The big problem is that aside from merged casters, only trickster and DC caster Azata (still worse than merged casters) provide bonuses of real note in Act 3, and given the pacing of the game, half of your time with mythic path takes place in Act 3, and in Act 5 it's basically over. So, I'm a writer, and I've been trying to find a build that I can use for my Big Bad Riding Hood (Red Riding Hood but she's actually the Big Bad Wolf) archetypal character, and this is like... right on the money. I don't have to suspend disbelief, the Demon rage works great because she also has anger issues, the CG path works because while she tries to do "Good", she believes violent execution fits the crime most of the time (except for stealing, because if you see someone steal, no you didn't). Anyway. I'm at level 5 rn in Kenabres still (literally just started) and I'm already starting to see the power, and that's even without Mythic 1. Thank you so much for this build. Hi there! Really glad to hear my builds have helped you enjoy the game, especially with the Shifter one! Thank you so much for the support and have fun with the Red Riding Hood run!
Very nice guide, love it and love this archetype concept! Actually was curious about what Mythic feats to pick when it's Trickster, would it basically be similar to Trickster builds in past vids perhaps?
Nice video! I think it would be fun to build a Shifter-heavy party: you could have a tank, melee dps, and ranged dps; then just support classes. I think it would be Unfair Viable.
For the record, I tried the dexterity build on Unfair and it was doable (because of course it's doable, it's doable with companions alone), but I didn't feel like it was really contributing: double-dipping stat-to-AC with the buffs available doesn't cut the 40AC "requirement" and since enemies can hit the tank (that is, you) with rolls less than 20, and being dexterity-based while using fighting defensively means that there really isn't damage-dealer other than Seelah, it means you'll probably have to restart some fights since they last many rounds. With that in mind, while the video recommended dexterity variant for unfair, I disagree; it's time to spec Lann or Wendu as Divine Hunter and roll out a leopard pet or witch dip Seelah for iceplant+lizard familiar, and go strength so there's someone in the party who can actually DPS. It's one of those cases where you can "eventually" tank (and "can" from the start, if you're willing to restart), but I think an unfair run is ultimately more hassle-free if you don't try to do everything yourself and compensate for the challenges with party builds instead. You ought to reach facetanking status pretty quickly even without really speccing for defense, so the amount of effort you put into Act1/2 matters a lot.
I meant easier as far as early (Chapter 1) on Unfair, although I still wouldn't recommend it to be the "main" tank that early, as you said a Leopard from Lann/Wenduag multiclassed is essentially free + Protective Luck from Cam. It's just easier in that if enemies attack you instead of the tank, you will have the AC to survive. But of course, STR + Reach weapons can also help a lot early like Glaives, before level 4. DPS wise you can get a lot of damage but starting from level 5-6 which is when you can find the Amulet of Agile Fists +1 in the Gray Garrison.
@@cRPGBro thanks for your work. As advice, could you insert companion builds to complement the builds you are doing? Lets say, for this character would be good to go for an arcane caster like nenio with haste, a hunter with a pet to be primary tank and a shaman or witch for protective luck. That is important to complement and since some companions leave the comander, it is important to say which one you cannot rely (in this case, seelah)
The only downside to the Weretouched is they can just shift once per day until level 4, whereas the base Shifter than shift = levl + Wis mod. Would the regular shifter be better choice in general, or does the Weretouched make up for it with versatility?
I figured you would go demon . I went Trickster and threw some levels of vivisectionist for fun and versatility but you do pick up sneaks , ac and some useful feat. Mainly shifter for 13 to 15 lvl though.
Hey man, this is probably not the video to post this, but I was curious if you can make a guide in your point of view, about beating the game on Unfair, with no mods, no XP sharing exploit, full party of ONLY story companions, without Mercs. I am currently trying to do that, with Drovier, abusing SPD aspect for kiting, with the idea of going angel dispeler build. So far lvl 8 in the chapel, we will see how it goes. What would be your choice of mythic path, companions and main character, given this challenge?
