The braking and traction on a keyboard is decent but steering for me was terrible

Monkey one Problem with your statement: There is abig diffenrence between "Don´t forget to subscribe guiz!!!!!" and "If you enjoy the Video drop a like or subscribe" (as it was said in the Video). I don´t see why there is a problem with that, especialy as this channel is pretty small and Foxy is probably trying to grow. There is nothing to excuse for here.

I don´t know why this Video has such a bad Like/Dislike ratio. No Clickbait, commentary and Video quality are good (sound was a bit weird later in the vid) and also no constant begging for likes/subs (Asking for like and sub at the start/end of the video is totally fine, also you said IF you enjoy the Video so thats good.) And the Video was rather enjoyable, so good work.

People don't like my voice, see I'm driving a Merc and that I use corner line only which makes me shit and then they dislike with multiple accounts. But it's nice to see all the support and at the end of the day that's all I care about :)

+cfg_Forumic I have to add that i know nothing about F1 2017 or real life F1, I just found this video randomly. So if it has something to do with the game, im probably not able to make it out. I also saw some people complain about his voice so i rewatched some of the Video and I still don´t think it´s slightly annoying.

You went flying in the quali because the wheel has slided under the nose and the car bumped on top of it and went up :) But that was funny!
Haha thanks. I did some testing after the race and it turns out the ghost AI causes your car to flip like that and it never happened to me before so I put a strong reaction on as if never experienced it before

i'm surprised their top speed doesnt appear to be slower, they are simply less aggressive in corners like less experienced drivers would be, suppose that does make more sense than artificially crippling AI
dont see the need for you to constantly complain about how slow they are, they can still be used for draft/slipstream, they still have enough gforce, they're still F1 cars
I don't understand why people believe I'm complaining about their pace. I've never played against the slowest AI and made this video all for fun. I was genuinely shocked about how slow they were because I never tried it. The AI's on this game brake extremely early into corners and don't use full throttle on the exit of corners for about 3-4 seconds, but no I'm not complaining I was having some fun
it's a fun idea, the disconnect seems to be at times you dont sound like you're having fun or that you're impatient when being blocked, there were moments in the video where your wording or tone is what's normally used when people complain, such as "ugh can you go any slower?"
the way i see it is that it's such a snappy car that one second of waiting during a corner isnt much of a loss, it's different from a slow bloated vehicle like if it were a boat race
as an aside, most of gran turismo 5 & 6 consisted of passing everyone from the back, a very similar situation with slow AI until you reach the podium positions, i've gotten so used to such dull opponents
edit: nothing personal, but most youtubers think they need to be speaking at all times, this results in way too many forced emotions, overwhelming dialogue for the viewer to process, a lot of vocal noise that can get irritating fast, & on top of that a lack of game audio especially if it's practically been muted (in this context, f1 engines sound great, we should get to hear them)
when l4d came out, the 'director' is one of the best ways to design action, there needs to be quiet downtime, it lets you think about what events transpired, yet also creates tension, the intense moments have more impact since they're not constantly fatiguing, in a way it's quite similar to how music should avoid 'the loudness war' by keeping a large dynamic range of volume, so i think the same should be applied to spoken video footage, whether it's gameplay or a documentary or a vlog

TBH i started on 0% to learn the game how to attack apexs , avoid traffic and calculate what the car could do. After 1 week i changed to 80 cause 2 easy... fyi i only started in 2018 with a joypad. Swapped over to racing wheel after 2 months racing 90 now cause still 2 bad to perfect every corner :(

Thanks. It's mainly due to me having corner line because braking is harder for me this year. I'm not here to be a sweat and go no assists and be crap I'm just making vids with the assist that I want and have fun. People can say what they want but no one is forcing them to watch my vids

