Smart idle systems are a great resource for truck drivers. I love the automatic idle systems when I need to stop for the night. Kenworth's auto start/stop system is not the best at telling you how it works though, so we made this video to help you better understand why it is doing what it is doing.

Outstanding it works when it drops below 11.9 v it kicks on thx. I'm in the loaner Kenworth until my Freightliner gets fixed, but I might just keep this loaner it's more roomy on the inside. ✅️

The newer systems have the control panel in the sleeper integrated with the espar heater.

great video, helped a bit with the basics. Im having an issue that I cant find anything online about, the auto start stop wont turn off! Its 90 degrees outside, I have the panel in the back set to 78, the front is also set to 78, auto is engaged, and the sleeper over ride is on, ive been experimenting with different stuff. But my issue is the bunk fan will run for a while at first. then the bunk fan turns off once it gets cool, but the front fans keep going at a very very low setting and the truck wont turn off. any tips?!

My heater in the sleeper bunk don’t come on it’s still blowing out cold air and I have it on 84. Why is that?

Will the electronic APU boot when you operate that switch? Truck has been sitting for 2 weeks and it's totally dead.

Have a 2023 t680 kenworth,apu suddenly isnt working ,starts then fails 10 seconds later...how do you reset or does it need the dealership?
Your trucks are bad so far,in my experience, norhing but issues and going to dealership to try and fix

The horn still comes on without the door being open.
My next gen is a pile of nonsense.
It doesn't look at the load capacity if it drops .Oh well , you'll need a jump start after your 10-hour break. And yes ,the people at kw don't know crap. Just build it and get it on the road.
I've had this truck almost 2 years, and I have to say that it's a pile of rubbish. ( but, it's still better than freightliner ) . It shouldn't not all do with temperature, but also when the battery load drops.

The way it works for me is when the engine is off doors are shut and locked. I’m assuming if they’re unlocked the engine still considers them open I could be wrong.

Your battery right below your voltage reading in the top left corner you read a percentage that percentage must be under 50% for auto start to come on I had the same issue I hate these new model trucks
