“Jane” - I suppose that would make you Mrs. Jim Hall. If that’s the case, it’s my pleasure! If you wouldn’t mind one question about Jim: in 2019 I was at the Met Museum and noticed one of Jim's D'Aquistos in their permanent collection. On the side of the guitar I noticed a sticker that read "Jane is #1". Do you remember what year he stuck that on his guitar?
@@spb7883 I wish I did remember - it was a long time ago. It was such a beautiful guitar and when Jimmy was making it I suggested the finish. I never liked the white rims so many guitars had - and I thought of a violin color. When it was finished it looked so classy and shortly thereafter Jim put the sticker on.
Masterful performance!
This is gold!!! SO glad this exists
Thank you - memories are so wonderful. jane

@@djangowoof Many thanks for your reply. As a guitarist, his music means so much to me. So wonderful to see this fantastic clip.

Magisterio. Una delicia.
Most beautiful rendition of "I Should Care".
Thanks so much for this, by two of the greatest who demonstrably displayed real affinity and appreciation of each other.
Wonderful
Absolutely amazing, two masters at their craft.
This is unbelievable!
Thanks for posting. This is fantastic...
conmovedor!, que par de joyas de la música!
Two quiet Americans working their magic in old England.
Thanks for this. I think that is an Atila Zola pickup on Jim’s guitar. He sounded great whatever he used anyway.
its a Zoller pickup, correct. The guitar is a D'Aquisto
Immensi!
In Italia Dino Piana e Franco Cerri.!😇
Oh man....! thanks a lot for uploading....! is there a chance you have the complete video?
Sorry no, as far as I know that’s all there is! There was a TV programme about the festival and this was the only clip they showed of Jim and Bob.
This is such a precious jewel those 2 were great friends And it's nice to see them happy enjoying them selves!
@@intuneorange yes, they used to throw a football in Washington Square Park and once Jim's finger got injured right before a gig. No more football.
Great musicians, even if valve trombone is kind of poor in the lower tones in comparison to slide trombone.
But show me a slide trombonist who can play lines like Bob...
@@bradbroadhead6518 no one of course
There must be somewhere else they can go to practise…..