I would go for shadow shaman as angel or oracle with animal companion riding a wolf. For companions, seelah (for smites and animal companion), woljif (for traps, debuff ac and haste), ember/camelia for hexes, sosiel for domain buffs and laan for animal companion and ranged options. I would love to hear your opinion on something: I play chapter 1 on unfair with 2 different builds - one is drunken monk the other is weretouched shifter - both have 2 levels of witch of the veil with iceplant and lizard familiar and 1 lvl of rowdy for smoother progression. I personally think that drunken monk has a smoother progression (mine is lvl 6 now) due to having access to WIS to AC at lvl 1 monk. However, my shifter is still lvl 4 (just got into shifter) and I am wondering whether the DR of the weretiger together with master shapeshifter will eventually lead to an easier mid-to-endgame. The penetrating claws certainly sounds like they would deal more damage to more enemies than the monk, however I haven't played shifter to know whether it will eventually overtake the monk in terms of damage reduction, the AC will just take take time to build up (getting crane style is of course quicker with the monk, but the shifter will eventually get it also). What prompted me to try the Shifter was the damn locust swarms in Gray Garrison. They chew my monk up pretty bad, even with 40+ AC and I have no weapons against them.
Important note for weretouched - they are currently not eligible for natural spell. That's probably fine for most mythic paths, but it severely limits the synergy with lich.
That's nice to know! Thankfully a lot of Lich buffs are applied to the character like Vampiric Blades, instead of the weapon, so you don't need to be shifted for that.
I think the last azlanti ring allows you to use frightful aspect whilst polymorphed (something that was patched out a while ago for reasons I really dont understand). That is unless this has also been patched out.
Even if it does work it's a pretty small benefit given that the stat bonuses from the ring won't stack with Wereshifter's Minor Aspect (both are Inherent), especially compared with the belt's spell reflection and sacred bonuses.
@@pyrflie Frightful aspect is not an inherent bonus. For a demon, the ring, it gives additional uses of demonic rage, not the inherent stat bonuses. Also, whilst the belt has more powerful bonuses, it has a much higher opportunity cost as there are other very powerful belts and only 1 slot. Not that you should necessarily take the ring, but as he was using it in this guide and suggested seamantle, I noted that frightful aspect can be used. I expect he would just use legendary proportions instead, however.
I have come across many saying that demon is one of the lower ranked mythic paths, but both the melee and blaster caster/extreme DC demon builds are some of the most OP builds of them all, for me that makes demon the top ranked mythic.
@@cRPGBro Scroll of resourceful rage gives 1 more charge of Demon Rage. If you have a Time manipulator Magic Deceiver in the party they can refresh your rage once per rest. That means 8 charges in Act 3 and up to 22 charges in Act 5 with Aroden's ring.
Hey there. I'm new to Pathfinder WotR and started a Weretouched shifter as my 1st class. I'm wondering if there is anyway to make a decent Werewolf who summons a mini army of wolves with him. I'm guessing its some sort of build that would be Weretouched, Inquisitor Aeon mythic but have no idea where to begin theory crafting. Anyway to make a build like that work?
Been waiting for this, i was using your normal shifter build as reference, you are right about the crane style been overkill, ended up doing an str+crane build and was untochable even without focusing into dex. pd: is the nerf to shattering defenses that bad, that you decided to skip it?
I love games where I can play as a werewolf. And I love rogue trader and your vids so I obviously want to check this game out. Can you play as a werewolf from level 1 at the beginning of the story in this game?
hey does this build work for mercs? because mercenary doesnt have mythic path so is it big difference? And not just this build btw :D all of your builds
How do you deal with beast totem + shifter? I find it extremely annoying. It replaces your shifter fury to claws, and you have to re-enable it every time you use the skald rage.
pick a different totem. have a lot of mounts. Or kitsune characters who already have pounce. Or people who can turn into animals that have pounce. Hell Druid and 5 kinds of shifters works just because of how swollen shapeshifted stats can get.
Tbh you are better off with the Aeon Mythic path for Shifter, to fully abuse the Bound of Possibility cloak. Demon is really good sure, BUT I will be lying if I say it has any synergy for a Shifter. If you want deadly natural attack better off with Lich instead tbh, BUT let's be honest here the issue in WOTR (and Unfair difficulty in general) is you cannot HIT the boss, not that you aint dealing enough damage.
Demon has the Attack Loop with Kalavakus Aspect for all the Wereforms (Mounted Combat with Gendarme Cavalier as well) which is really cheesy, and also great boosts to Damage & AB. Frankly Lich & Trickster are also very strong for Shifter, and Aeon can be amazing due to the OP instant Dispel on ALL hits.
Been thinking that this might be my Demon -> Legend build I try out, since it seems fairly changeable depending on build. I awear to god you're like, intergal to my enjoyment of this game because I still can't build to save my life 😭😭😭
Natural attacks of the same type won't stack, but you can get more through Shifter's Fury & Haste. For example, you can have 2x Claws + Gore + Bite but not 2x Bites or 2x Gores from a different source, unless it's from BAB progression like the Wolf/Dog pets will get 3 Bites at level 15.
