Met Pete Rose once in Vegas. It was 2011 and he was selling autographs outside the Mandalay Bay sportsbook. I was a little hammered and bought one. 10 minutes later, I’m in the book studying for my baseball plays. Who walks in but Pete himself. We talked for about 10 minutes about who we liked that day. It was unbelievable. RIP Legend
Was a Bat boy with the San Diego Padres back in 1972. Sitting on the bench with some other batboys and ball boys , it's pre game batting practice. Pete comes over to us and says "Hey guys, let's play some pepper." So we get up and walk over to behind the batting cage against the back stop and start throwing balls to Pete. He starts hitting them back to us and wow! I was actually a little scared as he was poppin them back to us! We had to stay on our toes for these fast hits back to us. Great guy and the real deal.
Never got to see this in its entirety due to being on Patreon. Thanks to you Lil Snuff and Joey for making this available for free. Love the quality production and great genuine interview. God Bless You all and Love You Mr Charlie Hustle!!!RIP HOF!!!!
