnt like how others were enjoying the world differently from him so he and some goons (MONOPOLE) made this green candy that is so sweet is basically brain wipes you and leaves you susceptible to his influence. The girls are now on a mission to stop him and make MIXXTOPIA safe.
Theres much more but that the basis of it from what i understand, hope this helps yall a bit :)

i watched a vid about nmixx lore a while ago so i'll tell you about it :)) (also im british so sorry if you dont understand some dialects)
in the video, it tells us that there is a place called the mixx and it has anything your imagination could think of. at the end of the mixx there is supposedly a place called mixxtopia where all your wishes and dreams come true. many people set out to find mixxtopia, and among them was an evil adventurer who polluted the mixx because he wanted to make everything look appealing and satisfying. monopole was an organization that supported him and wanted to eliminate diversity in the mixx. monopole began brainwashing the mixx into mindless servants that do everything the same way.
due to monopole, pick n mixx (the donut shop in o.o) was re-established as sweet oasis, a sweet shop (candy store) that only sold the same green sweet (candy). nmixx were living in the real world (og creator calls this the field)
one day, nmixx were drawn into the mixx by a magnetic force, accidentally reopening the mixx. there, they saw what the mixx used to be before monopole. the girls decided they would go to mixxtopia.
(this part is a little piece of lore, skip it if you want) in one of o.o's inkigayo performances, there was a ship on the massive screen behind them with a flag that said 1872 on it. this was a reference to the mary celeste ship that had gone missing and found abandoned on 12/4/1872 without her lifeboat. the strangest part was, the ship was still in good condition and completely untouched. the crew pretty much disappeared.
nmixx wanted to go on the journey to mixxtopia with as many people as they could. they needed nswer.
monopole and the anonymous adventurer attempted to pollute and become obstacles for nmixx. they maxed out nmixx's fears. their fears took shape as a massive cat. the cat played games to scare nmixx, but nmixx found the games fun. this made the cat shrink.
nmixx finally set sail for mixxtopia. soon after, a whirlwind came crashing at their door, leaving them scared and confused. it threatened nmixx, however, they soon learned to embrace their feelings and choices and face the whirlwind with confidence.
all of a sudden, sweet oasis had been under investigation by nmixx as they believed something suspicious was going on. to the public's surprise, they were right. they found nswers were locked up and brainwashed by monopole and the evil adventurer. nmixx made a plan to save these trapped nswers by using wisdom, love and courage. eventually, the nswers break free.
to celebrate, nmixx throw a party in the woods, spending quality time with nswer and having fun as if it would never end. it was a moment to breathe and realise how far they came.
nmixx decided to go back to the field (real world) to gather thoughts of the utopia they were searching for. as they thought, they realised that they want to attract more people with the magnetic energy to venture with them. after all, they can't do it without nswer. they can't do it without you.
