Started a race at Nashville, entire field/game was frozen but the camera was turnable. If you even think about turning right, the car flies into the wall. Making contact with a car on the outside of you when you're 95% of the way passed them causes you to crash. The AI at Daytona and Michigan (possibly more, haven't races every track yet) hit the brakes abruptly going to Turn 1 and 3, or hit the brakes out of 2 and 4. The Next Gen plate racing is broken, they won't pass each other like normal and immediately dive to single file. Oh and the game's graphics are horribly unoptimized. I can run games like Rfactor 2, Assetto Corsa, BeamNG, etc., at the highest settings or close to it, yet this game I need to drop everything to Medium just to get slightly above 30 FPS. NH5 looks nearly as good and yet it runs flawlessly. Funny how NH5 is getting a Next Gen update despite how old it is in comparison. Almost like they know how broken this game is.
This game has singlehandedly almost killed any desire to play any NASCAR games that come out in the future. I doubt I'll ever touch another title from this joke of a company

You ever notice a reoccurring theme with the racing games since EA dropped it? When Activision was in charge, the game was garbage. But after a few years, they started bringing out a decent product. They were starting to get a hang of things, and then NASCAR pulled the plug on them. 704Games was then given the job. First game was garbage, but as time went on the produced a better product. They were starting to get a hang of things, and then NASCAR once again pulled the plug on them. Isn't it strange how every time we start to get a decent product, NASCAR proceeds to undermine it and restart from scratch? I am in no way defending NASCAR 21 in any manner, because at least NASCAR The Game: 2011 and NASCAR Heat: Evolution were playable on launch day, and you could actually complete a race end-to-end without the code nuking itself.
I got it on sale, knowing how bad it was. My goal was to have fun with the stupid glitches and what not and fool around, but it was literally near impossible to do even that!!! No matter what settings I used, the car had barely and traction and automatically turned to the left on the straights. Not fun, even if you’re just buying it to screw with the glitches. My career mode also broke after the first race, no matter how many times I restarted my Xbox, the camera got locked on the underside of a trailer upon loading in.
For anyone wanting to know about a new racing game check out the world of outlaws dirt racing game. there’s real tracks real drivers 6 different types of cars with a dlc that will include more tracks and 2 more types of cars and a lot of other great things are on that game that you can watch videos on. it was made by iracing and monster games and this game really shows what monster games can do. the only reason I’m going to play the update for nascar 21 is cause Im still waiting of my copy of the game to come

Update: Upon further testing: Gen 6 cars literally cannot use 3rd gear, you can downshift to 3rd but upshifting goes straight from 2nd to 4th (atleast on the automatic setting) meaning you are fucked every time you accelerate. This among like 20 other things literally makes the game be in a worse of a state now than it was at launch.
@@easiazyy it's heat 4 but somehow they introduced glitches during the copy/paste production. dont forget the fucked up wall sponsors at martinsville, the fucked up lighting at miami during stage 2, or the fact that the multiplayer servers straight up didnt work right for months, all of which were issues that none of the previous games ever had

AI has been an issue with the gMotor engine for over a decade. If the dev team had fixed that instead of relying on multiplayer, they would have had one heck of a base to work with. Yet, here we are.
I actually won races but it was road course races, i sim qualifying and lower the laps and see if I can place well, of course the difficulty is low but I’m trying to enjoy it till the heat 5 dlc since I have heat 5 too I just like to play something updated a little
I’m getting attacked by people on my Facebook communities when I say this game is still trash, I picked it up this morning after the update for the first time in a month or two and I still cannot control my car no matter what settings or remote are use it’s just a mess the game is trash
I’ve played this game for about 6 hours now, I do play on a Logitech g29 wheel so keep that in mind. I see nearly no bugs at all. The most glitchy thing I’ve had is just the spotter said we were 3 wide when I was only 2 wide. And yes I have gone to other tracks. I’m excited fro the next gen car coming and I think this game at the very least is playable. (I don’t have any idea for what it’s like on controller but from what I see the game looks miserable to play on console or just with a controller)

I couldn't even go one lap because the game is the worst handling nascar game ever. The fucking nes bill elliott game handled better. Surprised you would even pay for this game at all lol. I was able to download the champions edition for free through piracy. I had a surprisingly glitch free experience and was able to really test out the driving model and the AIs. They both are terrible. Looking forward to the next investor call.

In addition to that, the F1 games are sooooooooooo good. Again, not saying that to sound mean spirited. 1) you can watch an additional Motorsport on Sundays and 2) you can play a badass game until this whole series works itself out. The 2022 expansion will come out tomorrow for NASCAR 21 Ingition and will be free. However you cant use the expansion in career mode for some reason. It can be used in race now

It's based off of Heat 5 with a few tweaks and HUD changes; so yes, it'll be better. Heat 5 > Ignition.