I'mnot the newest to pathfinder but I found I haven't used Cleave feat chain before and I started now. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if it's a game-mechanic I missed but I tried searching the solution to my problem and I can't find it. There are times I want to cleave and there are times I don't so I can get my full attacks-per-round but in-game I can't seem to UN-toggle Cleave so I'm permanently locked into one attack per round regardless of whether there are more than one enemy nearby or not. Also, watching your build gameplay you're still getting multiple attacks per attack action on a single enemy so I am clearly missing something but don't know what. Any help would be appreciated
@@arkuspendragon the only change is that you cant get greater command with loremaster before you get level 5 spells. Play as a sylvian sorc with the pet get the aoe best jokes and after mythic 3 switch to litch spells greater command and best jokes are still the best spells in the game for casters so you would be spamming them most of the time.
@@cRPGBro I know some do. Armor of Dispersion's "dispel enemies that crit you" works while wild shaped and shifter shifted. Anything that gives bonuses to a skill does, too, since my ulbrig still gets that Stealth+10 from his body right now.
I think it's possible so long as it's not a permadeath run, but I would much rather go for a full caster that can merge with Angel like Dual Cursed Oracle especially, or the Wildland Orc Shaman, both have ways of reducing the chance of enemies rolling a 20 for an auto hit early, which is the most annoying part of Unfair since you take double damage, and they also provide a full scaling pet from level 1 which really helps soloing.
Deity will lock you to certain alignments, so pick whatever aligment works for Demon. Demon for example is CE, so deities that allow you to be CN, CE for example.
Nope, since you can convert all damage into Force(irresistible) through Bane of Spirit Ring from Act 3 onwards, there's also the Covenant of the Inheritor relic for Act 2, and Demons have something similar but better at M7!
If you go Demon you get an equivalent for free at MR7, so it's of questionable value given the ready availability of fist amulets in Acts 2 & 3. Only Manticore really gets anything from BI as the Neck slot is really valuable for ranged builds, and even they get more benefit from a Hunter or Druid in the Party for Magic Fang, Greater.

It can I believe, but you can also just use Legendary Proportions (even if the Weremodels won't increase in size)
haha, just googled "wotr werewolf build", just to realize theres a 4 hour old video for it from you 😂❤
Nice!
Oh good. I still need to do a demon mythic playthrough
Interesting! Surprised you didn't take a dip into Wolf-Scarred Oracle. Does the extra bite not work?
Nope, as Bite attacks won't stack with themselves anymore, assuming from different class features/buffs.
I have come across many saying that demon is one of the lower ranked mythic paths, but both the melee and blaster caster/extreme DC demon builds are some of the most OP builds of them all, for me that makes demon the top ranked mythic.
Demon has extreme Melee & Spell damage + DC potential, I just kinda hate being limited to 3 Rages/day for most of the game!
@@cRPGBro fear spells. Only need one charge of demonic rage for the whole dungeon if you fight every enemy in the dungeon in one fight.
What would be your recommended good/non-evil mythic path alternative? Azata? Trickster?
Trickster all the way!
Can you try to do DR tank build? There are for sure some stacking DR variants
It's been on my mind for a while, sadly it's just that usually even the Stoneskin spell makes for a better DR source than a lot of stuff you get.
Been waiting for this, i was using your normal shifter build as reference, you are right about the crane style been overkill, ended up doing an str+crane build and was untochable even without focusing into dex.
pd: is the nerf to shattering defenses that bad, that you decided to skip it?
Yes, mostly because I find that at level 15+ when you would get the feat you can have such enormous bonuses to AB anyways.
Why not take Fury's Fall?
Wait, you were touched? Touched where?
in the werehouse
What? Who touched where? How?
Who's on first?
Any plan for a caster lich build?
Can you make a Sable Company Matine + Sohei build with Aeon as Mythic
I love games where I can play as a werewolf. And I love rogue trader and your vids so I obviously want to check this game out.
Can you play as a werewolf from level 1 at the beginning of the story in this game?
It's from level 4 onwards, which is still very early in the game!
Why no shifter fury - multiattack?
hey does this build work for mercs? because mercenary doesnt have mythic path so is it big difference? And not just this build btw :D all of your builds
Same question here. Wondering how to add more mercs in party instead of usual builds for same companions each run.
Yep, it will work just fine for a mercenary as the feat selection is the same.

Or just dont accept the rage on your shifter(its in the abilities), of course you also loose the other bonuses.
Simply choose not to accept Rage, but ideally you want to focus on the Bite attacks.