Don't know if anyone will answer this but, do you guys have any tips for this? I race on 55 and I struggle to reach to first place...
All about practice and seeing where you're going wrong. Is there a specific element of the game that you're not good at e.g braking/accelerating/turning. Do you run with set ups. That will help you gain speed. After finding out where you're going wrong and getting set ups then it's about practice and slowly moving up with the slider till you find it comfortable then keep moving up at your own pace
Foxydude98 thank you for the answer, and honestly I'm not quite sure, I've played a lot of racing games and I easily master then, but this game is on another level of challenge, I started with the Honda Team and even on 50 I could not beat 19th place. Now I moved to Ferrari and I'm getting podiums. Maybe my problem is the way I take corners, most of the time I brake really late to catch up to the AI but on the exit I lose to much momentum. Another thing that I never understood is the vehicle setup, I don't know what to change in order to "make me better on track", and this game is sooo.complex x.x. F1 cars are so different from GT1 or even Rally, it seems I can't master them...
Ah okay. With braking not sure what assist you use but if you're used to late braking try low braking assist. This will gradually slow your car down and allow you to brake later, make the corner and get a good exit. With set ups its about the track layout. For example a track like Monza is a high speed track. For that track I use 2/2 wings, the transmission I move the top row to the lowest it can be and the bottom to 75% (default setting that one), suspension geometry I keep the top two default and the bottom 2 move one click to the left. With the suspension its all about the track surface. If you have a lot of corners you need to change the front suspension and anti roll bars to 8 if you're at Monza. The rear suspension and roll bars I drop down to 4 and the ride height to 5. The tyre pressures keep the front the same and the rears to 21.1 psi and ballast at 6. That's the base set ups I use and it should help with stability, traction and cornering. When you try set ups you can alter them as for example the McLaren has a great chassis so you can lower the wings a tad etc and that should help a bit
Is the F1 2017 AI same as most racing AIs that don't go full throttle on the straight if not on 100? I hate this so much I know how to go full throttle -.-

What essentially happened in the beginning in Qualifying was that you lost your Front Wing and there was a huge loss of downforce - the rear was still generating significant downforce and because your front was no longer, it basically flipped up - see Mark Webber in Valencia 2010. He too flipped after losing his front wing in a scary crash.
It wasn't that basically I spoke to codies and they said it was a glitch with the ghost car. I had it set too off but when I came back on tract the ghost car went straight through my car and launched me

I thought the number of laps was dependent on the distance traveled? The shorter the circuit the more the laps, so in the end, you will still have the same distance to cover in Singapore, just more laps around? So wouldn't the result probably be the same, not counting the nature of the circuit itself.
No each track is different in terms of laps and track layouts.
Yes, but isn't the overall distance covered the same in each race? 305 kilometers with the shortest number of laps required? So if a circuit is 30.5 kilometers per lap then there will only be 10 laps for that race. But if the circuit is 3.05 Kilometers then the laps would be 100? But in both cases, the distance covered is still 306ish kilometers. exception for Monaco race which is 260 Kilometers at 77 laps?
I thought that is how it works in the rules?
0 AI is how I feel racing in the F1 car in iRacing.

The reason why you were still in last position after Bottas had retired was because you hadn't completed as much of the race as he had before he crashed

Actually the AI was way faster, than I expected. I thought they would stand still, since they are on 0%.
The difference in performance for the AI is their braking point and acceleration. Straight line speed is the same, but the brake very early and are extremely slow out of the corners
You should try this with a sauber
Yeah they’re slow but imagine how many kids may be playing this game. Imagine a 7 year old kid, no racing experience, no plan of how everything works, that’s what the 0 AI is for so they can learn the basics about the game and racing

The Ferraris pullibg away remind me of Mario Kart 64 AI where you get 2 rivals in a 4 race cup that are way faster than the rest of the field. Maybe codemaster copied that AI code.
Never thought of that. With the team performances set to the Australia spec Ferrari and Mercedes were 1.2 seconds per lap faster than the Red Bulls, until a performance patch comes out they won't be any closer to them

And how does having corner line make a race Pathetic. Everyone has their own skill level and not everyone races with everything turned off
the pethatic point is that youre blaming people who drives at low AI skill. So that means you think that you are really good at the game because you race against 110. but actually you arent because you need some assistance. I at least accept that im not that good in that game so i play un 80 percent but with everything turned off, so that i learn it properly