Can you do a build for swarm that walks
I'll see what I can do, but I have a full Guide with a build for it here that I find to be the strongest: th-cam.com/video/HaZj83td4Bk/w-d-xo.html
@@cRPGBro Thank you very much :) You are the best!
What about Legend? If I go legend, what should I level at 21-40?
you didn't even watch the video, did you?
Eyyy let's go man
Let's go Werewolf!!!!
Been thinking that this might be my Demon -> Legend build I try out, since it seems fairly changeable depending on build. I awear to god you're like, intergal to my enjoyment of this game because I still can't build to save my life 😭😭😭
Does the Close to the Abyss mythic gore attack stack with the tieflings motherless gore attack? Like can you get 2 gore attacks that way?
Tiefling motherless is a bite attack
@@giorgilobjanidze5667 oh lol. It's been a while. But still, do they stack at all? Or how does it work in practice?
@@nyxeliana5247 in kingmaker they all stack but i dont think in WOTR they stack anymore :(
@@giorgilobjanidze5667 sadg 🥲
Alright, I figured it out. Was some sort of glitch. Had to untoggle Power Attack for it to go to normal full attack.
Do a magic lich build next, not a melee one please!
there is already a lich build available, Lich fey sorc just take all caster based talents and follow the given lich guide.
@@Riftmaker17 isn’t that two years old? Is it still valid after so many patches and dlcs?
@@arkuspendragon the only change is that you cant get greater command with loremaster before you get level 5 spells. Play as a sylvian sorc with the pet get the aoe best jokes and after mythic 3 switch to litch spells greater command and best jokes are still the best spells in the game for casters so you would be spamming them most of the time.
Would you recommend this build over your rageshifter build you released last year?
I think this is better for early game with tanking at least.
would a "motherless" tiefling make sense for an extra bite attack or does that not stack ?
It does not stack anymore, sadly.
Am new to the game would this be good to star with
Doesn't that human skin leather armor make you immune to fire and ice while wildshaped? Or is that wildshape only like the siabre helm?
I don't believe Armor bonuses transfer while shifted, unlike all other gear bonuses.
@@cRPGBro I know some do. Armor of Dispersion's "dispel enemies that crit you" works while wild shaped and shifter shifted.
Anything that gives bonuses to a skill does, too, since my ulbrig still gets that Stealth+10 from his body right now.
@@cRPGBro Just got to Iz and tested it. The Animalistic Perseverence leather armor DOES make shifters immune to fire and ice while shifted.
How often i can shift?
As much as you want, since by default it already lasts longer than 1 hour of realtime, and through Master Shapeshifter you have infinite uses.
If I may ask, why no shifter's multiattack? Isn't it just free attack bonus
Mostly because the Shifter Wereforms don't have that many attacks, it's just Bite + Claw.
We got Skaven in Wotr before GTA 6 🐁
Hope does this compare against your original shifter demon build?
Frankly both are great, but this one is easier to play early due to the Weretiger form providing better tanking potential.
reminder that you can get Vulpine Pounce and extra bite attack if you play as kitsune :D
Yep, but then you're alreayd a weresomething by default 😀
can weretiger do solo unfair?
I think it's possible so long as it's not a permadeath run, but I would much rather go for a full caster that can merge with Angel like Dual Cursed Oracle especially, or the Wildland Orc Shaman, both have ways of reducing the chance of enemies rolling a 20 for an auto hit early, which is the most annoying part of Unfair since you take double damage, and they also provide a full scaling pet from level 1 which really helps soloing.
Does Diety matter? Do I need a certain diety to go demon?
Deity will lock you to certain alignments, so pick whatever aligment works for Demon.
Demon for example is CE, so deities that allow you to be CN, CE for example.
Is brutality incarnate not worth it for this?
Nope, since you can convert all damage into Force(irresistible) through Bane of Spirit Ring from Act 3 onwards, there's also the Covenant of the Inheritor relic for Act 2, and Demons have something similar but better at M7!
If you go Demon you get an equivalent for free at MR7, so it's of questionable value given the ready availability of fist amulets in Acts 2 & 3. Only Manticore really gets anything from BI as the Neck slot is really valuable for ranged builds, and even they get more benefit from a Hunter or Druid in the Party for Magic Fang, Greater.
🙏🏾
Finna go legend and mix this with bloodseeker and mutation warrior 😈
Legend is tremendously powerful with Shifter too, especially going Trickster first!

Here's the counterargument: You have to play as a furry.

The only complaint is that the werewolf model looks so anemic
